This channel is mostly about aviation. Focusing on paragliding, ultralight flying, and experimental aircraft building and flying. Most of what you see is shot right at home on "the farm" as friends and family refer to it. The backyard runway attracts neighbor paraglider pilots almost every calm evening and the two hangars are full of airplanes and flying machines.

Does anybody’s Starflight TX 1000 have 2 tubes, one on each side of front of seat , going up to main tube? My friends does, and his stick hits it when moved to forward position , especially on left turns with spoilerons. I haven’t seen any other TX1000 with them. My guess is previous owner was heavy, and flexed the bottom tubes too much, so installed these. They’re the same black epoxy coated tubes as the rest though.

I think the cap went in between the frame tubes. I might have also lowered the engine mount plate.
How did you clear gas tank from frame
I think the gas cap was the only issue with a slight interference

It's been a while since I did this. Let me take a look at it when I'm in the shop today.
It looks like I welded a 1 inch keyed hub to the factory wheel to accept the 1 inch go kart axle.
How much did you sell the stock motor for?
Probably around $125

@Gassmann69 everyone seems to be looking for the inexpensive "deal." With a 26 month wait for a new kit I will need more money than I have invested in my kit to sell it.

I confess the only thing I am uncomfortable with is the fuel gage, but overall there is a LOT to like about this plane. Love the monster tires. Great that a plane like this can be had for around $15K. Cost is the thing that keeps most of us on flight sims and dreams.
You wouldn’t happen to have an assembly manual would you. My friend has one he bought at auction. His does not have spoilerons, it has ailerons. I’ve have not seen any others with ailerons. How are the spoilerons on yours attached, controlled?
I do not have any paperwork on this airplane. The spoilerons are activated by the stick, and pedals control the rudder.

So pretty, when the shadow is stretching to touch the gear on the grass. I did a screen capture for background on a desktop I use occasionally at work. (My V-6 STOL is a modified PA-22 with tailwheel and 15" stretch.) 230hp. Homesick angel, but a little heavy for flare.

I want so much to have one. It's the freedom and the realization of a boyhood dream that drives me to want to fly with the birds, to see things in a way not many people get to see. People dream of riches beyond measure or beautiful women. I dream of flying and getting closer to God and maybe even God hearing me a little more than usual. My dream is to fly and I cherish the thought of one day realizing this dream.

Do you need special motor mounts for the Apex engine or is that included with your setup? Also what is the benefit of the extra wing length? Do you lose top end cruise speed by doing so? How hard would it be to revert to factory length? Thank you
Engine mounts are not included. Wild west aircraft can provide them. Extended wings lower stall speed and improve short field performance.... I am not sure what they would do in cruise.

I try to. It takes a lot of extra time while building to film everything.

@@kevincamp189 I’m currently building a Cobra kit car and I’m almost done with the chassis. I can’t start the body work until next Spring when the weather warms up. That means I have plenty of spare time.
