You missed the opportunity to discuss the amazing chemistry between Shoshona Bean and Jeremy Jordan. She’s slightly older than he is, lending a different tone to the relationship. It was an amazing dynamic shift that blew so many fans away.
i know Im asking randomly but does any of you know a method to get back into an instagram account? I somehow lost the login password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
I remember me and my friend went up to NYC to see Jeremy Jordan. To our disappointment, he was not there that night. I remember being shocked that people were literally leaving the theatre because Jeremy was not playing the role that night. Guests were going up to the stage hands asking for refunds. Anyways, we got to see an amazing swing play Potmatter that night and was blown away by Shoshana Bean’s performance. I guess it is important to note that although stunt casting is great, the swings and understudies are just as amazing :)
I personally would kill for a female Ogie. It would have the small issue of maybe changing When He See's Me to "When She See's Me" But other than that I just think it'd be cute
Thank you so much for this video, it's kinda jarring to see this timeline being laid out like that. I had the privilege to watch Sara as Jenna on her first short run and it was one of the highlights of my life seeing her performing on stage. This is such a beautiful show and I'm very happy with all the successes and legacies that it's paving for future generations.
Uhh WHAT?!? This video is amazing! It goes so in detail in the topics you're discussing while still keeping things interesting. The editing is greatly timed and very easy to follow. And your speaking and script was also very easy to follow, and was quite enjoyable(I'll happily take baking puns anyday) Keep up the great work!! I know you will get a large output.
Great video!! I love how detailed and well researched you were! You've got a new sub! I really like the term rotation rather than replacement. I think that's why I always came back to Waitress. Most cast members being "replaced" never left for good and always had the possibility of coming right back, so I never felt sad about cast members leaving. (Drew was always coming back haha) It just felt like the show was just building a roster of reliable actors to call on when needed.
wait WHAT. i thought this video was like wayyyy huger than it is !!!! was fully expecting thousands of likes and literally gasped *TWELVE???* stooopppp
It is absolutely wild to me that your videos don’t have more eyes on them! I just binged the Ratatousical one and this one tonight and I’m so impressed with the level of in-depth research that undoubtedly goes into putting these together! You just got yourself a new subscriber 👍🏽
Another great mini-doc from this creator! And I love the general topic of replacements in long-running shows...you should do a vid on The Weisslers, who really pioneered the modern-day C-list B’way replacement strategy (“Chicago”, “Grease”, etc). Great work!
Molly Hager was an understudy for Becky up until the briefly left the show in 2018. When she came back three months later she no longer covered Becky. She only went on once in the role. Chris Fitzgerald was unavailable to do A.R.T., and they knew that going into the production so the plan was Jeremy was going to be the understudy on Broadway but do the out of town tryout before Fitzgerald could join them.
Loved this - but you need to update it to include the September - December 2021 (prematurely closed two weeks earlier than planned due to COVID). Thanks!
Worth noting that the London production engaged in its fair share of stunt casting. The cringe inducing 2 month replacement of Laura Baldwin's Dawn by Ashley Roberts was a real low point.

when christopher fitzgerald said "i love you means you're never ever ever getting rid of me", he didn't lie.

colleen ballinger has a lot of theatre credits, just not broadway credits.
Love that you included Molly in the video!
This video is a DREAM. How do you ONLY have 249 subscribers???
Stephanie Torns will always be my Jenna!

I have great news ruclips.net/video/y-soBAcaclI/видео.html
This is an EXCELLENT video. Amazing work!
i've seen a lot of weird shit, but a Seussical commercial with That's How I Beat Shaq playing in the background is certainly up there
I've watched the West End version of Waitress. it was great
It’s cool how during the revival diversity in casting continues.
Wait,why haven't I seen this video before?
This was incredible
There’s gonna be a French version in Québec, Canada in Summer 2024! Exciting 🤗
Alison Luff was by far the best Jenna to my opinion
I thought the conpect of Stunt casting replaments in musicals started with Hello! Dolly! in the 60s
Wait, when June was Joe... or Josie.. how did "Take It From An Old Man" work?
WHAT that means that Dawn was played by both Veronica Sawyer and Princess Diana at different points? My brain is exploding.
Colleen was amazing as Dawn in Waitress! 🥧❤️
RIP Nick Cordero 💕
Was Jeremy Jordan not on Broadway before Waitress?
The Lion King Programme from seeing The show in 2014 dosn’t even Mention a single cast member 🙁
Stephanie Torns is my best friends cousin! I’ve seen her Jenna the most
I LOVE this vide
Replacements should be eligible for their own Tony.

Well Ashley was great tho. I wish she got to make her West End debut properly.
CARLY RAE JEPSEN WAS IN CINDERELLA???
Not gonna lie, people can disagree with me but a Guy playing Jenna, Just tweak it to where she may look masculine but she's still biologically female.
Wtf no
