Adirondack Summer, S6E3: Better Late Than Never (4k)

You just never know what's going to happen. The boat launch was way late for a bunch of reasons, tornadoes swept past us, huge swaths of trees in the Adirondack Park were mowed down, Jack the Giant Killer could climb my deck tomato plants, and I do battle with not one but two menacing hornet nests. Phew....I need a nap now. Filmed in Lake George NY during the summer of 2024 in glorious 4k.

According to exterminators who make RUclips videos for underground nests, a mixture of water and Dawn will kill them. A half cup in a 5 gallon pail of water. Of course, you have to get the water into the hole. I saw people rig up simple hand pumping mechanisms so that they could be a safer distance away. I don’t know if I saw a numerical estmate of how many met their demise after one application, but it seemed highly effective.
