KCP like Guy on the wing (Fast, can recover to guards and forwards and help in transition for AD and Bron) That's why we don't have transition defense problem back in 2020. That's why losing something like KCP is crucial to the team. Instead we got Dorian Funny Smith and Milkshake Milton. I think Pelinka move just to move, so that he is seen as working, but these two funny people are unwanted upgrades, they will instead just potentially create new problems for the team. DFS is slow, he might be in the right position but he's slow, he can't recover to guards timely and can't help AD and Bron transition like a KCP, and he doesn't have the scoring repertoire of a RUi hachimura, what he got instead is a better defense than Rui, so his existence is a confusion to Rui's position because now people are thinking of sitting Rui in favor of him, but they didn't know that they're trading Rui's offense for DFS' defense, meaning, going from a Rui to DFS is not a clear upgrade. Milkshake has bad slow release 3-pt shooting form. This is the type of guy that should be buried deep in the bench, just in case the other guy and the next guy is unable to play.
AR’s offense is fine. I’m never going to give him credit for being a good player when he gives up as many as he scores, though. Most frustrating thing is at times he doesn’t even appear to try.
Stop trying to trade Rui. If he gets shipped then we lose one of our offensive minded forwards. Which leaves us with 3 defensive forwards who will never get you 15-20+ points. No reason to keep Vando or Cam since they fulfill the same purpose especially now that we have DFS.
@ My issue is why people are saying trade Rui when he’s at least available. Vando has had two foot surgeries within the last two years and hasn’t played basketball since last year. He’s also had multiple setbacks during recovery, so who knows if he’s going to be the Vando of old. I would trade Vando since he costs more than Reddish if I could but as it stands you probably try to trade Gabe, JHS, Cam, Hayes, and Wood.
If its not Walker Kessler then its not reason to include a first in a deal for a big. The other options are minor upgrades from our minimum deal centers who at least have the continuity with the team than bringing a small upgrade in talent may not have.
Facts and don’t we still have Christian wood? He is absolutely a big deal.. especially alongside AD. Watch how fast we forget once he steps foot on the court.
Austin Reaves' last 3 games have been phenomenal All Star level. HOWEVER, even before this, Austin has the the unquestionable #3. Prior to the 2 last games with monster numbers, since Friday Dec 27 Reaves was putting up these numbers -17.4 PPG. 3rd on team -5.1 AST. 2nd on team -4.1 RBs. 5th on team, even though he is probably closer to 10th in height -2.3 TOs. 2nd worst, BUT naturally, it is a given that the two worst are the ones handling the ball far more than anyone else. DUH -2.2 AST/TO ratio. This is the BEST of the 3 real ball handler/playmakers -1.1 STL. He even ranks 3rd on steals per game, but 2nd on total steals for the season so far. -Scored 10+ points in 23 games this season. That is 3rd. With a larger gap below him, than above him (25 for AD, 25 for Bron, 17 for DLo, 15 for Rui, 11 for DK) Even on a bad night (Pistons), he still scores 4th highest points, and 3rd in rebounds. And somehow managed to be +16, the best on the team that night, on his worst game. -59th across the LEAGUE (not guards, ALL players) in clutch points scored in the last 5 mins -3rd on the Lakers, in clutch points scored in last 5 mins ALL of these stats have gone up since then. As these are averages and aggregates, they are pace to increase (and already have with the last 2 games). His usage has gone up, as well as the ball being in his hand. First it went up with DLo going to bench. Then is slowly increased via a combo of injuries and inconconsistant play from the other ball handlers. When idiot fans were calling for AR to be traded for LaVine or Fox, even aside from their contracts being 3+ times bigger than AR, Ive always maintained that Austin's stats could easily go up on teams if he were the #2. Whereas, on the Lakers, he plays the not just the overall role he is given, but also within the game according the what the team needs in the moment. He is not and has NEVER been, and probably never will be a player who NEEDS or DEMANDS a minimum level of minutes usage or status. He consistently defers to the team, even when he is the top player in a game. If you math out the production to contract ratio Austin Reaves is FAR superior to a LaVine, Fox or otherwise (PPG/Cost, AST/Cost etc). Keeping AR allows the Lakers to use more resources on depth. It makes far more sense to trade anyone outside of AR (Bron and AD are already excluded from any trade, as a default)
What do you guys think about rui gabe jhs and whatever draft capitol needed to get Ayo Dosunmu Lonzo and Torrey Craig? Young fast rising star, smart 2way pg and veteran 2way wing
The roster is building a path towards the 2020 roster but people forget offensively they heavily depended on Bron and AD . Bron can’t do that . The question will be can Austin gave what kuz gave or better for it to work .
I wouldn’t want to but im doing the knecht one if that’s the only way to make the deal kessler is younger than Knecht and can replace our best players production on defense and the boards
Lakers nation! I have a trade for you guys that want walker kessler. Would you give dalton and remove the 1-4/5 protection for the 27 pick for him? It works out cap wise and it might be a move jazz would make

I wish we could get Walker Kessler without being fleeced by DA and I wish we could look into the future to see if Lonzo is going to return to the old Lonzo and go get him. Thats the perfect trade deadline for me
Bro all Austin did was play his position like he should’ve been doing; FACILITATE! He’s actually passing the ball to everyone instead of just LeBron and AD also, not chucking up bs shots n forcing them when he’s off! Austin continue to be a point guard, fans had the right to feel the way they did. Lastly, we’re two players away from being true contenders 🤷♂️
yes, Walker is the dream, I just don't see Danny ever traded him to us, he may run the Jazz, but he is a Celtic in his heart, Nick Richards seems more doable to me
Anthony Black & Goga for Rui. Goga can do everything Jonas can but younger and more athletic. Black is a young, tall, and athletic. 6'7" point guard paired with Shake. Tremendous size advantage over most back courts.
Ngl saying D’Lo was 100% of the problem is crazy😭 I like the move for both sides, he has his “own” team with no pressure. And the Lakers get more fit in the system guys. It’s crazy how many ppl hate D’Lo. Like without him we don’t make the last two playoffs whether he fumbled in Denver or not. Y’all acting like his fit was worse than the other Russell we had
@ Don’t be mistaken when Vando hits that corner 3 he’s a relatively good asset. Don’t forget he can score at the rim. He just needs to stay healthy so I can see why Lakers not in a rush to bring him back.
My ideal off-season would be trading JHS, Hayes & a second or 2 for Nick Richards. & then use Gabe, Wood & the other 2cd in another trade for a upgrade at the backup point gaurd
Lakers need to get players that are HUNGRY. We can't expect someone who is collecting a check yearly of $50 million to go all out each night. We need young players.
@Trevor_Lane Agreed 💯 the Lakers should mortgage their future for Kessler! That being said, if they have to pursue a different big, are Vuj, Nurk & J Val pretty equal Defensively (rebounding, rim protection, perimeter d on guards)??? If so, wouldn't Vuj be the best option bcuz offensively there is a huge difference scoring wise??? The fact Vuj can shoot the 3, that separates him from the others... ur thoughts
If we get Kessler, you gotta give it all. I think who could have got was Day Ron Sharpe in the D Lo trade just add JHS but, why it didn’t happen, who knows. Those are the top two options
Whats the infatuation with Kessler How is he in Pick and Roll definitely not worth multiple picks for a back up Big AD is too slow now to guard 4s rather make a deal for Sharpe or Richards
@peteranders6893 You Have to include dlo Contract and that he is not a starting pg on the Lakers not over Austin DFS is a Potential Starting PF SF Kessler won't Be A Starter Because he can't Shoot and to Mortgage The Future for a back up big is Wild
@peteranders6893 bro I think you have me confused I like Dlo as a Player he plays well off the ball streaky shooter and is a good facilitator but your not talking about his contract he is a free agent biggest trade chip you have he is a liability on Defense even with his height and wingspan and his lack of atheletism kills us in the post season I've always said you should never let players go if we don't have a replacement IE KCP Kuzma who was the only true wing defender the Lakers have had in years besides Grren and KCP take your feelings out of the situation Lakers needed a 3 who have decent Defense and Size and can take and make an open shot and we need a Back up Big AD doesn't shoot well enough from from 3 to be a 4 and Bron Is too slow we gave up 2nd rounders and an expiring contract for DFS which was a good move And they put dlo back on a Team where he can showcase his Skills
The problem we arrive at now is the offense has been struggling, we also need another athletic ball handler and most of the targets we can trade for would require Rui’s contract. Brown, Ball, Brogdon, Sexton. Are they even willing to trade Rui? Are players like Ayo or Tre Mann going to be available at all for 7 or 5 mil?
I’m not trading Rui. Their main focus need to trade the small contracts to get Richards from the Hornets. Then they can find their PG in the buyout market especially if they wait a bit longer. Your basically saying that you are okay with trading Rui who is shooting the ball really well for us btw
@@basedsaeed13 all I’m doing right now is asking real questions. I don’t really care if we keep or trade Rui. He’s good, he’s not that good. I acknowledge they don’t want to move him, and that they probably can’t move Vando. I also acknowledge this team has a few weaknesses that need addressed. The buyout market is likely non existent for Lakers given 1st apron rules. If they trade for Nick Richards, Ayo Dosunmu, Tre Mann, Cody Martin, Kessler. I’m fine with that. Whatever small contracts, high value acquisition they can make.
@@fattony9227 I would. That's the only way Danny Ainge trades him to us. If not, then Jonas or Dayron or Richards or Poeltl. The only way to get Poeltl would be with Rui. I think we agree that AD needs help.
I watched the Cavs game and Austin although he had a good night Austin was definitely a turn over magnet! I wish him the best because he is a Laker, but Austin needs help at the guard position, he’s not a natural ball handler and his defense remains suspect. I suggest moving Austin to the 2 and let’s bring in a defensive minded guard to help out when Austin is facing more athletic backcourt foes. So, let’s not hype this small sample size play to much because the regular season and playoffs are two different situations.
I would much rather trade vando than rui, I get vando is better than rui, but at the end of the day availability players a major key, and rui has provided that, and overall has performed good this year, best defender no, but he’s played his role pretty good, and definitely would only trade him for the right trade, like Bruce brown hell no, dude hasn’t been the same since Denver
What are you referring to, exactly? I don't think they'll trade him, but you don't always trade a player just because you gave up on them. Sometimes it's a tough decision, and you trade one of your best players to improve the team all-around.
Can't believe I'm saying this but keep Gabe, trade rui for Sharp, he has the highest ceiling and instantly make us an athletic defensive threat and find a guard on a buy out.
@ I’m not saying Reaves is better, I’m just saying the way Reaves has been playing now that his role has increased gives me Brunson-esk vibes. Both small guards, with good ball handling, court vision, playmaking and can score at will with the ability to draw fouls and takeover a game.

Totally with Trevor! Go for Kessler!!!
I like Nick Richards and Cody Martin for 2nd JHS and Christian Wood and Gabe Vincent
What about getting Collin Sexton and Walker Kessler? Does Sexton fulfill the need of an athletic defensive guard?
Utah Jazz already reported they not trading Walker Kessler so try again Lakers not getting him
Austin Reaves' last 3 games have been phenomenal All Star level. HOWEVER, even before this, Austin has the the unquestionable #3. Prior to the 2 last games with monster numbers, since Friday Dec 27 Reaves was putting up these numbers
-17.4 PPG. 3rd on team
-5.1 AST. 2nd on team
-4.1 RBs. 5th on team, even though he is probably closer to 10th in height
-2.3 TOs. 2nd worst, BUT naturally, it is a given that the two worst are the ones handling the ball far more than anyone else. DUH
-2.2 AST/TO ratio. This is the BEST of the 3 real ball handler/playmakers
-1.1 STL.
-59th across the LEAGUE (not guards, ALL players) in clutch points scored in the last 5 mins
-3rd on the Lakers, in clutch points scored in last 5 mins
ALL of these stats have gone up since then.
STOP IT ALREADY. KESSLER IS NOT ON THE
MARKET
Vando and dorian on the floor is a problem
What do you guys think about rui gabe jhs and whatever draft capitol needed to get Ayo Dosunmu Lonzo and Torrey Craig? Young fast rising star, smart 2way pg and veteran 2way wing
I cant wait for trade talk to finish.
It works out cap wise and it might be a move jazz would make
Utah Jazz already reported they not trading Walker Kessler so try again Lakers not getting him
And nope I wouldn't trade Dalton Knecht for no Walker Kessler who y'all acting like some hall of famer 😂
If Poeltl is available then the lakers need to explore a trade
No.1 center should be Myles Turner😊
Poeltl
7ft 260lbs
6th best rebounder per 48
Is nobody gonna talk about the 24 2nd chance pts we gave Cleveland
Oh nevermind...this is what loses us more games than ANY one thing else and it only gets mentioned in passing
So what you’re saying, Trevor is that the Cavs are a hell of a ball team😂
If u do swap u might as well tell em take cam to so we can open up roster spot 2 for 1 that’s good research trev
Why is no one talking about cutting someone and picking up Markell faultz
Trevor. Would you give up Rui and 2 first for Sexton and Kessler ?
No
Portland is another big team. We CANNOT have Rui @ the 5 anymore
Preferred Trade Partners/Proposals:
1) Walker Kessler for FINO/Wood/Unprotect 2027/1-1st
2) Nik Richards for FINO/Wood/2-2nds
Ngl saying D’Lo was 100% of the problem is crazy😭 I like the move for both sides, he has his “own” team with no pressure. And the Lakers get more fit in the system guys. It’s crazy how many ppl hate D’Lo. Like without him we don’t make the last two playoffs whether he fumbled in Denver or not. Y’all acting like his fit was worse than the other Russell we had
Vando coming back healthy makes Rui 100% tradable ✅ . Lakers trade targets to become legit contenders. 💡De’Aaron Fox 🦊 or pivot to Sexton/Kessler.
Utah Jazz already reported they not trading Walker Kessler so try again Lakers not getting him 😂😂
Sacramento Kings never trading De'Aaron Fox to a rival Lakers team they hate proof you don't know basketball 🏀😂
Good luck with banking on Jared Vanderbilt health a one way player who's a offensive liability 😂
@ Don’t be mistaken when Vando hits that corner 3 he’s a relatively good asset. Don’t forget he can score at the rim. He just needs to stay healthy so I can see why Lakers not in a rush to bring him back.
@@JerryLane-c1e 😂😂I never said Lakers will GET Fox. I simply stated the 2 moves they can possibly make to become legit contenders.
I’d trade for Bruce brown too. He’s an athletic point of attack guard
My ideal off-season would be trading JHS, Hayes & a second or 2 for Nick Richards. & then use Gabe, Wood & the other 2cd in another trade for a upgrade at the backup point gaurd
I do like Walker Kessler now I like how he plays and moves he’s a better Zubac and younger
Lakers need to get players that are HUNGRY. We can't expect someone who is collecting a check yearly of $50 million to go all out each night. We need young players.
@Trevor_Lane
Agreed 💯
the Lakers should mortgage their future for Kessler! That being said, if they have to pursue a different big, are Vuj, Nurk & J Val pretty equal Defensively (rebounding, rim protection, perimeter d on guards)??? If so, wouldn't Vuj be the best option bcuz offensively there is a huge difference scoring wise??? The fact Vuj can shoot the 3, that separates him from the others... ur thoughts
3 games out of an entire season and don’t forget who he’s playing alongside .
Best case scenario in trades
1. Kessler & Sexton
2. Richards & Mann
3. DayRon Sharpe
4. Isaiah Stewart
No on Stewart for me
Trade idea: Rob out, Trevor in 😂
AR been hooping. We as a team have to be better defensively and we’ll be good.
If we get Kessler, you gotta give it all. I think who could have got was Day Ron Sharpe in the D Lo trade just add JHS but, why it didn’t happen, who knows. Those are the top two options
Utah Jazz already reported they not trading Walker Kessler so try again Lakers not getting him
Whats the infatuation with Kessler How is he in Pick and Roll definitely not worth multiple picks for a back up Big AD is too slow now to guard 4s rather make a deal for Sharpe or Richards
I wonder if CHI would trade Vuc and Coby White for 2 firsts and Rui
I’m sad for Maxwell. 🙏 ❤
AR is a superstar.
Just like Kessler I may be willing to give up a first or two for Sharpe n Rob Will. Protected for sure.
Do it. 2 1sts for Walker Kessler. And add a 2nd rounder too if necessary. Dude is good for now and the future.
I would not give 2 FRP's for Kessler.
I would just trade for Day Ron Sharpe. Cam Reddish, Wood for Sharpe. Hopefully it can get done then sign a guard.
They better add some scoringggggg
Walker Kessler and sexton would be great
I dont know what some of yall are watching... Sh.. I believe in Austin 💯 %
Wait until we play defensive teams 😂.. i think he’s good but not good enough to be handed the keys like Pelinka has done
What are you referring to, exactly? I don't think they'll trade him, but you don't always trade a player just because you gave up on them. Sometimes it's a tough decision, and you trade one of your best players to improve the team all-around.
JHS and both picks for Kessler makes too much sense
Can't believe I'm saying this but keep Gabe, trade rui for Sharp, he has the highest ceiling and instantly make us an athletic defensive threat and find a guard on a buy out.
Trevor I hope u get your late Christmas wish!!! Keep Hope Alive!
Reaves has been giving me Jalen Brunson vibes
haha how so? as a die hard Knicks fan i think Jalen is better, but i really respect Austin.
@ I’m not saying Reaves is better, I’m just saying the way Reaves has been playing now that his role has increased gives me Brunson-esk vibes. Both small guards, with good ball handling, court vision, playmaking and can score at will with the ability to draw fouls and takeover a game.
@@Jala_Mela for sure. completely agree. i didn't even know who Austin was until i went to the Knicks and Lakers game at MSG last year. they both are very good players.
They need a center AD is A4
it feels to me like the NBA wants LeBron to retire, which is stupid, but the schedule makers then give the Lakers a truly absurd schedule
