Great footage and so amazing to see how much work has been done. We thought it would take months for the bridge to be fixed. They've really worked hard to get this much accomplished!
It collapsed in 5 different places, and they got it patched up 3 weeks! It was enough to send around 350 utility trucks over to begin debris removal and restoration of power and water. Governor DeSantis’ leadership has been amazing!
So from what I understand it’s just a temporary bridge for now just to allow you on and off the island but they eventually will be building a permanent section or sections would be more accurate?
It doesn’t look they’re going to build a new bridge. They have crews out there with heavy equipment working day and night reinforcing everything… the islands are huge!

Federal Tax dollars hard at work. You think that Florida would have a plan for tropical storms and hurricanes instead of standing there with there hand out looking surprised every time one hits.
Florida actually had something like $500 million budgeted for hurricanes, but this one was something nobody had ever seen. Besides, Florida pays into those tax dollars.
