I miss "Star", and will not watch FOX-TV because they suddenly dropped Star and Empire. Everything Mr. Daniels touches turns to gold. I have no doubt The Wonder Years will be a hit, especially with Fred Savage's input. I loved the original series.
Psss. Its not neant to be. Its meant to destroy the memory of the original and any future kids discovering it while subverting demoralizing and fatiguing the olders into opiate O.D.'s. So it will stink.
They are both equally great in their own right .. The episode "love and war" from the new wonder years ,ties the two shows together in a wonderful way...
I worry that the new "Wonder Years" show won't be a success because its set in the wrong time period. The old show was made in the 80s and set in the 60s so the adults watching it were able to experience nostalgia for their youth while younger audiences could identify with the universal themes of being a kid going through puberty. The new show is also set in the 60s but those people who can remember living through it now are now retirement age. So, while it still will appeal with its universal themes of youth, it will probably not have as large of an audience.
IDK, as someone who watched the original series as a kid, i'm excited to watch the new series, so i think there's an middle-aged audience there who grew up with the show and wants to see / learn about another facet of the 1960s american experience
I know that's not what he (Mr. Daniels) said, and you know that's not what he said. He still accepted the Executive Producer position, and how could he go wrong, with Fred Savage on board? Whether or not he writes a script, Mr. Daniels will make big stars out of these kids, because he has the Midas touch.

Great show! both eras are equally great!!

Pilot of wonder years is so good. I’m glad Fred Savage is involved too.
Hope that remake’ll be good

@@MrWatchowtnow Did you come up with this diatribe all by yourself?
I LOVE THE WONDER YEARS!!!!
OMG, who's his dentist? If he had an extraction and is waiting for an implant, there are several ways to do something temporarily.
Ya that’s pure nonsense. NO TEETH ON EARTH take 4 months to make
The wonder years is the best show on television.
Didn’t even know there was going to be a remake of the Wonder Years. Hope it’ll be good if not better than the original.
@S. TK Speak for yourself! I think it’s magnificent.

Ms. Pat is 👑!!
Ms Pat is a walking minstrel show!
And as far as Daniels not wanting to do a remake, that makes two of us.

I agree, it should maybe be set in the 80s or 90s now!
The original show came out in 88 and was set in 68. I think it would have been wise to start the reboot in 2001. A year as tumultuous as 1968.

Thanks for sticking with no audience. I like it so much better than the bowling spectacle of Colbert, who I can barely stand to watch anymore.
AGREED
Can't wait to see the new Wonder Years looks like it's gonna be great. Loved the old one.

To each his own but what's the big deal about a missing tooth
In the black community, many think you're are or were a crack addict.
Thank God they had my teeth ready😂
And in a broader perspective, having a tooth removed can cause bone loss in the jaw!
@@maryrosekent8223 thanks for the share. Very helpful.
Fatigue , subvert , demoralize , destroy. Its not about success or money. Doesnt eork on me...its so pathetic it makes me smile
Look who's calling stuff pathetic...
@@DrGregoryHouseIT You sound more pathetic
So what you're saying is, you found a fall guy, in case the Wonder Years remake tanks.. smart, really.

Why I watch DrDisrespect instead of TV. Now.
