I was surprised by how sweet the whole film was. I was expecting a bunch of sexual innuendo and lowest common denominator humour which it had but it also had a big heart :)
This is about more realistic reaction compared to all the positives being displayed on social media. People forget that everyone actually gets scared and arent always on the same page or terms when it comes to having a baby
This movie is actually such a heartfelt movie. :) They could have so easily just made the guy a complete douchebag and the lady a hormonal crazy lady but they're both a lot more nuanced than that.
I hated the realness of this scene and understand why it was cut BUT then 02:50 moment happened and her nearly genuine laugh at a difficult time was truly heart-warming.
And to think they took this scene out and left in that stupid scene where Seth Rogan meets up with his father, that seems seems so unreal and serves no purpose in the movie
It makes sense why they took this scene out, it’s way too emotional and drama heavy it takes away from the comedy aspect from the film. It’ll really make the movie inconsistent and not to mention with how Ben was so immature in this film and not knowing if he wanted a child.
@@shariqsonindahouse9663 nah it was too much character growth for Ben too early in the movie. This scene wouldn’t make sense because Ben didn’t man up till after Allison left him toward the end. This scene essentially makes the rest of themovie pointless for Ben character
Or they would keep it and not even tell the guy. They would just move away and you would never even know or hear from them again. That’s the sad reality these days too !!
@@davecarter_1185hdhahahaha in real ñife the guys disapear the moment they hear they left pregnant someone why are you all crying 😂😂😂 you wish the other won't tell you
they deleted this scene for two reasons, in my opinion: 1. too political -- nothing is more polarizing than the abortion debate and pro-abortion people would at the very least feel uncomfortable with the scene. 2. it's too flat and boring. there's some good moments but it drags on and on and ends on a flat, uninspiring note.
Please. No pro-choice person would be in the least uncomfortable with this scene. Open your ears, pro-choice folks are PRO choice. None of them are pro abortion. Dialogue can only happen when we honestly recognize our opponents' own point of view.
@@MyGdoggy Pro-abortion is the stance where all females are encouraged to get an abortion and not go through with birth after nine months. On the other hand, pro-choice means the female gets to decide whether they want to keep it. It is not encouraging every female to get an abortion. There are situations where female do not want to keep their baby out of rape, underage and incestuous relationships.

this was supposed to be in the movie. i always wondered why they discussed whether they should keep it or not. leaving this out created a gap in the scenario.
Haven't seen the movie but i'm assuming that this is quite early in ? Is Ben perhaps being too likeable (for the narrative context) too early for the emotional arc of the movie ?
I'm not in the business, but this much I know: Yes, definitely. There are always some scenes- short or longer ones- that end up on the cutting floor. Maybe except for The Room that is. I don't know.
He pays his own damn mortgage and will fart wherever and whenever he bloody well pleases. If the kids dont like it, then they can find somewhere else to live! Signed all men and husbands everywhere 😂
I can't tell if this is a joke or not. They had a conversation about it, and he said that he wanted to do what she wanted to do. He's not the one that is going to carry another human inside him for months and then push it out of his body, and in the movie he doesn't have a job and smokes weed all day, so he doesn't seem like he'll be a primary financial supporter either. Tell me how he's getting "fucked" here by deferring to the person who will ultimately be responsible for the child should they choose to have it.
*****$ While I agree with you, I'd like to point out that he has, most likely, been producing sperm since puberty - he has NOT been "carrying" the specific sperm cell that successfully joined with her egg for very long at all. He definitely seems like the type of guy who regularly jerks off throughout the day so he, presumably, has a fresh supply at all times. Even if he's not a jerker, the body has its own method of eliminating old sperm from the body called nocturnal emissions ("Wet dreams") so the result will be the same - relatively fresh supply of sperm at all times. I'm sure you knew this already, however, your statement was erroneous as it is written.

yeah, iam confused..... why the deleted it ?? :(
For comedic reasons. They didn't want it too heavy.
It's a long movie and this scene probably didn't score well in front of the test audiences
I know Judd Apatow movies are known for running 20mins too long but, this scene was golden. They shouldn’t have cut it.
If he'd left it in, you'd say the movie was "twenty minutes too long."
They deleted this scene, because it doesn't match with the overall tone of the movie. This is a serious scene

What helped you enjoy the scene was more real ness. The irony there.
