holwcow's airman is still one of my most memorable maps! sad it's rated so low. back in 2007 it was a huge challenge to everyone. i think i can still pass it first try, from memory.

@@DamianTHAGames the thing is for unranked/graveyard maps it will take FOREVER to find a map that's atleast 0.01 stars considering alot of maps have an uncompleted diff that's 0 stars so I dont think that would be a good video, just my opinion.

Can’t even blame these maps for being bad. I mean, back then, there was literally no reference, no inspiration, it was just maps thrown together in an hour or two. And on top of that, it was way harder to map, to make even a decent slider let alone a good one was a struggle.

i dont remember the person who made the map though; but they have 3 difficulties and the first difficulty being the broken one
when i saw this i expected shit like i found when i used to play. i'd look for vocaloid songs or s3rl songs and undertale ones and they were always either really well done or really shitty
I personally remember that airman map as when I first played osu and was trying to get beat maps I decided to download the first beatmap packs and this was in one of the them and it was one of my most hated maps cuz I could never pass it

as someone who knows almost nothing about osu (just started playing it recently, very casual and super easy maps) I don't get why any of these are considered bad. I mean some of the songs are ehh, but I don't understand what about the actual layout makes it bad
some types of patterns are not flowey (if thats a word), some maps are very boring with nothing to get excited about, some maps don't have sliders which can also makes it boring and timing is also an issue sometimes

ya know, you can click that box that says "do this automatically from now on" and you don't have to click "ok" every time you open a new osu map.

You should have done this a few years later. You mentioned how the only bad maps are old maps, now we have keitaro's granat and wafer's uncanny long arms..The only 2 modern maps which compare to 2007 maps' shittiness.
scatman by scatman john is a really good 2007 map. i've been trying to finish it since last night, but i got the game 2 days ago and it's a 3 star map so it'll be awhile

i got Osu as a Aim trainer for Valornet, CoD, and Fortnite and it work really well, but then i started playing it more and more till i got addicted
im not sure why i decided to listen to this when im hungover
i think the beatmap 'garlic bread man of kind' is good for beginners to play , as it help with tapping speed

I think some players rate a map low because they either don’t understand why it is mapped the way it is or it is just too difficult

Well honestly the map rankings are complete nonsense because the majority of players just can't rate at all. People either give like 1/10 for things they don't like and things they DO like will end up with 10/10 or 9/10. At this point they should just remove a 10 score rating system and replace it with thumbs up/down, as clearly nobody gives a damn about giving accurate ratings
