Suggestion: This video would benefit greatly from closer, longer-duration views of the actual removal & reinstallation steps. That's a super-tight spot in there, and there's a lot of structure and mechanical parts in the way.
Looks easy, for some reason my 2020 has radiator hoses in the way and I can't get two hands in there to save my soul. Lucky to get two fingers. Just learned they changed the 2021 battery location, lucky me
I have a 2000 polaris 335 and thought the battery placement was a bit goofy, but I am glad mine is where it is. This one is in such a bad location. Maybe they figured that by putting it in such a stupid location, they will make more money at the dealership.
CEO to engineer. “Make sure you put an undersized battery in the worst possible location.”
I would not recommend this four wheeler strictly because of this stupid battery placement.
yep i have thus quad and the battery placement is so dumb

This engineer has probably moved on
I love my 450 but changing the oil is also a giant pain.
Battery only lasted 3 years, thanks consumerism
My keeps over charging my a Polaris sportsman 400 2013
I have so say this science nobody else has this is a horrible spot to put the battery please put it somewhere else
It is. Horrible. I have one. I'll be on my 3rd battery in 16 months. Has a constant drain.
@@bagger2013jm get a honda i bought a polaris big mistake
@@bagger2013jm No doubt about it, a battery maintainer is crucial for these ATVs if they're not ridden frequently. Too bad the older models don't have a socket for easy connection; you have to rig one yourself. The newer Sportsman models look like they've added sockets for exactly that reason.
I'd like to shove a battery up the arse of the worthless engineer that came up with this location.
@@shawnkessel8202 This atv is the most pain in the ass to work on of any. I got my kid a cheap Chinese atv and they put the battery in seat and spark plug you can access without disassembling anything. $400 atv smarter design than $6000.
2020 Engineers suck. They put stuff in the way that doesn't have to be there. They are just lazy jagoffs
I've had two new Polaris sportsmans and I will never buy another one. Suzuki is the only way to go. You lift the seat. You have the battery, otherwise you're screwed with Polaris🎉 I'm done
I'll tell you what follow these steps and don't buy a f****** Polaris there f***** they're worthless😢
