Nkunku, Bruno, Quansah, and Eze are all headaches for me. I am going to just ride out a few more bad game weeks and then have a mini wildcard with 5 free transfers.
not a bad choice. Some players are more issues than others: - I do think Nkunku is an issue as he isn't even starting - Bruno/Eze just have price drop pressure but I'm still happy with - Quansah only an issue if you don't have depth in def
If i had done the -4 on deadline Salah, Isak to Smith-Rowe, Haaland i would have been top 10k in the world. But instead im 1,4mill now. Thats how much a -4 is worth. I did the calculations. Next season i won't miss something like this. Because when you get your Salah haul, its just likely that Haaland is next to haul. Its 50/50. I had the chance to get a piece of all the hauls, and i didnt. Now, im still going for the fpl win this season but i need an insane triple captain down the line, ill try to get a double gameweek Haaland haul, hopefully with more than 3 goals. Another thing i need is for Salah and my whole team to outperform Haaland teams in the next 4 gameweeks. Its still possible to win the game, but it could slip away if Salah doesnt do well the next 4 weeks. Ill try to note this down as a lesson for later seasons. This week im looking to roll to 3 transfers for gw4 when i can do Isak to Watkins if i see an option to get 0.5 from somewhere in my team. But im looking good for now. My decisions are do i bench Robinson, Porro or Armstrong. And do i captain Salah, Saka or Palmer. It's been on all the players but Salah has the most expected points, i will most likely work with the stats and keep it on Salah, but both Saka and Palmer also look good for gw3 captaincy
the thing is, -4s don't usually swing that hard and you can't set your average expectation of a hit being that good to that. Sometimes you can go for the -4 and be equally as many points down. This has happened to myself previously. It's not an experience learned imo in terms of how to treat this, otherwise you're going to think that -4s have that sort of value always (they don't). I do like your plans as things stand though.
@@FPLFran Yes, its statistcally more likely to not be worth it -4, at least in a random gameweek. But, when Salah got 14 gw1, isnt it likely for it to swing the other way in gw2. When should you usr that thinking strategy. If something swings left its more likely to swing right next round, whatever the game is. Is that a strategy, or a bad way to think? Idk, what do you think?
I was a Madueke convert at the end of last season. Nkunku pushed him out of my plans. Now I’m thinking he’s a good switch for Nkunku (WC GW6). Partly because he’s 6.4 and offsets my Quansah 0.1 loss. Can now replace Quansah with a 4.5 instead of a 4.0
I think that's totally fine if you're happy to deal with the xmins risk bonanza that is all chelsea players not named Palmer. He looked fantastic today

think it's worth separating Eze and Nkunku aha. One is a genuinely good fpl option (Eze), and Nkunku I must admit I completely missed the read on his xMins on (and is awful on the basis of mins)
A friendly tip: Mudueke is a definite starter for 6.4m, so u can switch Nkunku to him and then it enables u to change Quansah for a 4.5m defender instead of 4m. I dont have any of them but I just though why not add a little bonus for ur FPL bros😊.

I have similar transfer plans in mind with a gw6 wildcard but I probably won’t transfer Haaland out in gw5 bc I will probably want him in my WC draft and I don’t want to lose value if he’s like 15.3 at that point it’s a 0.2 loss. Will either do saka straight to son (c) or downgrade isak (or also Bruno for you) to solanke or someone and then saka to Salah (c). Also respect for the Haaland tc, your one of the only content creators on here I’ve seen with the balls to do it and I’m glad it’s payed off

Hey Fran, I have a big problem with Nkunku as I already have ESR and Rogers. Who would you advise bringing in now? I was thinking Minteh but I need them to play GW3 as well as being an option in 4 and 5 so not sure. Also, now nailed is Akanji? I was thinking Nkunku to 5.5 and Hall to a 5.5 DEF but not sure if anyone is nailed for MCI in that price range. I have Nkunku & Quansah in my squad, but I feel like I can still roll the FT because I do have solid players to rotate with both of them. Faes helped me to gain 7 points with Quansah absent, while I have TAA Saliba that's definitely going to start, and Konsa is there as my 3rd defender replacement. For Nkunku, since I've got Muniz & Rogers, I can actually keep him in bench since these 2 players are having good upcoming fixtures. My planning squad for GW3 is: Henderson, TAA Saliba Konsa, Rogers Saka Eze Jota, Muniz Isak Haaland My question is: Can I keep rolling my FT for GW3 without transferring out Nkunku & Quansah since I have a decent squad to start?

Thought on madueke? I really doubt that he would get benched as benching a player who got a hattrick sends a bad message and also a cheap entry to chelsea attack with good fixtures.
I don't see him getting benched next week either at all, but what does that say about the week after and the one after that etc. Just personally don't want to mess about with Chelsea xMins outside of Palmer but if you are confident, go for it.
Hi all, I got 100 points this week after 45 pointer in the GW1 thanks to Haaland (C), Son, Gordon, and Romero unexpected returns aswell. Thinking of Nkunku/CHO to Mbuemo and Rogers as I have two free transfers aswell.

I don't see myself dropping Eze tbh but I can understand moving Isak. Even still I'd move off on WC3 or on GW4 instead. I do think WC is viable but it is up to you, whether you think your team is actually 'bad' or not.

So I had nkunku & mykolenko both were facing a price drop, I sold nkunku for Madueke when he was 6.4m because I didn’t want to make a defensive transfer & Bournemouth home is a decent fixture for Everton it allowed me to have 0.1m itb so when I do sell Mykolenko in gw 4 i would break even, it could b down to 4.0m defender to bank 0.5m or up to a 4.5m defender does this make sense?
I have already made my FT in nkunku-winks as I am quite happy with my midfield already. But really thinking about going from Bruno-Palmer for a -4. Is it worth it even though a -4 isn't the best?

I used my WC to get rid of Saka Eze Nkunku Isak and Henderson. Replaced them with Raya Rogers Watkins Trossard and Palmer. Already have Jota Haaland Robinson Konsa and ESR! Great gameweeks ahead for my team, only Trossard is a bit of a risk

I was top 150k after GW1. I am now around 5 millionth after captaining Haaland for 34 points. 😂 How is that even possible? FFHub said my team rating was 94%. I would use the example of Son blanking vs LEI as a good reason to avoid just looking at pure upside.

Hey Fran, I have a big problem with Nkunku as I already have ESR and Rogers. Who would you advise bringing in now? I was thinking Minteh but I need them to play GW3 as well as being an option in 4 and 5 so not sure. Also, now nailed is Akanji? I was thinking Nkunku to 5.5 and Hall to a 5.5 DEF but not sure if anyone is nailed for MCI in that price range.
Edit: I don't really need money ITB so Nkunku to Szobozlai/Madueke/Bailey is always an option.

I might bench Eze yes. Close between them all. I'd personally want to bench ESR. I'd start Porro as we don't even know if Hall is guaranteed a start
I have Nkunku & Quansah in my squad, but I feel like I can still roll the FT because I do have solid players to rotate with both of them. Faes helped me to gain 7 points with Quansah absent, while I have TAA Saliba that's definitely going to start, and Konsa is there as my 3rd defender replacement. For Nkunku, since I've got Muniz & Rogers, I can actually keep him in bench since these 2 players are having good upcoming fixtures.
My planning squad for GW3 is: Henderson, TAA Saliba Konsa, Rogers Saka Eze Jota, Muniz Isak Haaland
My question is: Can I keep rolling my FT for GW3 without transferring out Nkunku & Quansah since I have a decent squad to start?

i’ve left haaland out, have an amazing team going forward and only 16 points off my mini league leader who triple captained haaland. The no haaland draft is going to work over the first 6 gws
Thought on madueke? I really doubt that he would get benched as benching a player who got a hattrick sends a bad message and also a cheap entry to chelsea attack with good fixtures.
I don't see him getting benched next week either at all, but what does that say about the week after and the one after that etc. Just personally don't want to mess about with Chelsea xMins outside of Palmer but if you are confident, go for it.
only 4 of my players returned this week 😬 but Son captaincy over Salah felt very nice and has just about saved some of my dignity.

Hi all, I got 100 points this week after 45 pointer in the GW1 thanks to Haaland (C), Son, Gordon, and Romero unexpected returns aswell. Thinking of Nkunku/CHO to Mbuemo and Rogers as I have two free transfers aswell.

I don't see myself dropping Eze tbh but I can understand moving Isak. Even still I'd move off on WC3 or on GW4 instead. I do think WC is viable but it is up to you, whether you think your team is actually 'bad' or not.

So I had nkunku & mykolenko both were facing a price drop, I sold nkunku for Madueke when he was 6.4m because I didn’t want to make a defensive transfer & Bournemouth home is a decent fixture for Everton it allowed me to have 0.1m itb so when I do sell Mykolenko in gw 4 i would break even, it could b down to 4.0m defender to bank 0.5m or up to a 4.5m defender does this make sense?

Thank you Fran. I was 50:50 Nkunku to Eze at GW2 deadline. I went Eze. Was this an error in your opinion. Obviously it could have gone better but thought Eze would haul v West Ham.
not an error at all, nkunku has turned out much worse and eze mins still good.

I used my WC to get rid of Saka Eze Nkunku Isak and Henderson. Replaced them with Raya Rogers Watkins Trossard and Palmer. Already have Jota Haaland Robinson Konsa and ESR! Great gameweeks ahead for my team, only Trossard is a bit of a risk
I wouldn't really go Trossard, think his mins are dicey. But the team is good.

I don't think we can evaluate things like that from a 1 game sample. Haaland is not essential by any means imo this season

I was top 150k after GW1. I am now around 5 millionth after captaining Haaland for 34 points. 😂 How is that even possible? FFHub said my team rating was 94%.
The only positive I can take away is that at least I am not gambling money I guess. I might just wild card by the end of the week and get back on track.
don't wildcard. This game has swings, just recognise that they do happen and that doesn't mean your team is bad. Footballing outcomes are extreme!
