I know Im randomly asking but does someone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb lost my account password. I would love any tricks you can give me
I know you may not even see this message, but I am cooking this recipe tonight! I also added t-tiny eggplants to cook with the meat! I know it will be delicious. It already smells wonderful as it is cooking. Thank you for this wonderful, simple, easy recipe!
This looks delicious. I don't like gadgets in the kitchen, but you're tempting me with these instant pot recipes. If kids are at the potluck, Macaroni & Cheese; if not Chicken Caesar salad & always dessert.
I wonder sometimes too! I know that the girls aren't always nice to each other. I am a sibling too! I'll bet that they all grow up to be super cooks! Can you imagine 30 years from now (I'll never live to see it) at the holidays? If they all have families and maybe one or two kids each how many people could be in the house at one time!
I just tried this again. This time, I used local Philippine beef short ribs. I had to adjust the pressure cook time to 50 mins with 25mins natural release to get the same output. Really really great! Thank you thank you again!
The short ribs are looking so delicious and Dude must have enjoyed it so much when taste tested. I have eaten short ribs and loved them, but have not cooked any myself. I last used my Instant Pot to cook baby back ribs and they was as tasty as the ones cooked on my grill outside.
Up until now my favorite offering at a potluck has been oven roasted broccoli with olive oil, salt and a sprinkle of garlic powder...think I will be looking for a new one to do in my IP ! Thanks, Flo....
Here from indigo nili. Love how simple your recipe ingredients are - no running everywhere in a rural area trying to find an obscure spice. You guys are so fun! I have all ingredients on hand - big shock - so will be trying tonight - thanks so much for the recipe! I usually bring IP cheesy hash brown casserole to a potluck.
Flo! This was absolutely fantastic! I halved your recipe for my 3-qt. & used ground ginger. (I never know what to do with ginger root, so don't keep it 😂 Wasn't sure how to convert, so just used a tsp of powder.)Oh. My. Gosh. DELISH & so easy. Oh, & I broiled the shorts a bit after with CrispLid because one must play with new toys. Wow, though. Short ribs are really getting pricey. Is there another cut of beef you would recommend for this recipe? I also never buy boneless meat. If recipe calls for boneless, I cut it out, but chunk it in the pot liquid for flavor. Thanks again for a keeper recipe!
OsakaRose, I thought I had shorts in freezer, but instead country ribs. I was all ready to make, so just ran to the grocery. $8+ for 4 short ribs! 😱! Goodness gracious! but Flo's recipe was fantastic!
Great recipe. I will definitely try it. My favourite dish to take to a pot luck is slow cooker sausage in a great sauce of tomatoes, onion, mushrooms, garlic, and Italian seasonings. I add a small tin of tomato paste at the very end to thicken the sauce. I have never had any left to bring home. :-)
I've been watching a lot of your Instant Pot videos and this is another winner. I just did a potluck today and made a chicken noodle casserole in my Instant Pot that came out very good. It was kind of my own creation and it's a keeper.
Whenever we are invited to a pot-luck I am asked to make homemade bread (either French baguettes or yeast rolls which are my nephew's favorite). But your dish sounds way better :)
I, too, have been a big fan of Nili for about a year and a half or so and think of her and her husband as bionic parents! So much to do in their lives!!! I've also been following you for a time and I forget what I made of yours recently but I sometime want to make short ribs but using the boneless ones because I don't like messing with bones in my meat! Some would call me whatever, but I always use the big jar of minced garlic. Much easier! I think I'll have to wait a bit before I make this, because I now have a dental issue that makes me eat soft and I'm trying to last until January when my dental insurance kicks back in! My very best to you and Dude, and I also like The Taste! Take care!
For potluck I am usually the dessert person :D. Otherwise, I would do a chicken spaghetti or a revved up con queso dip. The short ribs would go great over rice or noodles. Thanks for sharing. I also love how DUDE wisely chose not to comment on you being right about the "thumb size" being 1 ounce.
I started following Nili at the exact same I started following you. Too cool!! Great idea too! Maybe I'll find another foodie to follow as well. Win, win and win. Can't beat that!
We just had a pot luck at work yesterday. I made japanese curry and no one tried it. They had no idea how good it was. Their loss my gain I guess because it was wonderful!!!
I bet that sauce would be awesome on a nice hot bowl of rice!! yummy.. Potluck, I always make Julia Child's Boeuf Bourguignon served with some creamy polenta.. It's one of those dishes that people think you slaved for hours over, when in reality, most is done in the oven on its own..
I made this tonight, and it was delicious. My grocery only had boneless short ribs, and they turned out fork tender. I used green onions instead of cilantro and it added a nice freshness and bite. My only problem was the cornstarch seized up after I added it to the hot liquid, so next time I will temper the slurry with a little bit of the hot sauce before adding it in. I have a ton of that yummy gravy left over, so am thinking about re-purposing it as a sauce for tofu or chicken. Thank you for a great recipe, I will definitely make it again!
I made this tonight as well. (Just got the pot for my birthday, so had to use it)Had rib finger meat. Cooked on manual for 25 minutes natural release for 10. Because I had 1.8kg of meat I doubled the sauce recipe. It was too thin even after adding a slurry. Next time I will double the solid ingredients and only 1 1/2 the liquid. Served with rice toasted sesame seeds and green onion. My family LOVED it. Flo you and Dude have a great channel 😊 keep up the awesome work ! 🇨🇦
Made these again OMgosh!! I accidentally put in 1 cup of soy sauce. Didn't want to redo it. Tasted fine!! Thanks for sharing your awesome cooking skills Flo. You and Dude are the bomb!
Hello from Australian 👋🏼 I didn’t catch what setting you put your Insta pot to when you started cooking the ribs for 35 minutes was it pressure cook ? Or meat stew ? My Insta pot is different to yours
Looks yummy, Flo! However, I'm shocked! I didn't see your chopsticks ... not once! I don't think I've ever seen a video without you using your signature utensils! 😂 👍👍
As for pot luck. I brought carrots, with brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon. Didn't even cook it until I got there since it takes a total of 20 minutes in the pressure cooker.
Last potluck I went to I brought a salad bowl filled with pork fried wantons with a soy/garlic siracha dipping sauce. It may have caused a few other dishes to get neglected xD
I am a total cheater when it comes to potlucks. I make up a batch of Pilsbury crescent rolls from the tube LOL but I put shredded cheese and parsley flakes on top before they go into the oven so they look fancy. It's good for taking to potlucks because they can be room temp.
Flo, can you tell me why the ribs in most Chinese restaurants have a “red” color and are sticky? Those are my most favorite ribs of all! That said yours are delicious too! Thanks!
Last time i sent to a potluck i took 40 cloves garlic chicken cooked in the Romertoff clay baker. It looked lovely on the table and the whole chicken was gobbled up. Im making short ribs tonight but not your recipe. I hadn’t found yours, ill do it next week. Im wondering, doesn’t the mayaird reaction happen at the high pressure so we would not need to sear beef to add flavor. Guess i need to check out that science.
Make sure to check out all the other videos in the Instant Pot (Virtual) Holiday Potluck playlist! Happy Sunday!
Never imagined you could just scrape the skin off the ginger. I'd always whittled it away, thanks!.
Carbage Man that’s what I was thinking too!
I know Im randomly asking but does someone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..?
I was dumb lost my account password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@Ralph Arjun instablaster ;)
Yummy, another great recipe. Going to try this one for sure. Thank you...Dude, your one lucky fella. Kathy...
I know you may not even see this message, but I am cooking this recipe tonight! I also added t-tiny eggplants to cook with the meat! I know it will be delicious. It already smells wonderful as it is cooking. Thank you for this wonderful, simple, easy recipe!
Another delightful simple recipe with all ingredients I have on hand. I liked how you use the measuring cup to smash the garlic ! 😄
I rarely ever comment on a post, but this recipe turned out amazing. The sauce over rice 🥰. I added a little more ginger.
I truly loved your video, I shared it to my brother who cooks in this wonderful pot. Thank you so much for your delicious recipe
Thanks so much for another simple, ordinary yet extraordinary and joyful recipe.
This was delicious! Made it yesterday..BF could hardly wait for us to cook it!
This looks delicious. I don't like gadgets in the kitchen, but you're tempting me with these instant pot recipes.
If kids are at the potluck, Macaroni & Cheese; if not Chicken Caesar salad & always dessert.
Been a fan of nili for years ...I call her super mum ,how the heck she gets through the day beats me ?
Thank you flo as ever 👍💓
I wonder sometimes too! I know that the girls aren't always nice to each other. I am a sibling too! I'll bet that they all grow up to be super cooks! Can you imagine 30 years from now (I'll never live to see it) at the holidays? If they all have families and maybe one or two kids each how many people could be in the house at one time!
Actually, you, Nili, and Pressure Luck were always my fav IP cooks!
Looks delicious...As always, thanks for the recipe and the video...
I just tried this now... SUPERB! Thank you very much for sharing!
I just tried this again. This time, I used local Philippine beef short ribs. I had to adjust the pressure cook time to 50 mins with 25mins natural release to get the same output. Really really great! Thank you thank you again!
This looks sooo good! I'm doing this recipe right now and can't wait! Thanks!
The short ribs are looking so delicious and Dude must have enjoyed it so much when taste tested. I have eaten short ribs and loved them, but have not cooked any myself. I last used my Instant Pot to cook baby back ribs and they was as tasty as the ones cooked on my grill outside.
Howzit, Flo 🤙

Up until now my favorite offering at a potluck has been oven roasted broccoli with olive oil, salt and a sprinkle of garlic powder...think I will be looking for a new one to do in my IP ! Thanks, Flo....
I will be having ribs and potato salad for Christmas. It is only me and my fur baby Zullie Mae. And have been wanting ribs for a long time. 😘😇🤗
Sounds like the perfect way to spend the holiday!

I love the video and can't wait to make this recipe. I bring King Ranch Casserole when I need to bring a dish.

Another winner 🏆! Teriyaki chicken thighs are what I would bring to the potluck dinner table.
I have never tried short ribs before but this makes me want to try. Thanks.

OsakaRose That happened to me, too! A hard lesson learned 🙁
OMG! This looks soooo yummy!! TFS Flo. God bless
Looks good...nice video

Six Sisters Stuff and Sam the Cooking guy. 2 foodies for you, 1 with Instapot
We just had a pot luck at work yesterday. I made japanese curry and no one tried it. They had no idea how good it was. Their loss my gain I guess because it was wonderful!!!
If you brought it to my potluck, I totally would have gobbled it up!
We made this and it was delicious! A little too sweet for our taste though so next time we won’t add any sugar, the onion should be enough :)
I am so making this!! 😋
I will order your cook book
That looks so good I am going to give it a try did you do a quick release - just ordered your two instant pot book
I made this tonight, and it was delicious. My grocery only had boneless short ribs, and they turned out fork tender. I used green onions instead of cilantro and it added a nice freshness and bite. For my pot luck, I would bring pulled port or pot roast.
Wow I subscribe to Indigo Nili too what a pleasant surprise. I usually bring pot stickers to pot lucks.
Made these again OMgosh!! I accidentally put in 1 cup of soy sauce. Didn't want to redo it. Tasted fine!! Thanks for sharing your awesome cooking skills Flo. You and Dude are the bomb!
Fc cc
i also follow her.. nice.. and this is next on my list for friday night..
🎊
Yummy! I made this recipe from you before, didn't it have an Asian pear in the marinade or sauce, or was that a different recipe?
Looks great!!
Similar but different. 😉
Tfs! 🍋
I am cooking this recipe tonight. Let you know how it turned out.
Yum!
🍋 Thanks, Vanessa!

Which leafy Chinese veg would you recommend?
We like yue choy but gailan is good too.
Here from LemonadeMom!! 🍋🍋🍋🍋
Welcome! 👋🏼
dont have instant pot i use crock pot can i make it in my crock pot ?!
As for pot luck. I brought carrots, with brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon. Didn't even cook it until I got there since it takes a total of 20 minutes in the pressure cooker.
Hi Flo... did you use 1/4 cup of light brown sugar? I can’t wait to make this recipe!
Yes, 1/4 cup brown sugar. 😊 Thanks, Tonya!
Can I substitute the sugar for Swerve?
I always bring potato chips to a potluck, and hope you are there.
🤣
1:09
Nothing to say dude.....would make an awesome MEME video
🤣
Flo 👍👍👍👍😋😋😋😋
"Dude" is sooo lucky
Was that angus beef short ribs?
Last potluck I went to I brought a salad bowl filled with pork fried wantons with a soy/garlic siracha dipping sauce. It may have caused a few other dishes to get neglected xD
Is there a written recipe?
I am a total cheater when it comes to potlucks. I make up a batch of Pilsbury crescent rolls from the tube LOL but I put shredded cheese and parsley flakes on top before they go into the oven so they look fancy. It's good for taking to potlucks because they can be room temp.
That’s awesome! Nothing wrong with upgrading premade! That’s smart! 😉
Hi I’m new subscriber and I want to ask you about instant pot programs.i bout Ip duo 7-1 6 Q instant pot and how can I connect my phone thanks
The IP program is only for the Smart model not the DUO.
Flo, can you tell me why the ribs in most Chinese restaurants have a “red” color and are sticky? Those are my most favorite ribs of all! That said yours are delicious too! Thanks!
Must be the sauce that they use? I think maybe some red fermented soy?
Flo Lum Thank you!
I love any kind of ribs. My potluck is banana pudding.
I usually take a tri colored curly pasta with cauliflower, broccoli, and tomatoes and an Italian dressing on it.
Last time i sent to a potluck i took 40 cloves garlic chicken cooked in the Romertoff clay baker. It looked lovely on the table and the whole chicken was gobbled up. Im making short ribs tonight but not your recipe. I hadn’t found yours, ill do it next week.

Why brown before?
WOW I AM SO HUNGRY NOW!!!!
🍋
Sounds very Canadian
Where is the written recipe?
Is this pork or beef please
What if you don’t have a blender like that. I guess you can just use a shredder
