I have been unemployed for over a year since graduating college with honors. Applied to probably close to 400 jobs. Has led me to feel completely worthless and like a failure, and sometimes worse darker thoughts. It’s is so hard to keep going. Sending love to those that feel the same.
You aren't alone by any means, it is not your fault, it's surprising how hard it is now even for highly educated people to get hired unless they keep trying hundreds on hundreds of openings, which should not be the case at all. Companies are to blame right now, maybe the economy or overpopulation even. Even so, your occupation does not define your worth and you mean something to this world. Happened to many folks I know, fresh out of our very pricey degree. Nearly 20 years later, nobody remembers who it was that got placements right away and who took a little longer. It all evens out. You will find something, I know it!

This song helped me through a rough breakup with an abusive boyfriend. He demonized me, telling me everything I did was to somehow cause him emotional pain, even when I was just wanting support during the bad days or trying to help him. We split off several times, but I kept coming back because I missed the fun we had, but it always ended up the same, until I finally found the courage to break contact last year, and I never looked back.
That’s not to say he was the only one in the wrong, I had issues with my temper and generally expressing my emotions because of my Aspergers, but I was able to grow from it a lot, and find love again with someone wonderful and supportive.
When you feel like nobody is there to love you, or that you’re trapped in a cycle of having your feelings manipulated, know that there is always someone there for you, and always a chance to find that light at the end of the tunnel. You can do this

it was the exact same with me. this song just brings back how my heart would sink every time id have caught him in another lie. its been years since him, and i got into another very similar relationship. trying to break that pattern now, it all feels so scary right now but im sure we'll both make it out of this!!

Today I made varsity on my highschool volleyball team. This may seem simple compared to many of the other stories but to me this have my life so much meaning. I can remember being excited to start playing when I was ten and how worthless I felt up until that point. I’ve been through so much over my 15 years of life and I’ve always hated myself, but this, this one accomplishment has made my younger self feel like I have purpose and meaning. I’ve come so far even in just the past year through so many things. I’m so so proud of myself and I’m forgiving myself for ever putting as much pressure as I did on me. I’ve finally made it and I’m one step closer to meaning in my life and accomplishing my goals. I hope to share my hope and happiness with everyone. There were so many times I swore I would quit volleyball and my life and I’ve kept going and I’m so so happy I did. I want everyone here to find inspiration and give themselves a break when they have to. As I’m writing this it’s all hitting me how huge this is to me and how I finally feel again and I’m so proud and I want everyone to feel this way. Never give up no matter what. Don’t belive them when they say your goals are unimportant or you’re useless. You will pull through.

I'm tired., I thought to myself as I laid down on the floor. My vision spinning wildly and the soft hum of the breeze roaring against my ear.
I'm tired., I said to myself as I slowly turned my head to the side, seeing the empty bottle of sleeping pills that collapsed a few inches away from my hand.
I'm tired., I lost my will to live. I lost my job. My younger sister is about to be taken away from me and leave me with my father, who was never sober and never chose to be. As my eyelids slowly blinked, seeing the haze of the world around me through my glossy eyes as my breathing began to grow slower and my mind sinking into the void, I thought of one thing.
I'm tired. And I can't go on anymore.
But, as soon as I heard the creaking of the door and her voice filled with horror as she called out my name, I suddenly thought: I don't want to go yet. As she held me in her small arms while frantically calling the police for help as I laid there still, now fighting for my life, I now know one thing:
I'm tired. But she still needs me. Now, I must fight.
NOTE: inspired by true-to-life events. I'm glad that my sister and my brother keep on giving me reasons to live.

I want to give up so bad. I feel like such a burden to my family. I've got no job. No college degree. Nothing. 18 years of life and I've got nothing to show for it. I don't know what to do anymore
I learn that I have to repeat 11th grade. To be honest, I just want to give up.
The best advice I can give you is: Find a skill you're good at and improve that skill non-stop. Then go find a job using that skill. When you're so good at something, people will pay you to do that thing.
