- When Carolina Cyclone originally debuted at Carowinds in March 1980, it was the first roller coaster in the world to feature four inversions. Equipped with a new harness restraint system, and a new paint job, Carolina Cyclone is still a fan-favorite in 2022.
This was my first looping coaster! This new teal coat of paint was a good choice.

@@tiffanyestelle2228 It's pretty good. The coaster isn't all that smooth, but it feels quick and the layout is nice! I would recommend it.

This was the first coaster i ever rode that had inversions. I remember being absolutely terrified as a kid riding this thing. Looking great though, especially for a 40 year old ride.

I absolutely love this coaster. I rode this one for the first time today. This was also my first looping coaster. I was absolutely terrified while going up the hill. But I ended up riding it again! It’s very very fun. And also a super smooth ride.
Love the new teal color and the paint schemes on the trains!! Great new look for a classic coaster!!
I started singing fall faire suite from RTC on this ride my last visit. It was fun. Even if i only rode it once

@@swiftly_urmom Apparently it's a book about some kids from Canada riding a roller coaster called "The Cyclone" though it's a completely different one from this. And they die, I guess. I don't know if it's a true story or what.

Very surprising to hear that the ride is super short and pretty painful
@@someonejust5062 it's gotten worse cause it uses Vortex trains from KI so it tracks worse because of the bigger wheel gap they have
i thought this coaster would be scary, but honestly it’s not at all. super short ride but also fun! especially because there’s barely ever a line even on the busiest days in the summer!!

This is the most rollercoaster of rollercoasters I've ever seen
Rode it in 2022 at Scarowinds, the harness kept locking down tighter and tighter. When the ride ended it was so tight I couldn’t hardly breathe. Was about to have a panic attack. Maybe I’m too old and fat 😂

This was my first looping roller coaster and on the loops my head did kind of like go fowards a bit and made my head hurt but I learned that my head wasn't on the seat very good so it was still good, GREAT RIDE 💯💯💯💯
Very fun ride, it has some roughness but worth it honestly

The teal color scheme looks Great, and I also think it's pretty cool that the loops and the Corkscrew elements doesn't have those ugly overhead track arch supports like the Corkscrew at Cedar Point. The Carolina Cyclone has a modern stream line look to it as well as The Canyon Blaster at Adventure Dome, with those very cool looking Arrow Trains. Wish Cedar Point had snatched up The Trains from Drachen Fire. They're so much more comfortable and ride better than the typical Arrow rolling stock Trains.
The drachen fire seats and harnesses are nearly identical to normal arrow trains
@@WCfanboy they are the exact same, infact the drachen fire trains use the same chassis of the other arrow trains
I’m glad I got a ride in on the old yellow and blue paint but I just love the new look

Ride the cyclone
I’m not a fan of coasters with inversions but I would go on this ride again. My first ever inverted coaster was at Disney World. I love this ride a lot even tho I went on it once.

The smaller Arrow loopers, like this classic, aged so much better than the big loopers.

This is truly an underrated Arrow coaster. Just stay away from the front row and you should have a great time! (Middle or back rows)
The loops gave me whiplash, not sure how anyone could like this coaster

am i the only one that sees the goldrusher carts near the end and also this ride aged very well unlike the goldrusher and thunder road

@@mitchellries256 I've never been on an Arrow looper too, because there aren't alot of arrow loopers in Europe. We have alot more Vekoma loopers here
This is exactly the same layout as that from the iconic coaster python in the Efteling Netherlands, that's older.
Went on this, felt like I had to ask the Lord if this is how I die Lord why be left with no family and no friends 😕

I’ll admit, while the new color scheme looks great, it feels too similar to other rides like Flying Cobras or Fury. Still, looks better than ever!

I rode this thing again today and that ride was the last straw! Carowinds, I love you but this ride needs to be dismantled and replaced. My head got banged against the headrest at least 5 times and I will not be riding this coaster ever again.

I rid this roller coaster in real life
This coaster has not aged well. While the new paint job is nice the coaster itself has gotten rough with time. I rode it back in August 2022 and my head was banging against the head rest and the ride was very rough. So I won't be riding this coaster ever again

I hate this couster i flet like i got shot in the head each loop it flet like i got hit in the with a baseball and it was to tite take down this ride even gold ruch wich did not have loops it still was beter

This piece of crap roller coaster outlived its fun at least 20 years ago, if not longer, and needs to be scrapped.
