80% ranked winrate in 70 battles, can confirm this thing is op af. Just equip speedboost mod so you get into the cap before the enemy dd and let him push into your radar. Shockingly effective time and time again.
In a very close fight groningen will dish out much more dmg, but at distance you will really struggle to hit even 1/10 of your shots into an enemy DD. Ragnar is much, much more consistent

I love my Ragnar even tho I have Småland! They re different! Some people say that if you have Småland don't get Ragnar! I disagree! Ragnar can tank like hell and still heal back! It's like a Khabarovsk with better consielment and radar! Ragnar have better shell arcs than Småland! Keep in mind that the 30 second base radar that Ragnar bhas is a red card! Any dd come close to you just die! I suggest you, get that Ragnar beast if you can!
This is by far the dumbest addition to the game in a very long time. You angle and you are invincible vs other DD's guns, at least you can hit the superstructure on cruisers, not so much on this ship...
It is very strong but it has many downsides. It's extremely clumsy so you r very vulnerable to torps. If you position yourself poorly you are dead because you don't have smoke to disengage. Also, a clever DD can bait you into using your radar and then force u to retreat. Playing in close spaces is very challenging for Ragnar.
This OP ship for the usual maniacs of the game, the spoiled pros who play all day, is one of the reason WG is not promoting equal engagements but these usual guys pestering the game by gaining OP ships and fucking the game up.This is why WG is a broken game for toxic people.Real dirt here
Well im pretty terrible at this game and i play the ragnar as well. Isnt a "pro ship", is just a ship, anyone can get if you played the game long enough. Hell i might be even worse than you if you can imagine :D

This is my new favourite ship to play. Especially in ranked. More often than not you can quickly murder one or more enemy dd’s early in the match.

Running down and beating enemies with your accurate shells lets you really give those guys a bad day.
Hey maybe I should use concealment expert on the Ragnar for a change. Been only using AFT in a damage farming commander build.

Who has better DPM, Ragnar or Groningen? Also nice of Yoshino guy to shoot any salvo on the enemy Ragnar.....
Groningen has 233k HE dpm, Ragnar has 165k HE dpm.
But with Ragnar you'll be hitting way more shots as the arcs and shell velocity are much better.

Its the horror when a good player is in it, when the normal player and worse operates Ragnar its meh like everything else. As shown in this clip.
