It gave me chills watching it. What a great track! I still have to dance whenever I hear it. I met Sally Ann Marsh on Oxford street around 1989/90 when she was in a group called Faith Hope & Charity. All 3 of the girls were shopping. I was 21 and thought they were all stunning. Dani Behr was also in the band and there was one other girl. About a year or so later I bumped into Sally Ann Marsh again in a club called The Milk Bar. They played Expansions and she was dancing like crazy and I tried to do the dance her dancers are doing in this video… I failed lol. Our paths never crossed again. Great memories though. I’m glad I was young then, today it’s a completely different ball game.
I'll be 55 years old in a couple months from now, so i've heard a lot of different kinds of music over the decades, During that time, there have been very few tracks that have got me running to the dance floor and they have been mainly from the late 1980s or early 1990s. This is one of those tracks, it's sounds as good today as it did 20 years ago and will still sound good long after I've expired. An Absolute Classic Dance Track !! Many thanks for posting :-)
I absolutely love this song as this brings back some rather good memories for me, as I saw Expansions perform “Move Your Body” in a Nightclub I once went to called Raquels in Essex! Great times 😊
Class song from the 90s , I always remember it when spurs were playing a fa cup match in 91 at half time and this came on, also love it on the movie rise of a footsoldier when he's dancing with the women at the nightclub
Posting from America !! I spun this trek new year, Absolute Legendary Classic i always play this in my set and always will its a Timeless Trek that was musically way ahead of its time. MMM Move Your Body MM Move your Body Hi er Love it. Timelessssssssssssssssssssssss
Dj Posting again from america i comented on this Tune before and agree with all of you brothers its such a Legend of a tune in clubland probably among one the best ever club tunes recorded and it sounds so timeless was ahead of its time when it was released. A classic for now and the future please bring this music back as todays music does not even come close.
@@wingobingo if i wanted to be picky haha was only joking though legendary tune noentheless, interesting to know the girl isnt actually the vocaliust either which i saw another guy say its lizzy henderson or something amazing what you learn after all these years
They didn't come any more simple than this! Guitar/band/songwriter fans would've hated it.... But it was a simple expression of happiness at that time, through the medium of synth and sampled vocal so yes.....'tune' indeed!
Absolute quality for sure its the best dance trek ever made i wish we had music like this again ! it pisses all over today's dance music its a Legendary timeless classic for sure, and im a pro DJ in no. I would buy a ticket to this music for sure absolute claaaaaaass. I just wish Dance music like this would come back.

Here for the same reason! Coventry Eclipse, Amnesia House raver back in the day. 51yr old garden centre cruiser now! Still tempted for e's and trips when I hear the old stuff!😎
I actually taped this episode back in the day so I could master those dance moves for the school disco. I was 10 when this one dropped. 28 years on and I’m thinking of trying again lol
well not really.. top of the pops was just a recorded live performance with lip syncing over the actual song! yes it’s nostalgic but i wouldn’t say i “missed out”
NO ONE! On this video had anything to do with this classic track apart from the keyboard player Richard Goldman 'alias' Richey Malone, Martin Spreakley who wrote it, and doesn't appear here. The real vocalist was Lizzy 'D' Henderson. This girl fronting is 'Sally Ann Marsh' a would be actor, that jumped in at the last minute, because contracts weren't signed as should have been. Gilbo Synchronise Studios. Manager at the time, who got ripped off big time by the record company and his partner.
Haha i remember coming downstairs after a bath session and been in the front room with it on tv. Dreading school in the morning and loving the tune! Wonder what my parents made of it. Sure id be slagging it off if it was out now and im a grumpy old git! Haha
@@davidhealy4534 fair enough, 90/91/92 for me is like one solid chunk of memory 😆 I knew the track was somewhere in there, so I just looked up the date on discogs 🤷♀
Then it wouldn't be 'Old Skool', would it? It would be just called House, Rave or one of the many other genres of Electronic dance music from that era... ;)

probably the most recognised rave tune of the 90s awesome
Love that stone island jacket.
Arguably one of the best dance tracks of the 90s

So Sally Ann Marsh hah... thanx for that info
From a moment there, I thought the "singer" was "Chanel West Coast" from MTV.
How can she jump in last minute when she was in the video promo and relaese too??!!
