Im judging that by his lyrics of "delaying the date" and now that person is alone and having to witness everything after their death, hence the regret and sadness felt in the song
idk if specifically it’s his mom, ik his mom is in the video and what not so i don’t fully disagree it’s just when he says “trying to unsee how you moved on from me” and like i don’t see a mother moving on from her dead son like that. but at the same time ig the song is him saying he knows she hasn’t moved on and she’s “goddamn lyin” when she says she has, so idk i hope someday we get a breakdown but I doubt it
@@ToooSmallz I’d say it’s definitely a song written to a mother, given the footage of baby quad with a mum, using the connection of an umbilical cord is a big hint too implying he’s still connected to his mother
@@fxlunarr9157 Yeah exactly that's what I thought the tape recorder, and like him getting emotional while singing parts where he seems like he missed and opportunity to say "all those little things" outloud to her maybe?
The song is from the perspective of a child who passed away and trying to reach his mother from the afterlife, the last part when the strings get really intense is from the perspective of the mother who's living in regret but trying to hide it
Quadeca was mostly self produced on From Me To You, and will be entirely self produced on his next album (including this song) I Didn't Mean To Haunt You.
really happy to see quadeca making it to more and more ears, been a fan of quadeca for years and love the direction he’s taking and born yesterday does nothin but leave me wanting more FMTY was my personal favorite album of 2021 so I am more than excited for IDMTHY with there being no doubt in my mind that it’s gonna his best work yet. love the reactions btw keep it up
This track is a banger! Idmthy is going to be such a good album but if you haven’t check fmyt you should cause that album is unique and really good all the way through the last song
This album is gonna be 100% produced by him. This whole track was all him and on the video side he wrote and directed it and he had Joyner and Tokens director Thad Swift shoot it
This is just criticism don’t take it too serious, it seems you look at the pictures on the screen and you hear the music but you fail to see the bigger picture and you’re not fully listening to it. Maybe it’s a part of the brand who knows. Anyway I hope this helps and try to understand the lyrics because he was giving you plenty to react to, but you missed out on content due to not having any sensory awareness. Very far from Joji as well but that’s only my opinion and I’m glad to hear yours! Great reaction nonetheless z
since you're a fan of JID, please react to Kenny Mason - Minute Forever (or some other songs off the new tape). Kenny is JID x Denzel x Travis x Uzi rolled into one.
I think my problem with a lot of smaller reactors, is that they try and act like they understand artists. And then I hear them talk and they truly do not understand it at all but talk like they do.
Can you react to Stormzy's Mel made me do it, it's like a 10 minute masterpiece of a humble but very confident Stormzy 🥵 Really worth to listen to and exited to see everyones reaction xp
Bro it's just vocal layering why is everyone saying Joji vibes? No disrespect I love all of you for comparing to Joji he is an amazing artist but Quadeca and Joji are two different artists with different styles
There’s just way too much editing along with his auto tune to actually catch his lyrics without out headphones. I wanna catch on to his music but yoo… if his lyrics were more outspoken in a way to express other then putting it in the beat and sounds then it would be fire
Ik I'm late, but this just isn't rap. It's more like an experimental, shoegaze, singer/songwriter song. And the single that came out yesterday "Tell me a Joke" is in a similar vein. The rest of the album will follow this trend. Its not hiphop, its not rap.
Cmon bro, don’t ever compare to Joji man…this Quadeca dude sounds unique and interesting but let’s be real here…Joji is on a while different level and it’s not even close !!! 🤦♂️
Artistically Quadeca is on another level. Joji doesn't have any tracks with the concept, production and writing that this track has. I am a huge fan of Joji and he is on another level in terms of success. Not even close. But in terms of creativity and experimentation, as well as producing his own music, Quadeca takes it.
It's about him dying and his mom struggling to cope with him passing away.
Did he say that? I legit thought it was about he's mom dying

wonderful video, wonderufl meaning, lyrics but i dont like his atmosphere, voice and music/rap as much. thats not my type
It's hard to believe this is the same guy that dissed KSI. This ish is super 🔥 Quadeca does all the producing and the directing. Phenomenal
Great reaction! Quadeca produces his own music, and videos to! Which makes it even more impressive!
He produces, writes, directs, basically everything pertaining his music. This album gonna be purely produced and mixed by him 💯
I'm so happy that you're on him already! He is truly becoming an auteur in his art, and he's one to look out for
At 3:27 you can hear quadecas’ mom saying “where are you”
IM SO HAPPY YOU REACTED TO THIS!!!

Finally you reacted to Quadeca, OMG. Hope you're doing alright Ernest, miss hanging out with ya on Twitch. Been busy with the final yr of college. 😥
Got me crying love it thanku so much incredible reaction loved the experience with you much love an God bless always from Cyprus x
he's from the silicon valley in the bay area and on this new album he did 100% of beats. He also directs most of his music videos.
he’s a genre blender. This album got potential for greatness
Joji x quadeca song is my dream
This track is crazy though with the instrumentals
This track is a banger! Idmthy is going to be such a good album but if you haven’t check fmyt you should cause that album is unique and really good all the way through the last song
He is not a rapper anymore bro. Even FMTY is not really a rap album, it just has some rapping on it.
I wouldn’t say he’s not a rapper but he definitely is making his own genre and I love it
This sound like post rap, like an injury reserve, mixed with some shoe face elements.
You need to listen to sisyphus by quadeca
Quadeca deserves all this love!! You also gotta check JID’s Tiny Desk, best performance out rn, live band and JID’s mastery, too good to miss
Someone said Netherlands in chat when he said, "Where are these locations?" lmao, whaaaatttt? 5:25
Ja man dat's Urk, prachtige plek
I literally did a school project on Quadeca today
Damn I see this channel hasn’t really gone anywhere.
He produces and mixes too. He also directed and edited the mv I'm pretty sure. This album is gonna be a 100% self produced!
FIRE FIRE FIRE FIRE FIRE FIRE
Ernest you gotta check out the twenty one pilots mtv unplugged thing they did this year. its nuts.
i was the guy that told you to react to it
From me to you is a must react album!!
yea so quadeca produces his own beats and edits his music vids as welll... he too fire with it

Bro if he reacts to fmty I will lose it

hey please react to the lastest album of Harry Styles
Produced written edited performed by quadeca. Only thing he didn’t do was filming
Bro it's just vocal layering why is everyone saying Joji vibes? No disrespect I love all of you for comparing to Joji he is an amazing artist but Quadeca and Joji are two different artists with different styles
The comparison is the fact that they both started on RUclips and have branched further than the platform. It’s got nothing to do with their music.
Dumb comparison.
@@mocapcow2933 honestly isn’t dumb at all lol
@@TheThirdErnest would you call DDG the joji of rap too?
That title is lame quadeca is quadeca and joji is joji let them be
Fr, they definitely have similarities because they’re both great artist with a RUclips background but comparing one as less than the other is dumb.
I’m talking about the fact that they both got past the RUclips artist stigma. They are the only two.
@@TheThirdErnest ddg? Is ddg also the joji of rap?
nah, quad is the quad of rap!

joji has super bland production and his songs and albums don't have direction. this track blows glimpse of us out of the fucking water...

don't wanna hear this compared to joji bruh
