I really liked the pic you inserted with shipboard and wall all one color. I like keeping my fireplace and wall color neutral so I can decorate with any color and it will blend well. Oh my gosh, i hate snakes….last spring I went out my front door and a baby snake dropped on my head from the top of the doorway. I nearly passed out! Have fun decorating! This is the first year I won’t decorate my home for over 35 years. We are visiting our son and first grandchild in London. I can hardly wait! ♥️♥️🤗♥️
I can't wait to see how you decorate your bird cage. I have several too that open up and everything I try to put in there looks lost. Then if I put something too large, it consumes the cage so I hope you do another video of finishing your Christmas decorating. You just have a great talent for decorating. All those rustic elements will look so great with the round cardinal placemat as you have the branches and those little cardinals. I have the same napkin holder! . As for the colors, I saw the tan in the one room with the antiqued-looking fireplace and really thought that would look nice, but I the green you did pick out I like as well. Then I saw the other green you had so I would stick with the tan or the green. If the tan is on the upper walls and the green on the wood part maybe that would look ok? It's hard to say but we love our neutrals too. Our living room is called something like a dessert rose and is cream with a slight hint of pink but hardly noticeable at times. As for boxes with possible snakes, maybe grab some barbecue tongs when you open them so you have a long handle until you know you're safe. As always look forward to seeing it all again and I agree to use what you have as you have such lovely items. PS what kind of foundation do you use? It looks so pretty on you.
Goodness, you have a lot going on with the renovations and Christmas! I an ready to toss in the towel with Thanksgiving traveling and now quickly getting ready for family Christmas--THIS SAT! You do a great job; so, don't be discouraged. You have so much talent. I like that tableclothe with the blue/gray sprigs in it as it matches the sofa. The bright pillows make sofa seem duller. If you could get some blue/gray pillows for chairs that would tie in that color around, it would be an option.

Ha! One time I was helping Mom and Dad get their Christmas tree out of the box in the basement. I thought how neat this is - there are little pinecones on there! I touched one and it came off in my hand. Not pinecones but a bunch off dead mouse babies!
I think the outdoor wicker furniture looks great in the kitchen....reminds me of the Pottery Barn aesthetic from the good old days of the 90s...in regards of sticking with your current Christmas decor- Good for you! We also love Swiss Coffee featured on our kitchen's upper cabinetry with Oatcake on the brick. THe lower cabinets are wearing a miss-tint in a cobalt blue that we love, too - it's a happy room❣. All of these paints are Behr brand. For your fireplace I'd carry the messy mortar technique into the living room, as well. Love all your red and white Christmas goodies you shared! They're all the type of or onaments I need for our living room tree this year! He has created the most ancient antique authentic gilding effect I have seen in a long time . I'm mentioning this because if some one wants to update their holiday decor especially, then waxes paints glitters glitter glass are a great way to update recycle reuse ! ❣️
Who needs Hobby Lobby when they have a garage full like you do. You've probably got a wooden shelf or mantel around you could hang under the black Merry Christmas on the brick wall. And then drape some greenery with candles and such. Whatever you do will be special as always.

Red and white just feels like Christmas, right? ❤️🤍 I'll be working on that Fireplace wall this weekend. We had to buy an upright freezer and that literally took up 2 days of searching. We finally found one and had it delivered yesterday. If your husband noticed we have similar tastes, it is probably true! Oh boy where to begin? You are one busy woman! I am so excited to see your living room once it's finished. I love the direction you are going and would totally do the messy mortor to match the kitchen. If nothing else you can have that completed and later come back for changes if you decide to go a different route but I think it will be beautiful especially if you do the mantle similar to the other one you did. I have SW Lucent yellow in my den (it's a lighter creamy yellow) and though I like it very much I am considering going with SW Greek Villa after seeing a home that we did a sale for and it was that color. It's a white but very warm and very neutral. I cannot wait to see how you paint the mantle especially after seeing how you did the beautiful makeover on the electric FP mantle. I love the red and white theme pieces you shared and think they will be so nice with the birds and a more woodsy natural look. Your patio furniture set up looks great and I love all the pillows from Carolina Pottery. I love that store! I can totally relate to not finding the furniture you want. I want to change up my den furniture but have yet to figure out what I want and still can't find cozy relaxing chairs I think I can live with for the kitchen yet either. I loved these because I can add darker greens and lighter greens for a really dimensional look. That's the plan, anyway. I almost purchased the ones that are a richer green and I may still do so. At the time, I was in Fall mode. I think she has 20% off Christmas today. 🎄 I can't wait to finish the living room. It will be a lot of work over the next few days! I like where you are going with your Christmas. I love the red check pattern. I found the tea stain done better for me. I live with woods all around me with lots of critters. In my basement, I plugged in this ultrasonic things that snakes and things do not like so far so good. I purchased mine on Amazon. I thought you may get some an put in your garage and drive anything in there out before you start going through your things. Snakes creep me out. I say take your time with your purchases on furniture then you will enjoy it big when you find what you’re looking for. I don’t see anything wrong with your porch furniture in your setting area. I rather like it. The holiday time we tend to stress ourselves out and we shouldn’t. You do you and your family. Some of the best Christmas have been setting on cardboard boxes and lighting a candle and good food. It is all what we make of our situation.
I like the technique you do on the brick. I like the slightly warm tone paint not sure about the fireplace wall. I might do something different like a warm white just not sure. Whatever you decide I know it will be beautiful.
Hey Deborah!! Jill here!!! I think your home is going to be beautiful for Christmas. My living room is going to be more natural type colors. Wanting to pull out the color in my curtains. Black, gold, browns, green and a copper color. Hope it turns out as pretty as I imagine. If I were going to pick a paint color for the living room, I would probably go with a Beige or deep Ivory. Then, do a antiquing wax on the corbels and mantel. Thinking I would carry the brick look from the kitchen wall into the living room. Remembering how you did the brick in the other house. That was beautiful! And, would look fabulous with neutrals. My kitchen will be done in reds as well. SO much gingerbread stuff. It comes out every year. And, I usually enjoy it through January. We spend so much on these things. Might as well enjoy their whimsical beauty for a couple months. Many blessings! Looking forward to seeing what you decide.
Let me begin by saying I am completely intrigued with your living room renno. The wainscoting beneath the ship lap is actual wood fencing?? If so, I am bowing in the , " We're Not Worthy " style. Genius and beautiful. I now wish we had done a wood stove insert in our fireplace. We DIY converted it from wood burning to a natural gas fireplace. The mantel is lovely! You inspire me so much. I think stick with your idea of matching the brick to your kitchen. You asked about paint colors, my very favorite is Benjamin Moore's Georgetown Pink Beige. Almost my entire home is painted this color. It is a flesh tone and as the name says, in some light it looks beige and in other light it has a more pinkish tone. LOVE your Poinsettia tablecloth. Carolina Pottery is nice but I really love Olde Time Pottery in Surfside Beach, SC. Should you ever get up that way, check it out. WHEW! I am long winded today so I will say bye for now. I love your videos and your style.
I definitely should have gone a little lighter! But I thought the same thing with the guest bedroom color. Once all the walls were painted, it looked okay. Love the dark wicker in the kitchen seating area. I can imagine the little dresser or table against the brick wall with a little lamp for ambiance. Also I use those tartan plaid placemats on the back of my wing back chairs as a Christmas accent of color and pattern.Well I spoke to soon, by the end you had put a little sofa where I pictured the dresser. But I love the Christmas candlestick you painted and am going to the thrift store today to find something similar to try my hand at this. Can't wait to see the kitchen decorated for the holidays.
what about using just your white ornaments on the tree you may put in the living room? you could do crystals, snowflakes, icicles stick some extra green cedar like picks to make the tree more wispy, and you could put some bare branches in it to give some great texture, maybe paint the branches white with some sparkling glitter, or just leave them natural, some pinecones for a color contrast, maybe?
The kitchen sitting area looks so cozy! Fun to use what you have while continuing to look for permanent pieces, and to use rooms for how you like to live like having a sitting area instead of a table! When I was watching my husband walked in and said "who is that pretty lady!" So funny! Love the cats enjoying the space!

You have so many holiday items, save your money and use what you have. You're very creative you'll make it work and as always the house will be beautiful. I'm wondering if the last table cloth in the video, I think it has a holly/twig type pattern, that might be a good piece to bring the blue/gray color over near the sofa. On video the color looks right but maybe in person it's not the correct color. I also love the ship-lap panels on the fireplace wall, may try that in my house. He has created the most ancient antique authentic gilding effect I have seen in a long time . I'm mentioning this because if some one wants to update their holiday decor especially, then waxes paints glitters glitter glass are a great way to update recycle reuse ! ❣️

Who needs Hobby Lobby when they have a garage full like you do. You've probably got a wooden shelf or mantel around you could hang under the black Merry Christmas on the brick wall. And then drape some greenery with candles and such. Whatever you do will be special as always.

I feel the same way with my home, I really never follow trends unless they fit in to my love of old chip vintage antiques which is the trend now but like everything it will change but I will keep my items I have collected for years from my grandma and great grandma. I love your channel! God Bless.

Good morning, Patricia! I hope you find the perfect recliners. I've been looking for those since last year! Lol. My husband and I both like to elevate our feet when we sit. Red and white just feels like Christmas, right? ❤️🤍 I'll be working on that Fireplace wall this weekend. We had to buy an upright freezer and that literally took up 2 days of searching. We finally found one and had it delivered yesterday.

Oh boy where to begin? You are one busy woman! I am so excited to see your living room once it's finished. I love the direction you are going and would totally do the messy mortor to match the kitchen. If nothing else you can have that completed and later come back for changes if you decide to go a different route but I think it will be beautiful especially if you do the mantle similar to the other one you did. I have SW Lucent yellow in my den (it's a lighter creamy yellow) and though I like it very much I am considering going with SW Greek Villa after seeing a home that we did a sale for and it was that color. It's a white but very warm and very neutral. I cannot wait to see how you paint the mantle especially after seeing how you did the beautiful makeover on the electric FP mantle. I love the red and white theme pieces you shared and think they will be so nice with the birds and a more woodsy natural look. Your patio furniture set up looks great and I love all the pillows from Carolina Pottery. I love that store! I can totally relate to not finding the furniture you want. I want to change up my den furniture but have yet to figure out what I want and still can't find cozy relaxing chairs I think I can live with for the kitchen yet either. Well I can but not going to pay that for chairs we won't use. LOL! Anyway, love the greenery over the windows, that was a clever way to use that huge wreath. OMG, the snake! Good morning, Mary! So happy to hear from you! Yes, ma'am! I found the greenery at Sweet Simplicity. She had a few different colors and I think one that was icy. I loved these because I can add darker greens and lighter greens for a really dimensional look. That's the plan, anyway. I almost purchased the ones that are a richer green and I may still do so. At the time, I was in Fall mode. I think she has 20% off Christmas today. 🎄 I can't wait to finish the living room. It will be a lot of work over the next few days! Curtains are too cute
I like where you are going with your Christmas. I love the red check pattern. I found the tea stain done better for me. I live with woods all around me with lots of critters. In my basement, I plugged in this ultrasonic things that snakes and things do not like so far so good. I purchased mine on Amazon. I thought you may get some an put in your garage and drive anything in there out before you start going through your things. Snakes creep me out. I say take your time with your purchases on furniture then you will enjoy it big when you find what you’re looking for. I don’t see anything wrong with your porch furniture in your setting area. I rather like it. The holiday time we tend to stress ourselves out and we shouldn’t. You do you and your family. Some of the best Christmas have been setting on cardboard boxes and lighting a candle and good food. It is all what we make of our situation.
I like the technique you do on the brick. I like the slightly warm tone paint not sure about the fireplace wall. I might do something different like a warm white just not sure. Whatever you decide I know it will be beautiful.
Hey Deborah!! Jill here!!! I think your home is going to be beautiful for Christmas. My living room is going to be more natural type colors. Wanting to pull out the color in my curtains. Black, gold, browns, green and a copper color. Hope it turns out as pretty as I imagine. If I were going to pick a paint color for the living room, I would probably go with a Beige or deep Ivory. Then, do a antiquing wax on the corbels and mantel. Thinking I would carry the brick look from the kitchen wall into the living room. Remembering how you did the brick in the other house. That was beautiful! And, would look fabulous with neutrals. My kitchen will be done in reds as well. SO much gingerbread stuff. It comes out every year. And, I usually enjoy it through January. We spend so much on these things. Might as well enjoy their whimsical beauty for a couple months. Many blessings! Looking forward to seeing what you decide.

I now wish we had done a wood stove insert in our fireplace. We DIY converted it from wood burning to a natural gas fireplace.

You asked about paint colors, my very favorite is Benjamin Moore's Georgetown Pink Beige. Almost my entire home is painted this color. It is a flesh tone and as the name says, in some light it looks beige and in other light it has a more pinkish tone.

A paint expert told me to aways buy a half a shade lighter than what color you pick out to get the look you want. It works!
I definitely should have gone a little lighter! But I thought the same thing with the guest bedroom color. Once all the walls were painted, it looked okay. It seems like all the neutral colors I pick turn fleshy once they are on the walls. Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Lol. I guess we'll sew when I get the walls painted. 🤞 Xoxoxo

It seems that you have no freckles, no PIH, no age spots, no wrinkles, NO NOTHING--not just your face, but your neck as well! Is this just natural, or do you have a magical foundation that you wouldn't mind sharing with the world?
Love the dark wicker in the kitchen seating area. I can imagine the little dresser or table against the brick wall with a little lamp for ambiance. Also I use those tartan plaid placemats on the back of my wing back chairs as a Christmas accent of color and pattern.Well I spoke to soon, by the end you had put a little sofa where I pictured the dresser. But I love the Christmas candlestick you painted and am going to the thrift store today to find something similar to try my hand at this. Can't wait to see the kitchen decorated for the holidays.
what about using just your white ornaments on the tree you may put in the living room? you could do crystals, snowflakes, icicles stick some extra green cedar like picks to make the tree more wispy, and you could put some bare branches in it to give some great texture, maybe paint the branches white with some sparkling glitter, or just leave them natural, some pinecones for a color contrast, maybe?
The kitchen sitting area looks so cozy! Fun to use what you have while continuing to look for permanent pieces, and to use rooms for how you like to live like having a sitting area instead of a table! When I was watching my husband walked in and said "who is that pretty lady!" So funny! Love the cats enjoying the space!

I'm wondering if the last table cloth in the video, I think it has a holly/twig type
pattern, that might be a good piece to bring the blue/gray color over near the sofa.
On video the color looks right but maybe in person it's not the correct color.
I also love the ship-lap panels on the fireplace wall, may try that in my house.
