Hey a trick I love to use is "spongering"
Where you blot a paint filled sponge to get randomized chipping effects that look so natural its insane
Especially if you use darker colors like black or rust then silver on top

Yo bro, this video is amazing. I started building around May 2019, it was because my friends gave me gunpla as my birthday present and i had been hooked since then. My mom wasn't quiet fond of my new hobby in the beningging, but after i bought a showcase rack, she moved the whole rack and all my kit to the living room.
The thing that caught my attention in this video was the part you said you have back injuries, and 16-18 hours a day thing got me concern. My back too aches when i build some times. What i am trying to say is, building is fun and it is part of our life, but taking care of your health is much more important. So please dude, rest and don't burden your back too much.

Really enjoyed the dark color scheme build that you did for this. For some reason it gave me a bit of a Shadow the Hedgehog vibe. While you'd said you weren't that comfortable with weathering, I thought the effects came out to be quite nice. That being said, I know the modeling communities for 40K and military vehicles are pretty big into weathering effects, so they would be a good place for advice :) Great work and cannot wait to see more builds. #studiog30k

I just started building gunplas recently. I now have 2 RGs, Exia and 00 raiser and 3 HGs, Seravee, GnX, and Barbaros Lupus Rex. And you're the very first gundam/gunpla building channel that I subbed to. Still learning to customize and your vids are very helpful and entertaining. I really love the disassembly part. Just as a heads up for battle damage, a great way to get a good "random splatter" is by cutting up a piece of sponge and dry brushing metallic paint with the sponge by catching corners on the model. You have to be careful and precise still but it'll give a very realistic look since the corners and outer edges would naturally take more wear and tear. I use this technique with my 40k tau crisis suits and it works perfectly!
I personally want to see a "clean look" without the weathering drybrushing etc. Although they look gorgeous with them. #studiog30k
I was hesitant too on should weather it or not but I went for it cause I wanted to learn and practice more on my weathering :)
