- Join us as we head to what is one of our favourite campsites in the UK, Lincoln Farm Park in Standlake near Oxford. We often use this campsite as a stop off on the way down to Wales to visit Steve’s family.

Our family have been roaming around the UK, Europe and US since 2007. We set off on each trip with only a rough destination in mind, allowing the roads we take and places we stop to evolve as we meet new friends along the way.

Campsite looks amazing. Good to hear that Swift are acknowledging a slight issue and working with yourselves to overcome this. Nothing better than individual experience and feedback to provide a excellent solution.

It seems to be a problem that motorhome manufacturers put the outlets so low on the vans ,we have a sonic and thankfully the drain offs are high enough ,most manufacturers need to rethink about it it’s not the best start to getting away .

Enjoyed the video that camp site looked really nice the swimming pool looked nice as well nice to see it was for families and children all played
Stayed here a couple of times, watched my beloved west ham win a play off game in a lovely pub in witney. Used the pool, lovely site and great memories. Sadly one of my best mates was there with his family and no longer with us, still makes me smile, great memories👍👍

That was a lovely campsite, especially for families. It’s a shame about your outlet pipe and kitchen unit handle but I love that you keep it in perspective and enjoy your holiday. Thanks for sharing.

We loved Lincoln Farm as caravanners when the kids were small. Ideal base for Oxford and the Cotswolds.
Great video. We love this site. We started going there 24 years ago. The ambience is fantastic, It's so relaxing. The last time we went, there was 3 inches of snow.
The Black Horse near the entrance is a lovely pub, but it's pitch black at night on the way back. You can wander into someone's garden if you're not careful, just like our wive's did.

We have a Carado. This was a deliberately choice when be bought it due to it's high ground clearance. Important for ferrys as well as verges and other obstacles. Many of our motorhome priorities were nothing to do with aesthetics but really to do with practicalities.

Some tag axle vans when you run with full water tanks and passengers will put the front axle over weight so you drop the water to stay legal…

So sorry to see your bad luck again my heart goes out to you, we pulled our rear bumper off at Tesco petrol station the same day we had the leveling system installed, we've now decided to get the AL-KO Semi Air Suspension for Tag Axle installed to give us a few extra inches this is our second tag axle and never had any problems bottoming out for some reason the design on tags seems to be lower so adding the extra weight of the leveling system for some reason dropped us just enough to bottom out wouldn't think 30kg would make the difference on a 6t motorhome fingers crossed this will be the last time you bottom out

We are currently working with Swift to find a solution for the problems we’ve been experiencing.
Route the outlet closer to the axle rather than the central point. Should give more clearance.
I find it amazing that you’re having to do the testing in real life for a major manufacturer which should have covered these issues in pre production .
I also worry about your mains power feed located below the exhaust of the heater…. I wouldn’t be so light hearted if it was my van

Hi there just a little tip I don't recommend you put sucker hooks in the shower on the plastic walls as it tends to leave a ring which will not come off or out you're better off getting some s hooks to hang it from from the overhead towel rail. It must be about 10 years since I went to that site nothing seems to have change match hello the giant chess set seem to have

These long vans are very low, I have grazed and kissed bumps plenty times! Lucky for me it’s the exhaust that takes the punishment, a welding and back on track. Just sounds like a Sherman tank when driving!

Took my new motorhome out and went to Scotland over the weekend and got a flat tyer and then broke the microwave lol but except from that it was amazing ,ps keep up the great videos and how do I get a sticker for my van door lol ..

Hi, that water outlet is ridiculous for a long wheelbase, Swift should repair & reroute if they have any savvy. Also, do something re the lock that gets broken seemingly on a very regular basis. Stay safe all.

Hi, it’s a really bad design by swift. It happened on our 599 I would remove them and fit a manual drain off.

Surely manufacturers field test new products for a fair while in all conditions. Not good if you can't get off a fairly flat driveway.. 🤔 One thing I have noticed with a lot of the newer motorhomes is that they sit very low on the front end compared to the equivalent standard van. Yours looks very low at the front..... Im sure Broad Lane will sort out their best customer 😉

Easy Fix with that Quick View
Drill a Hole through that Chassis Member Above it ,Put a Grommet in the Hole , ReRoute the Outlet through the Hole, With Right Angle Plastic Elbow on the End Facing Downards
Or let the Dealer Do it. You Shouldnt by Rights Have to Make Good a Design Fault.

My Adria caravan had a metal bracket fitted to the bottom. Maybe something bigger than your water bracket would take the brunt instead of the water????

Really bad design that, , our tap for drainage folds up under chassis, but it is an older van, hopefully you will get it sorted, it obviously needs a modification of some sort, hope swift help you out with it, anyway enjoy your time away. 👍

Hi, you seem to be having problem after problem, it is making me nervous😳😂, I have nearly a year to wait for my 874 Grand Prix, is it worth the wait? I keep looking now at other newer 2nd hand twin axial vans 😟
These are all issues that will be worked out before the vans go in to production! We are working closely with Swift. The new vans are amazing!
i'm surprised, they haven't raised their vans suspension. MK has so many speed bumps on the estates, it could be worth it.
I suggested air assisted suspension on the rear as it is so heavily laden with all their gear plus the extra batteries

Watching camping in the United Kingdom.Boy everyone should try camping in NZ.We don't have continuous entertainment.Kiwi's like exploring their own country and most go fishing.Also they don't hire huge staff either.Our motorcamps are not crowded.
We have that it in the UK too. It’s great to have a mix of campsites with facilities and things to do with the kids, whilst also enjoying wild camping with nature too.
Are ypu consernd about going long distance in this van as have problems with water pipes and. Otber thing do you worrie about taking it abroad and it being reliable

That water outlet is a bad design feature , I’m a bit surprised that the manufacturer has actually designed it like that . The manufacturer should address the problem and sort your one as a priority. Not a good advert for the manufacturer, especially as you have shown the problem to your subscribers. Good luck I do hope they sort it for you

poor design they should have put the water pipe inside or closer to the frame and just have the spout on the outside out don't forget you also have speed bumps to deal with

Why don't you get the children to wash up?
Like I put in a previous comment, you’ll have to move the valve, it’s in a stupid place and very vulnerable to the slightest undulation in the ground. Whoever designed it like that didn’t think it through, they put it right in the middle of the wheel base. Just get the drain pipe run along the chassis and put the outlet near the rear wheel that way it’ll clear the ground no problem.

You should know better than to fill your water tank prior to travelling. For this very reason also not to carry all that wieght which affects mpg.
You may well just go to campsites where you can fill up your water, but we usually travel with a full tank of water as we often wild camp and don’t usually know where we’ll be stopping so we always have options, and we find a full tank of water has a minimum impact on our MPG.
