Still be pumping Enta Da Stage...TO THIS DAY!!
TO THIS DAY!!! 😂💯
Still!!
Same here, this is heavy in my rotation.
Yes sirrrrrrr
Oh you too
Shout out to all the people in the comment section that got to experience 90’s Hip Hop! Baggy jeans, Timberland boots, Army jackets! My era was dope!
Yes sir!!!
ABSOLUTELY !! 💯💪🏾💯💪🏾
Buckshot is one of the most underrated rappers of all time. I can listen to this song basically everyday. This song was in the Notorious movie, yes. It was playing during the scene when he and Kim was in the bedroom and she was rapping it.
My top 5
He is. So is Jeru tha Damaja. My favorite rapper of all time. And most people have never heard of him.
This album set it off for the whole Boot Camp Clik. The term "classic album" is thrown around nonchalantly, but this album is a legit classic.
Facts
Yep, that whole squad was nice! Fun fact, the beat came from a song called " Its a New Day" by Skull Snaps and a sample of " Tidal Wave" by Ronnie Laws.
And Dah Shinin and Nocturnal are even better!
@@FSVR54 I feel like Dah Shinin' is one of the most underrated hip hop albums of all time. Smif n Wessun dropped a gem with that one. And Ruck and Rock killed it on Nocturnal.
@@toadstyle_5 facts
Refreshing To See Somebody Your Age Going Back To The Essence Of The Culture And Appreciating Where It All Started...Keep Up The Good Work Young King...Respect!
my jeep tune
More boot camp clik please, they are seriously one of the best rap collectives ever.
You right on G. This is what Lil Kim was spitting in Notorious when Biggie told her to get sexy wit the flow
@Shawn Jackson if you ever heard that early freestyle from Kim she was definitely influenced by Buckshot lol
@@dawb86 Yo!! Dead ass lol
You gotta Do more Bootcamp like:
Black Moon - 2 Turntables and a Mic
Smif N Wesson - Sound Bwoy Burriel
Heltah Skeltah - Lafleur Laflah Eshkoshka
OGC - No Fear (explicit) 🙏🏻
Smif N Wesson - Bucktown
Headz Ain’t Ready
Buckshot doesn’t get enough credit as one of the best rappers from that era.
Ha! Black Moon was dope af. And Buckshot could RAP rap. I met them the first time I ever saw Nas live in SF a long ass time ago 😂
this whole album is dope.
This makes me happy that the youngins wanna learn 👍🏾
Salute to a young brother. Digging in the crates and learning about that gritty underground New York hip hop
I lost my mind when this album came out!!
Best indie label ever
I don't know where you might have heard this sample before, but the original song is called "Tidal Wave" by a jazz fusion artist named Ronnie Laws.
They played this in the Biggie movie. Also, Usher used the same sample early in his career on his single “Think of You.”
@@OriginalMan313 So was he older more famous flute playing brother Hubert!
@@jibsmokestack1 And Debra Laws was "very special" too! LOL!
" Straight from Brooklyn" part of this record was also sampled on another song you reviewed - - Crooklyn Dodgers with Special Ed ,Masts Ace and Buckshot ✔️✔️
Omg such a classic record!!! Maaan this takes me back to my boom box.. homemade mix tapes from the radio..record stores.. block parties..School dances..boy what a time to be alive back then. It's crazy because we didn't how good we had it back then until now smh
"how many MCs" and"I got ya open" are two other songs by Black Moon you should check out if you haven't already. Really the whole enta da stage album knocks
Black moon - i got u open
Black moon - How many mc's
MAN LET ME TELL YOU ....BLACKMOON FOR ME SINGLE HANDEDLY BROUGHT NEWYORK TO THE FOREFRONT OF HIPHOP IN THE EARLY 90S THEN WUTANG,NAS,MOBB DEEP ETC FOLLOWED SUIT AND NY WAS BACK LIKE THAT AFTER THE WEST HAD IT ON 🔐💯💯💯
💯💯💯
Blackmoon led ME 2 Nas then 2 Mobb Deep…
He was the first rapper to use crooklyn in his rhymes
The Actual Instrumental Itself Is Called "Tidal Wave" And It Was Written And Composed By A Jazz Saxophonists By The Name Of Ronnie Laws In 1975.
I remember hearing this back in 93 and it was an amazing time man. Buckshot, when he is rhyming laid back and mellow, got a particular flow that I can only compare to GURU. Truly underrated Emcee and group overall. The sickest joint they dropped (to me at least) was "How Many Emcees" because Buckshot introduced an extremely unique, jazz type of flow pattern never heard before at the time
How many Emcees is a banger. One of my favorites.
@@Unc0mmonSense Definitely a classic track.
Oh man. Now you're digging way back. 😆 Total classic. 🔥🔥
Crown Heights Representer a bonifide CLASSIC. Oh original Sample "Ronnie Laws" Tidal Wave
One my favorite songs! Old-school
One of my favorite beats from this time . Black Moon with this album in '93 was part of the classic albums that brought back the east sound when it seemed like GFunk and Deathrow was dominant. This album, the Wu debut, Illmatic, all dropped within 6 months of each other, thus, giving New York an updated grimier sound.
Exactly. Black Moon actually set this off first. They were the first. And they were one of the best
Black moon- gotcha open 🔥 track as well
My favorite album of 1993! CD not tape, bonus track on that joint! #BOOTCAMP
The production on this album was borderline master piece but Buckshot lyrics and delivery made this album a CLASSIC!!!!
Black Moon- I got ya open remix, the beat smooth on this one too. Black Moon is in a group called Boot Camp Which was Black Moon, Smiff n Wessun, Helta Skelta and OGC. All of them nice but My favorite out the group is Smiff N Wessun, they got heat!!
He did Got Cha Opin Remix already
^
Black moon - Buck Em’ Down (not the album ver., but the Beatminerz ver.)
"Nigguz talk shit" is hard af
Bruv u giving out knowledge for free
For some reason, this made me think of EPMD’s “Crossover” song. Used to be one of my favorite beats growing up. But yeah, Black Moon and Bootcamp Click had a real strong run in the 90’s with Heltah Skeltah, Smif N Wessun and OGC.
You should do a full album listen of Dah Shinin! BCC's best overall work and a complete classic
This song started the New York renaissance
Exactly
40k!!! You deserve it young blood!!
Some iconic hip-hop right here. Respect for checking out this era.
Usher uses this beat in his "Think of you" song...
I am 47yrs old I would like to say thank you for listening and understanding hip hop from my era. You have to do a reaction to this group call Coast Contra "Never Freestyle" these 4 guys will have you jumping out your chair. Real hip hop

Top 3 Best songs of ‘93 hands down. My personal favorite of that year.
Yo! My man keep digging and doing you✌️salute
My favorite Black Moon joint!!!🔥🔥🔥
Who got da props came out in 1993. A great source for data is: “Who Sampled Who”. Usher used the sample in “Think of You”. Quasimoto used it in “Return of the Loop Digga”. It was sampled in 47 other songs.
The sample is Ronnie laws- tidle wave
Damn finally bro I’ve been waiting for months!🤭
Ok u took it to my guys...these dudes raised me bru...now u getting it in
The sample is "Tidal Wave" by Ronnie Laws. If you ever get into jazz, that's an introduction. The album is Pressure Sensitive.
Buckshot is of my favorite rappers! Brooklyn 💪🏿
Enta Da Stage has a lot of dope songs on it... Listen to "I got cha opin" or "Slave".
Beatminers had those grimy ass beats.
Yes! Backpack rap days! I miss my era of hip hop. So glad to see youngsters listening to old school material!
Classic joint! you also need to How many emcees' and the I gothca open remix by Blackmon
.
This reminds me of another song from around that time. You should check out Smiff N Wessun, "Let's Get It On".
That's that rap movement boot camp click they were speaking for the block
you needed the visuals for this one.
Good memories of the short time I lived by Franklin Ave.
1993! Far Rockaway Queens NYC!!
Straight up one of the best hip hop tracks ever made!
Usher used this beat on "all the time I think of u"
You do some great reactions . A little more of the obscure but classic hip hop songs . Not many people have these songs
one of the dopest tracks from one of the dopest LP’s from 93… got the tape, got the CD, got the vinyl,,, just fuckin sick ass shit no doubt
Classic....it's so much better to experience it with the music vid though!
That song was featured on "NEW YORK UNDERCOVER" early 90's sitcom.
When rap hit its peak.
This was my joint Buckshot and the whole boot camp clik crew was so underrated Smif and Wessun, Heltah Skeltah O.G.C was my second favorite crew on East Coast
An anthem of the golden age of 90's hip hop. Hard to sit down with this one. Recommendations for some lesser known classic 90's : D-Nice -They call me D-nice, Mad Izm- Channel Live/KRS-1, React- Onyx (with a young 50 cent featured). Thanks for another great video.
Congrats, next time your in New Mexico lets reshoot that profile pic! Much love
High School days!!!! Whole album 🔥 🙌 👌
Thanks for this young brother!....what's the name of the background track that's playing before and after your review of the song?
My favorite song of all time... period...all genres
I love Buckshot because he's straight up Brooklyn
I remember I heard this in college and ran out to buy the Cassingle!
do "Buck Em Down" next, at times I think that is the GOAT rap song, or maybe tied with Microphone Fiend
You heard this from Lil Kim when she was 1st rapping for Biggie in his movie 💯
Maaan... the memories. We all had jansports and beepers.

Black Moon - Buck'em Down "REMIX"@
Peace ☮️ to the Brooklyn GOATS 🐐
Your audio sounds good for this song. I'm listening from my phone speaker :)
Fire reaction, I'd recommend reacting to Godfather Don - Do My Thing
Act like you want it - Banger.
Classic Album!
All my head are you ready?
Boot Camp was 🔥
Buckshot, OGC, Helta Skelta, Smiff N Wessen, Evil D beats was smooth and hard
Thanks for this brings me back
“STRAIGHT FROM BROOKLYN, BETTER KNOWN AS CROOKLYN”….(sampled on another banger, CROOKLYN by CROOKLYN DODGERS). Certified classic. This song defined the early underground or original “backpack” era of Hip-Hop. It was their breakout song and although Buckshot got much love for his energetic flow on this one, he flipped his whole style on their subsequent hits…he used a more laid back and melodic cadence that became his signature sound.
I think I remember hearing this song on the hood classic “Clockers”
Buckshot was no joke!
So classic!!
Yo. My dog even loves this song! 😂 Classic 90’s shit right here!
NY hip hop is on a whole did level
This song was in the Wu Tang series on disney plus when they were driving in U Gods car
In Brooklyn way back when folks were playing Blackmoon, smif n Wesson, wu tang, Pete rock, onyx, and queen latifah, over biggie, pac, and nas. No offense to the latter, that’s just the way it was, and I think we had it right
Pure classic right here:)
CLASSIC..
More Bootcamp please!OGC Heltah skeltah Smiff and Wesson. These guys held their own weight during the golden era
The whole Boot Camp was ill.. Check out some Smif&Wessun. Heltah Skeltah's Nocturnal was a hood classic
