Pretty cool! I grew up not too far from there, and was a member of a couple of the FD's that were shown there (Bayview in the late 70's and 177th NJANG in the late 80's - early 90's). Moved away about 30 years ago, and retired a couple of years ago as a career firefighter after 38 years total in the fire service.
Three counties total, with Marmora and Tuckahoe from Cape May County, and Tuckerton from Ocean County. Pretty impressive, considering Cape May County is south of Atlantic County, and this fire was almost as far north in Atlantic County as you can get.
Man seeing lots of departments I am very familiar with in this one. Was born in Pomona (Galloway Twp) still have my aunt and uncle who live in Galloway. Pretty cool seeing AC International Airport FR on scene.
Cop cars need to move and keep roadway, both lanes open and clear. Nice, 2 lane roadway reduced to one with heavy apparatus traffic and he just stands there. Hated traffic control by LE. 18 cars for one intersection.
So originally it came in as a propane tank on fire but it was determined they cleaning out an old gas tank and there still fuel residue in it and a spark made contact with the tank and ignited
Yes the airport was a few miles away from the fire and the fire was so intense that they needed higher water pressure . It was a massive junkyard fire with propane tanks involved
I was an USAF firefighter...it was probably more to do with having foam capability, and not water pressure. The dark smoke indicates a petroleum fueled fire (tires, etc, common in a junk yard), and also indicated by Somers Point showing up with a trailer that had two large tanks of foam concentrate.
The reason 24-1 was called was for their foam crash truck which is shown on the video. A lot of the area foam units called from SP for their foam trailer along with 18-3's foam trailer.
Finally! You know I have been waiting for this one, the AC Airport hazmat was awesome, epic video bud
I was supposed to post this from last week Friday, I’ve been a busy man
Oh and thank you

That’s good to know, I did not know that, I’m from North Jersey Bergen county so I wouldn’t know! Thank you
Also Burlington County. Had New Gretna, Lower Bank, and Green Bank there
Cool that there was an ARFF apparatus on scene.

Lots of tenders. Was the junkyard far from any hydrants?
Rare sight at 9:40 trooper smiling 🤣
Nice video. But how close is the fire to the airport?
About 10 min
Where did they stage the foodie trucks??? 😉
Move the police car tf you see them trying to get through
I said the same thing
@@NestorLewis me too they had to go in the grass to get around it looked like
The reason why the police car is there to keep the traffic out
Nice catch!!! Are you not based in Bergen County anymore?
I’m all over now
great catches
They brought a airport truck out for it??
How many units do you need
Why are cops always in the way?
That’s what I was saying, move out the way so the firetrucks can go through
What actually happened?
Junkyard in the back caught fire
So originally it came in as a propane tank on fire but it was determined they cleaning out an old gas tank and there still fuel residue in it and a spark made contact with the tank and ignited
It’s not a party until the hazmat bread truck and the boo-boo bus shows up.
Ha when you have a propane tank fire in a junkyard call the ARFF truck to extinguish it now that is called thinking outside the box
Wair is this fire at?
Not a big fire at all. Little 2.5lb fire extinguisher 🧯 got that in the bag . Lol good work on the vid and everyone on scene
Why did they had a airport fire truck at the junkyard fire?????😕😕😕😕😕😕 Was it close to the airport or 🚫????😕😕😕😕

@@NestorLewis ok thanks 4 the info.
