Sam and Tom just gave a how to masterclass on jackling vs all blacks
His head-on tackling is interesting. Rather than going full bore to start with, it looks like he uses the other player's momentum and only then drives him backwards. So he stops him and then drives him back, almost in two movements, rather than one full on impact. Looks mightily effective.

I love his timing in contact, seems to have complete awareness of the other player going into the tackle, almost always goes lower
I agree. There is a rythem to his tackles as he splits them down into into separate parts very deliberately and executes each part. He backs himself on every contact. He will also have a psychological effect on the opposition as you'll know if you've been hit by him. (Neil Back was like this).
What a player! You can do it against the ABs. Go get 'em Sam!
He did. He was one of 3 to get 10/10 grade after the match. Some of the hits he put in! And on massive dudes. Great player.

Mr Underhill is an automaton programmed to hit humans as hard as possible without infringing RU law,
watch him as he smashes world renowned players and then when some others may gloat over that particular hit he just simply shows a cold shark eye, no celebrations, not even a well deserved self satisfied grin or a pat on the head , just back to his spot and ready for the next sucker.
The epitome of how in my own personal view a hit should be made: Emotionless and as brutal as possible within the bounds of the law.
The AB's should be concerned and of course they are, they're very obviously far from stupid, but with such a boy what will they do to contain him?
How will that concern detract from other parts of their game?
Are they concerned?
