- I must say that the New York Knicks did indeed go away from Bill Cartwright in this one as he picked up an easy nine points to start the game. However, it's not like Ray Williams (38), Toby Knight (27) or Micheal Ray Richardson (25) were less efficient. One ball for a whole lot of great offensive players. March 16, 1980.
Cartwright looked to be in his 40's, when he was in his 20's!
LOL I was just gonna say, he looks identical to his Bulls days...this dude never aged, he just looked like he was 40 at 20 and stayed that way ahaha
The magic of a beard.
People looked older than they were back then.
Facts him and James Edwards look like they was 52 years old in 1991 battling against each other in the ECF - guys were just more mature back then (how they looked, spoked, and how they played) - the nba used to be a GROWN MAN LEAGUE not full of crybabies like it is now
As a boy, I liked how he played. Some of his moves were smooth, not Jamal Wilkes smooth, but big-man smooth. The way he shot free throws was unique.
His first two years he avg 20
T00 True, and he was even An All-Star one of those 2 years too.
Cartwright and Cleamons eventually worked together in Chicago
Averaged more ppg than Lebron in his rookie season
So he didnt always shoot like that! I always wondered why his shot was so odd
Feet went bad
injuries and age
His Free Throw shooting form wasn't awkward on here like it was when he was in Chicago.
Before he became InvisiBill
What you mean?
@@TEAMRONALDO1 Sports reporters gave him that name because he just stopped putting forth any effort.
Bryan D That’s sad because I always admired Bill Cartwright after hearing about his speech to Scottie Pippen when he refused to go in against the Knicks because he wasn’t given the final shot in the 1994 playoffs
Or MedicalBill as MJ called um lol
Cartwright scored his future number
Lmao that flop by Elvin hayes was wild
it's too bad he broke his foot twice. Was never the same afterwards.
He actually had four stress fractures of the 5th metatarsal bone. He lost two years, two years of his prime. Interestingly enough his final year in New York neither he nor Patrick Ewing missed a game.
He was part of the "New" NY Knicks campaign.
