She's so beautiful 😍❤️ I thank God I got to grow up with her and music I'm 3 months older than her. We had the best music and ethics then😊we used to go to a place on Friday night and get Pizza for a dollar and glass of beer was 10cents, and play shuffle board and put lots of quarters in the juke box and play all her music!!! Life was good!!!!! And everyone worked and had a home, family and we worked for 2dollars to 3dollars a hour.i thank God I was born in those days.🙏
I remember watching this over and over and over . . . If memory serves, this was the second performance of Solitaire (it followed shortly after her appearance on Star Search) by Laura on national TV. This brings back SO many memories of sitting in front of that TV hitting rewind. Thanks for the memories!

I love this song so much & I love Laura Branigan. I saw her in concert I was front row I saw her in Groton CT @ the sub base here in CT on July 4th 1990 & when she started singing “Gloria” she came off the stage & took my hand & brought me on stage with her & I sang Gloria with Laura Branigan herself & in front of the audience. I was 17 yrs old it was 1 of the coolest things I’ve ever done. To be on stage with an iconic singer like Laura Branigan & singing 1 of her all time hit songs.
@@runandplay no unfortunately that was my only time I got to see her & I wish I had seen her a 2nd because she was incredible & her voice was so powerful & pure. I actually tried to win & did win the tickets for me and my mom because my mom was a huge Laura Branigan fan & she is the one who turned me onto Laura Branigan’s music & I fell in love with her voice. I was listening to her before everyone knew who she was with “Gloria” I was listening to her back in 1982 & 1983 with her albums Branigan & Branigan 2 cd’s I fell in love with Solitaire as soon as my mom played it. I was 10 yrs old when her 1st cd came out, but the day of the concert my mom got sick so I took one of my very good friends. I grew up in Willimantic (When Willimantic was a great town to live in) I won the tickets on our local radio station 98.3 Wili-FM. I won tickets to so many concerts on that radio station, I won tickets to see Heart, The B-52’s, Belinda Carlisle, Chicago, The Bangles, Joan Jett & more all thanks to the radio station 98.3 Wili-FM lol it’s really cool that you saw her at the same place 1 year after me. When I won the tickets I thought I would be in the back but the person said “Follow me to your seats” I started walking & walking & walking & then they said “Here’s your seats” & I was front row. I was just so excited 🤩🥳🤩🥳

Probably my favorite song of hers. She had such an amazing voice. This performance just sounds too identical to the studio recorded version of this song to be a fully live performed version, it feels like to me.

runandplay That's true, was aired on Japan, when she traveled to promote her "Branigan 2". "Separate Ways is fantastic!, your work is always excellent. I should say that I edited the original video of "Ti Amo" on Solid Gold that had no great quality. There are many channels dedicated to Laura that are also very good but sadly now, at that moment are a bit abandoned; instead, your channel is AMAZING!, is simply the best there is on RUclips today, you have many videos and have very good quality, including many that I had never seen before. My channel is much smaller, the vids I published are the ones I found in old sites, some that I downloaded from RUclips before that were removed and also some hasn't high quality. I do what I can but I love it!, thank you!!
