That Blue model looks great. I love the clear pickguard and roasted maple neck. She really sounds like a very versatile guitar. Steve as usual you really demo this guitar & bring out the best in her. Keep Rocking, Signed John ( Zepbass) Gregory from Munster Indiana. Bass Player.
The guitar sounds so powerful and authentic, At the moment I can't even afford food but I ensure my dog is fed every day. I am now down to a crappy acoustic that really hurts my hands to play it for more than 10-15 mins. Pls God change my circumstances because I crave a good electric guitar.
Do the same thing you did to afford the phone you use to watch RUclips and save up if you can.
Vola making these high quality instruments in Japan at the price point they do is awesome. Makes me never want to buy a new Epiphone again.
Unless you want a LesPaul custom in antique silverburst and don't wanna take out a second mortgage on your home. Then $1299 seems very reasonable doesn't it? Is Vola making one for less? Didn't think so.
@@andrewbecker3700 It’s a good thing I don’t want that very specific guitar. I’d never pay 1300 for an Epiphone Les Paul, regardless of the finish.
Holy Moly that's awesome 🔥
i just bought one with the psychadelic colored top. it is a fantastic guitar and puts my strat to shame. i love mine. the pickups and tones are excellent.
Seems to be a great value for MIJ guitars with features including stainless steel frets.
I really want one, but man is it Bright sounding. I’m guessing you can tame it with the tone controls and amp eq
You can, I have one. Not this one but I thought the same in the demo and it's very tameable
These seem to be pretty epic.
Hell yes!!! Very nice. 👍
The OZ RV TNC.
RV = reverse headstock
TNC = Trans Nitrocellulose
What a work of art!
Looks like a Jake E Lee configuration with the back slanted single coils.
I like the contoured back of the body....🤘
TNC= Tuna Noodle Casserole
I know you coughed something but all i heard was evh
And evh doesn't say where in japan their guitars are made
$1300.00 + S&H
All pick guards should be clear. Or, better yet. Leave the pick guard off the guitars. Keep plastic in the ocean. Not on my guitars.
Yo, Steve! Was maybe contemplating trading to newer charvels for one of these at a local dealer…worth it you think? The quality is obviously a level above.
If you slap an "always on" toggle on your strat neck pickup, with a normal 5 way switch... you get everything but a coil tap on the bridge.
Who really wants anything but a hot humbucker in the bridge anyway?
A stacked single coil or paf soapbar back there does the trick.
Just an observation. Not a criticism.
Super strats are the bomb.
Great video! Liked how you explained the electronics... can't wait to try this guitar lol
Give us a HARDTAIL VERSION please! I will buy one.. Not all of us want a wammy that won't stay in tune. Not an Evertune either. Just a good ole hardtail in HH HSH or HSS and no useless tapping splitting push pull pots either. Simplified and cheaper to make and will sound better. Switch out all the gimmickry for some name brand PU'S and you will sell more guitars.
If the headstock had the same look at the body .. it would make it chefs kiss perfect. Otherwise looks nice !! :)
I'm thinking about selling my PRS S2 to get one of these. Great deal for a MIJ guitar with such great features.
@SFB Excellent review (and playing)! Liked it so much, I just ordered the Blue one-Can’t wait.
The coughing did its job a little too well for me -- I totally blanked on the brands I was supposed to pick up on. But I'm not a fan of pointy guitars so the issue may be that my language skills aren't up to snuff. Because pointy guitar people really do all seem to be from another country. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
It’s not chambered… it’s weight relieved which is different
Not sure if you ever reviewed / played any of the Sire guitars? If so, what’s your opinion?
Nice guitar, but I don't like the headstock color.
Im close to ordering it but the majority of the comments are positive but theres a few negative comments on other videos im torn 😕
How‘s the neck pickup in split mode? Can sou get an actual strat-like tone or has it the same problem as most other split humbuckers that only thin the tone out?
I saw Stanley Jordan play a Vigier and thought it was cool.
TNC transparent natural charcoal maybe 🤔
Just went website. I like very sweet. And the weight is perfect.
Beautiful axe! Sounds great too! Now I want one! lol
Very nice! Thanks Steve 😊
SFB my Brother and Music-In-Law 🤘 that is one Sweet GUITAR 🎸 I love the versatility, all the pick-ups R Slamin! If I wasn't on a tight Budget 😵💫 I would want that Blue one, so it's not Chambered? And the little Black Button and I have not owned a Expensive Guitar sence the 80's, surgeries & tons of medical probs have had me in a fix 4 25+ years so cost is Key but I'm inching to buy a Vola, if U, RJ, Henning and my brother Ben likes em if I can I might try and get 1 Direct, but how are there return & Shppin back if there is Trouble, God Bless U SFB & Thanks 4 All U do Brother 🤘🎸🤠

Really Nice,,,Steve,
Price?
nice rig!
How tall are the frets please ?? Im not a good friend with short frets
Medium jumbo
' From What I've Heard' what exactly does that mean ? is it made in Japan or not ? Stop speculating and if you do not know for sure ... say so!
Of course it's made in Japan. It literally says "Made in Japan" on the back of the headstock. I'm talking about the specific factory. These are made, from what I've heard, in the same factory as Jackson, EVH, and Fender's MIJ guitars. As compared to the other factory, who makes Ibanez and other brands.
hey steve, i recently got one of these TNC models. Im having tuning issues especially in the low E and A strings right out of the box especially using the trem bar. Did you have any issues?
Don't use the string tree. Pop the strings out from under it and see if that's better. The string tree is for detuned players with large strings. My TNC is staying infinitely better after bypassing the string tree.
@@SFBGuitar awesome I had a hunch that the tree had somthing to do with it. I think the older models didn't have the tree but newer ones do.
These are great guitars but the tuning issues are a design fault related to the string tree. Vola originally released the guitar without a string tree but had to add string trees retrospectively to the OZ TNC’s after players and reviewers reported the bottom E string would regularly pop out of the nut particularly playing open E chords. Any point of friction on non-locking trem’s will cause tuning issues. This is exacerbated on the OZ TNC because the reverse headstock means the string tree has to be placed to hold down the wound A & E strings creating even more friction than a conventional headstock would. No string tree and a good set of staggered locking tuners should largely resolve the issue. I was hoping Vola would make some OZ TNC’s with staggered locking tuners and a non-reverse headstock. That would really catapult the OZ TNC’s into a league of their own!
@@steviesynapse I bypassed the string tree and put 10s instead of 11s. It's not 99% much better. Heavy whammy bar use will throw it outt of tune but I guess that's expected. I'll have to eventually install extra hardware to keep it I'm tune I guess
Steve…you’ve done so many Vola’s now, you’re probably a certified dealer…well done my man 👍
I mean if they free... take em right? lol
I see these on Reverb used for around $1200 that might make sense. Pretty guitar.
TNC was meant to be TNT for the song by AC/DC. However, when Japanese try and say TNT, it comes out TNC. That's how it got those initials. So just call it a TNT and you are ok.
Killer guitar...but reverse headstock is an abomination.
There are other models
folks just don't seem to buy such looking guitars, no one seems to gig something like that
Get a decent amp to demo the guitars man...that H & K is horrendous
You need glasses 🧐 That amp is off
@@SFBGuitar you're probably right...I do need new glasses but the tone wasn't doing the guitar any justice and besides that it was also swamped in effects (way too much reverb, delay...etc).
Sounds awful. Too expensive.
far out man nice shape on the head stock definitely cool man 🎉. Peace from California Silver Strand Beach The Volcano Posse 🤙
My JIVA is definitely black
