Braid and Cinco de Gatos also played this show. The date was June 3 1995. 28 years ago, today. It was the late show started at 11:30pm. Not many people were there. Elastica played the early show and were backstage watching this.
What kills me about these old Cap ‘n Jazz live vids are all this kids just standing there doin’ the standin’ still and not goin off like I am watching ‘em almost 30 years later
I go way back to the beginning of CNJ. Went to high school with everyone except Davey. Their early shows were more lively than this one. I was there. This was the last time I saw them before they split up. There was a vibe that night. The band was red hot but they looked to be in a mood. Same with the audience. They also played at 1am. Very late. We all were paying attention and listening. This was the first time I heard these songs, which was a bit of departure for some of us. So cool to see this up. Brings back memories
I'm pretty sure it was a band from England called Supergrass that headlined. This was like an XRT show and I seem to remember it started early in the afternoon.
I played a hardcore festival in 1995, and capn jazz played right after us. Completely blew us off the stage. 😂

Damn Mike is really solid on these drums and to think he was only around 18 years old
Finally some one gives him the recognition. But ya I thought the same thing.
I've always thought his drumming was really underrated

How did every emo boy in the 90s know how to dance like that
It's crazy to think that years later, the bass player became one of the greatest guitarists I've ever seen.

Were they opening for someone? Was it some kind of showcase?
I have no memory of the rest of the show unfortunately.
@@Newspace1632 All good. Would blow my mind if they were actually headlining that place in '95
Pretty sure Braid also payed, that is Bob, the singer from Braid who comes out in the second song for backup vocals.
those lyrics that he sang were actually ones that he wrote for a song called Auburn in his band Friction that he was in prior to Braid

Wow, so this is what hot liquid garbage straight into the ears sounds like
Wow, if turds could grow arms and fingers and leave youtube comments, this is what they would look like.
What's wrong with it? I'm genuinely curious.

The emotionless found their way to my favorites
My guess would've been the singing.
