A breach of the CIA’s classified communication system had reportedly exposed the identity of the US spies. Willing, unwilling and unknowing are the 3 types of human agents you get to deal with. The willing are the ones I'd trust the least. People too willing to sell their own out can't be trusted to not sell you out the other direction. The unwilling are probably the most reliable as they feel obligated to do what may be asked of them because the agency making the demands has soem sort of leverage over he or she. The unknowing can go either way. They don't know they are actually providing information for a foreign country...they may think they are selling a secret to a rival company within America or any number of false pretenses. However when it comes to money I'd say most spies are fairly well off as they are usually people in positions of influence.

@@CastleRaccon it's primarily political correctness. The US lacks the testicular fortitude to do what is necessary to protect its own interest, for fear of appearing morally deficient. It will be trampled by countries like China that have shared culture and values. The US is like a porous sponge...sensitive information pours out if it with minimal effort because half the people here don't actually care about the US one way or the other.
And it turns out that many people care deeply about their cultural roots, so they have no problem sending tech secrets from their US employers and government organizations back to their parent's homeland. It's actually extremely common (it happened at my last company), but obviously nothing can be done about it.
Really the only power the US has at this point is its soft power through the media. It might not be able to recruit spies successfully but it can annoy other countries by bombarding them with transgender propaganda lol
@@zane62135 The last thing a abc agency would care about is political correctness; why would they waste their resources when they can "still" subconsciously mind control everyone with misinformation, make money off drug trades, sabotage other governments; why can't people even look at historical documents. At this point I feel people want to point fingers at things they dislike to feel like they are right while getting an answer they can understand. Also information gets pull because of greed, pride and inefficiency; you know like the inefficiency to allow spies to enter your country, like the greed to make quick money, and the pride where everyone thinks they're so intelligent that nothing goes under their nose.
