Go big or go home on the tire size. You most likely won't go smaller ever again. You won't regret putting on a nice set of 31s. The 31s made a worlds difference on my plane.
Keep up the videos. I’m really enjoying them. I hope to have an order into Steve sometime in 2019. I to will build it with as many of his modifications as I can. Thanks again
Great to see a build from the delivery stage. I live in the uk and would love to also build a highlander or kitfox type aircraft. What is the minimum size of hangar/garage as I currently only have a double garage do you think that would be possible?
Thanks for the video and the descriptions. This helps a ton!! Is that Beringer tail wheel lockable? And what was the price on the t1 shocks vs the monster shocks?
It is a super stol tailwheel assembly. It can come in lockable or non lockable versions. I am doing the non lockable one. Ive been flying with a full swivel non steerable tailwheel on my current plane for a while now. The tk1 shocks are $2500. Shock Monster and TK1 are the same thing. I will also be purchacing the main gear legs from TK1.
I ordered my kit with no fabric because I want oratex, otherwise it comes with fabric. The only interior Item it comes with are seat cushions, the rest is up to the builder. The highlander kit is more than 24k, I spent almost $50k on my kit.
@@kevincamp189 kevin, am I missing something. I have no doubt you spent 50k but the price of the airplane less engine, options, avionics and firewall forward says $24900 on their web site. Seems like adding quick build, shipping and other options puts the airframe around maybe 34 with tax. Add offroad gear and other and it just keeps going up. But is it not a 24900 base price plane?
@@destro513thank you. the $24500 is base price for the escapade kit. Just aircraft considers the highlander an option from that kit. It's an additional $3000.
TK1 is wider and cheaper (they can actually make them to whatever spec you want). I observed both of them in action on the highlander and liked TK1 better. And finally it was recommended by Steve Henry.
I call it the Steve Henry Special. There is no list. I have picked up on his mods watching the evolution of each one of his planes. If you talk to him he is more than happy to share everything with you.

I sure would like to have a little plane been up one time in a Piper cub be nice to learn to fly one

Thank you for the videos. Will you be buying the exhaust, wiring harness, gearbox, etc...from Steve?
Most likely the exhaust and gearbox. I might do the wiring myself.
Keep that grip heater on the wiring harness and use it as a seat heater buy a seat Element kit off of eBay
So is this the kit listed for 24k. Does it not come with fabric or interior?

@@kevincamp189 also great series. I cant wait to watch the rest from ep 7 and get all caught up when I get off work

Kevin Camp If you don’t mind, around how much was the bill for the Oratex order? Thanks! I am following this build closely.
Kevin. Why did you choose TK1 landing gear and not the Berringer Alaska Landing Gear?

Great project; is there a list of Steve Henry mods you choose from, or do you just say 'Steve Henry it' when you order the kit? HA, Thanks

hi how much would you be asking glenn
Its too soon to tell. I dont know how much the turbo kit for the apex is going to cost and I have not decided on my avionics yet.
