Once interacted with the interceptor, it'll first guide you to the big crystals to get 3 radiant shard (if you don't already havem), you will also need the advanced mining laser to mine them, which from the guide you are setup to craft in your multi tool. After shards it'll guide you to dissonant resonators, these can drop either inverted mirrors or echo locators, so you need to destroy them until you get an inverted mirror After that, click on the brain in your inventory from the ship and go to the monolith it marks, I teract with that to change the brain then go back to ship to fix it
At the end, you mention having the desired ship and MT selected to take back. I haven’t “completed” one yet, because I was waiting on last optional, and couldn’t play much last night. Does this mean that after you return to your original save, you can extract the ship and MT from expedition (much like you can take a copy in)? Because I found a very nice looking interceptor I’d like to keep, and I foolishly expanded both ship and MT during expedition. Love the speed run tips, I will definitely run through my other saves with this!
Yes, you can copy the active ship or MT after you have fully ended it, though I would advise transfering the photonic core from the starborn runner you got to the interceptor, return to primary save, then make the copy, then go back to the expedition save to take the photonic core to bring back as a packaged version. The copying takes a snapshot, so can basically double the special piece of tech allowing you have have an extra one for a future ship
@@XainesWorld Excellent! I just walked through it on one of my expedition completions. the problem I'm going to have with the other one is that I copied both a MT and a ship into the expedition (unnecessarily, as I've discovered while doing it), and you can only copy once. Also, no expedition rewards award it either so *shrug* Also, some parts don't make sense. Early on you give a materials list and say this is all you need. But that isn't correct. I definitely have needed more ferite dust than what was shown in your first picture early on. On top of that, you say on planet Nash after building the base to refine 632 ferrite dust and then to refine the 392 pure ferrite that it gives you. THAT IS WRONG. If you refine 632 Ferrite Dust you end up with only 316 pure ferrite and NOT 392 that you say to refine afterwards. Sorry but your resource lists are all over the place. Good guide otherwise. You might have gone wrong somewhere. It worked fine for me. Where Xaine didn’t explain too well is exactly where you claim the rewards, if you don’t do this you don’t get access to the blueprints at the right point. Sometimes you have to focus/pin the particular step of the expedition otherwise it might not trigger. I was going insane until I checked through as I didn’t have access to the hermetic seal blueprint, but I’d done the necessary. It was just slow in catching up.
So you are admitting he didn't explain it well then? Thanks for proving my point. But yes I have been claiming everything and doing this in order. I've been following step by step. I had to farm more resources than what was actually listed. It's not that big of a deal but some others might have more trouble and I was voicing for them. @@jackochainsaw
Hey Chris, ferrite dust refines to pure ferrite at 1:1 so 632 gives 632, you were to take 392 of that to refine further into magnetised ferrite which refines at 1:2. I'm pretty confident in the resource list having meticulously recorded every use of resource for the run in a spreadsheet and worked back from there and ran it using these numbers twice myself, one of which was streamed. However, I'm certainly open to being wrong, but would prefer to be told how exactly, so I can investigate and provide a solution in the pinned comment or something, but I understand if you saw you were short on something you likely just went and picked it up as opposed to recording it.
Nope, his calculations are correct for how he presents the run - the reward collections are important to get as a lot of them give you materials that you need later.
Incase anyone else comes here. I believe the issue is when it's stated to "refine" a number, thats how many you put in the left slot, not how many you process on the right. That may be where the discrepancy is happening for some.

Edit: I do want to point out I was wrong on the Base Teleporter. You do get it for completing Scavenger. It's listed as "Decorative Base Parts" so apologies.

😘Thanks a bunch, sweet cheeks o7
It didn't let me interact with the atlas
Just do the duplication glitch
