I love that you don’t do disclaimers other than reminding people they can skip the video if they don’t vibe with negative reviews. We need more of that!
The main thing I like about T. Kingfisher's books is her writing style, her fun sense of humour and characters. I just vibe with it. But of course, everyone has different experiences with books! The rest of these just sound terrible tbh 🤢
I loved this! I've read 35 books this year. I hated The Teacher by Freida McFadden and was so bored by Into The Water by Paula Hawkins and had to force myself to finish it.
19:40 aw dammit. I was kinda interested in this one when people talked about the synopsis when it was among their anticipated books because of the DID rep. It seemed like a good use of DID in a thriller for once. But I haven't seen any reviews of it this year on BookTube. Sad to hear it's another case of bad rep D: DID can never win in fiction apparently.
Maybe try reading The last house on needless street by Catriona Ward. There's a section on did at the end of the book and what the author learned while writing this book. so she did actually do her homework before writing it. The book itself is very interesting and I finished it during one sleepless night.
OMG I love you and love this video! Reading is always a personal viewpoint. I've loved books others hated and vice versa. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and those who don't want to hear don't have to watch. I haven't read any of these but I thank you for steering me away! And NO--men should not write from female POVs unless they really are aware and empathetic.
I've stopped reading new female writers I haven't read before unless misandry isn't a thing (so Freida books are a no go for me lol). So I understand your stance on male writers that focus on surface beauty on a female main character vs her personality.
Do you have any recommendations for books with schizophrenic main characters that depicts the condition better/more accurately instead of that stalker book?
I liked what moves the dead okay but the sequel I absolutely hated and thought was incredibly boring 🥱 fungus horror could be so much more creepy so it’s disappointing.
“If you’re mad that I hated a book that you liked, go eat a box combo from Raising Cane’s” 💀😂 Also, getting angry over someone’s opinion of a book is WILD.
I DNFd We Came to Welcome You after the first page. I was annoyed by the one chick and felt like the whole book may just be about their relationship.. I skimmed ahead a few chapters to see if/when we would get to the creepy neighborhood stuff and nope... didn't seem interesting in the slightest.

Yes!
Mean girl book rant! Yaaasssss!
i love your rants!! staying away from extreme horror was definitely for the best 💕
Ofc i remember 2022 but what’s the tea from 2023 I missed it even though I watch every single video of hers 😂
The exhausted, disgusted sigh you let out before each book’s rant…😂😂

* removes We Came to Welcome You from tbr pile*
omg I love a Hailey rant 😂
Hunting Annabelle sounds like it would be so good 😩
If you want a lesbians and zombies book, I recommend Hearing Red by Nicole Maser. It's more of a thriller rather than horror
i got about 30 pages into pond and was very lost and confused, it’s on my try again list but i’m not convinced lol!
Love me a good book rant 😂👏👏

I love unhinged hailey... This was hilarious.. Your reflection on some of your classmates made me cackle

Your house is so haunted. What's the deal with that disco ball?

I just finished The Centre. You would love it!!! Please read it and review it, I love your reviews! It's sci fi/horror/feminist etc
😊🏆🏆
🎁Merry Christmas everyone 📚

Love a Hailey rant
These videos are my favorite because I like to be messy and petty 💅.
I’m so early 🎉😊❤🎄
Loved all of these takes. But I must admit that Funny Story by Emily Henry was trash and you can’t convince me otherwise😅
Someone had to say it😂
It's a step or two better then Beach Read by Emily Henry...imho :)
The Z Word was so bad 💀
of course we remember what happened the previous years with your worst books of the year videos🤣😆
Big heavies
