Pablo Matera and Kieran Read were both adjusting to catch the ball but Du Toit was on the charge and he got hammered in the tackle, you just see his head ping pong on impact. It’s never a macho chest/shoulder high tackle with him either it’s always on the waist or below. I think had the first tackle in this clip on Mackenzie been against a lot of other tacklers then Mackenzie dipping would have resulted in the tackle contacting the head and getting sent off.

There isn't this big gap in the skill and style of play like there was 10 years ago. The world cup was a good example of this.

SA just targeted our weaknesses we had for a long time and were brilliant. We picked a team and system that played into their hands. I think the NZ game took too much out of our guys in the end. Like my SA friends all tell me, England won the WC for SA by beating NZ because they couldn't of done. England fielded the youngest ever team to feature in a WC final. It hurts to lose but the best team won hands down. We'll be back.
