This is one of the most beautiful cars ever made!
Thanks for watching.
Absolutely gorgeous. The silver metallic paint really shows off the beautiful sculpting in the sheet metal. That black dash against the red carpet and upholstery looks fantastic.
I couldn't agree more Lee. That car is gorgeous. Thanks for watching.
Silver with a red interior is beautiful exceeded possibly only by black with a red interior.
Its not a car. Its a spaceship. What a beauty. Makes you wanna weep.
Haha. Thanks for watching.
CARS FROM THIS ERA WERE WORKS OF ART....BEAUTIFUL
Right Leon. Thanks for watching.
Man do I miss the chrome. This must have cost a ton to get it to this level.Just outstanding restoration.
More than you and I know. Thanks for watching Richard.
I think car design peaked in 60. They spared no expense in the details and these still blow minds. Nice!!❤
Thanks for watching.
What a beauty!! If I owned one of these, I'd never sell it. The back seat looks like it can sleep 6 people. Magnificient!!
12 if you double up.😂😂😂
Why not throw mattresses on the hood, roof & trunk & open a B & B?
Another car I didn’t know existed. That is spectacular. I’m an especially big fan of all the interior details like the door designs and materials, the seat designs, the dash designs, controls and gauges, the steering wheels, the roof liners and the use of chrome, stainless steel and other materials. All of it. This is another beauty. The people who designed it must have been so passionate about their work.
Dad found me one for school. 1959 Convertible in running condition. $250 in early 70's. Painted it black because it was pink lol
💥🤔These car is very ugly, horripilant, look like - frankenstein- car of the year 1910
Most beautiful Lincoln I have ever seen. I'm not a fan of Silver but it looks beautiful with that red interrior. I really like it!!
Stunning restoration on a beautiful car. Love all the features, especially the power rear window. I had a vehicle with the power rear window and it was better than a sunroof. I couldn't imagine the strong presence this car would have going down the street today. Had it back then, sure as hell does now. The design on cars back then was a million times better than what you got today. That was when individual designs stood out no matter what you had. Not the copycat me too scared to do anything different designs of today. Imagine this model back in the day with suicide doors!! I know they were on the way by the sixties but still...
That Lincoln is absolutely stunning! I've owned four Lincolns in my lifetime. I was only 12-years-old when this one came out. But had I been 32-years-old (when I had the financial means) -- I would have headed straight to my local Lincoln dealer to place an order for one. And that red interior is just gorgeous. And all that tasteful chrome and chromed die cast metal -- not the plastic crap we have today.
Ya its a lot of car Walt for sure. Thanks for watching.
The design IS tasteful. Walt. I know of all the fans of the 61 minimalist slab Continentals, but what's wrong with creativity? This car is thrilling to look at in my opinion.
So graceful and it absolutely exudes quality.
You are right my friend.....this is likely the best looking example of this vehicle in the USA!! It would have been awesome to get some video of that rear window glass going up and down!! These were spectacular vehicles!!!
You're right George. Thanks for watching.
What a gorgeous car. If it was in my garage , I wouldn't ask for another thing in this life.
Your heath is more important, but a fun car for sure enjoy 8 mpg and 3 tons. The 14 inch wheels are a bit bizarre. the 60 fixed some of the "styling errors" of the late 50's designs.
Quite the restoration. Impressive!
Hi Dave. Yes it is. Even nicer in person. Thanks for watching.
Imagine a world where this is the standard of quality and expression of design...
@@beaumontmichaels3575 I agree, I was there, Dad had a'57 Coup de Ville.
I loved the auto seek radio, at night it pulled am stations from all over the world 🌎
In the early 60's a Ford Torino, I think was, midsized car crashes into the back of it at a light.
Ford was totalled, Coup de Villes bumper got scratches and moved over 2 inches.
Everything on this car is perfect!
This is seriously I think one of the most beautiful cars ever made. The only thing I don't like about these and the late 50s is that flat dash, but everything else is stunning.
Truly stunning!
Stunning!! In every way!
OHHHHHHH MMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYY GAWD that car is an ABSOLUTELY IMPECCABLE BREATHTAKING MASTERPIECE!!! My Grandmother had the exact same model but it was a '59 and in triple metallic, champagne gold and I was NUTS about it. Still am at 60..... my ultimate collector or classic DREAM car! I cannot believe my eyes at the great quality of this video that matches the MAGNIFICENT restoration of this beauty!!
Although these cars are fairly rare in good condition, they are still somewhat inexpensive, comparatively speaking. Look around online. You may be able to afford one!
I think that is the most beautiful Lincoln's I've ever seen.
Incredible restoration !!!
Yes it is Vince. Thanks for watching.
Waaaaauuuuwwww from the Netherlands, a dream, this in Europe is not seen ever 🇳🇱❤️
Hi Frank. It is rare to see here as well especially in perfect condition. These cars are extremely difficult to restore. Thanks for watching.
I always loved the 1960 Continentals. The best one of the three year style. Especially that retractable back window.
Stunning from A to Z! What a jewel 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
1960 Lincoln Continental - the most beautiful car in the world! 🤩
I recall riding in my great grandmother's Continental Mark V in 1960. She ran a date grove in what was then called the Indian Wells District of Indio, CA. The driveway from the main house was a good distance from Highway 111; and I distinctly remember my fascination with the rear windshield that retracted into the trunk area--since I was relegated to the back seat. Wow! What a car. The example in is post is a remarkable restoration effort and completely captures the elegance of the vehicle. Kudos!
That car will knock your eye out, it is so sharp!
Yes Randy this car is Beautiful. Thanks for watching.
I'm 68 yrs old & my dad had a gunmetal blue 4 door. I was born in 1955. I knew my dad loved high class cars but I really didn't know it in 1959. My dad sold it in 1965 for a Chrysler Imperial 4 door. I drove that age 16 to a drivers test and passed. The examiner told me turn to left. I did immediately & piloted it thru the narrowest of alleys. I came from a very rural area of aprox 1500 people He whistled & said wow you pass. I was only 5ft tall! These cars drove like a dream. Again I had not been aware of that at a young age. I'm happy my dad instilled in me fondness of luxury cars. My dad was my buddy. He took me on many rides. I enjoyed riding until I then was able to drive at 16. That was rare for a female. I became very good a to diagnosing & repairing at age 20. I read K C Whitney catalogs. I believe that was the name. Thank you for showing us a very beautiful car.
Wow you were a luck little girl at that time. Funny how old cars can bring back the best memories. Thanks for that story and your connection to cars like this. I enjoyed it. Thanks for watching. ❤👍
Autronic Eye headlamp dimmer on top of dash nestled into the gauge pods! Stunning automobile! Work of art! Bill
Piece of art in it's highest form
Absolutely beautiful Lincoln
What a stud! Beautiful color combo...Always thought the rear "fart window" was a very cool idea!
👍Thanks for watching.
In 3rd grade, a classmates mom drove one! The rear window was a power window that went down! Also my first intro to an am/fm radio!
I'm glad somebody preserve one of these so well. When we were kids we thought these were hideous. I even remember when the 71 Plymouth Cuda came out the automotive press criticized it as being ugly compared to the 70, that's why it's 72 they went back to the looks of the 70. Good luck today how great looking it is, it's an icon. Fashions and opinion change over time don't they
A gorgeous automobile.
What a strong economy must there have been in that year
Actually there was a recession that year.
That is probably the most stunning car I have ever seen
The good old days! What a beauty!
They still live on Lana with the hobby. Thanks for watching.
I Love the colors on this one. It looks perfect. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome Keith. Thanks for watching.
Fantastic. I suspect better paint and chrome now than when it was new!
Yes for sure. Thanks for watching.
Absolutely Stunning!! I would Love to own this one. WOW !! 😍😁
Me too Mike. Thanks for watching.
The red interior looks like wet lipstick!
😍😘‼️
Imagine seeing this at the dealership back in the day… absolutely stunning car.
For sure. Thanks for watching.
Silver with red leather interior is gorgeous. Fine car!
Now I see why the newest generation Continental was a flop, after looking at this absolute masterpiece.
Beautiful car I love it thank you for showing this beautiful video
You're very welcome Manuel. Thanks for watching.
perfect colors... that gold trim really makes it standout while still being super classy unlike "gold" trim on modern cars
It's hard to believe what you got for your money at one time. This is stunning. Imagine picking this up brand new with zero miles on it.
I would have this over ANY Car built today!💕
A shame I missed the ENM in PA for LCOC, what such beautiful cars at that indoor car show
Hi Frank. Yes it was a great show with some beautiful cars. Thanks for watching.
Silver/red interior has always been one of my favorite color combo's. It never looks bad on any model. My fav with it is a '63 Stingray coupe.
The mirror finished stainless is the best i have seen on any car , bar none
SUPER DUPER AWESOME!
This is just downright sensational!! Ive gotten into looking at old cars lately because ive started to watch old reruns of Perry Mason on Amazon and the cars are incredible to watch lol now interest in seeing them has piqued
I have said that numerous times. If they just did a retrospective or collection on all the cars on Perry Mason that would be the bomb. And the cars, if memory serves me, of all the cars when Raymond Burr whe he was on Ironside.
Best one I've ever seen. Exquisite! 💙
Me too Dave. Thanks for watching.
INCREDIBLE MASTER PIECE 🙌 👏 😍 ❤ 👌
Thanks for watching.
Hard to fathom all that car is built on a uni-body.
I don't think it looked like this Brand New. What a Beautiful Automobile
Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing, haven't seen one so nice in a great while!
Your welcome KB. Thanks for watching.
GORGEOUS! In those days, we used to make cars!!! Now, I'm not that sure anymore...
Wow that's awesome I love it so much. Unbelievable car man 1968 Continental and Lincoln right like five wow that's what you call a car man groovy dude 😎
Beautiful looking car. It looks like came out the showroom of a dealership.
I do not believe that was a factory available exterior paint or interior color - but wow is it wonderful!
That color works for me. It's so classy. Thanks for watching.
Unbelievable 👌🏻
O it's believable. Trust me I seen it in person. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful
Stunning!!
Thanks for watching.
Opulence in motion.
Very artful and thoughtfully created.
So beautiful!
Thanks for watching.
Fantastic!👌 Bravo!👏👏👏
It couldn't have looked better even in the showroom in 1960.
I agree M S. Thanks for watching.
I believe this is a Premier, not a Mark V ... All Marks were 2 door. My Dad had a '58 Mk III 2 door convertible but it was light silver blue with a white interior - and it even had the back window that went up and down. I think this was the only car my Mom ever said she liked, and we would go on Sundays to the Oh Henry hamburger drive in, get our burgers, and shakes, then go to Midway Airport to watch the planes land and take off ... Thanks for the memories!
I just rewatched the video, and indeed it says Mark V on the rear fin and Continental on the armrest ... So now I am at a loss at what a Mark is! Did they somehow use the Mark marquee differently and reuse in later years? I had a '78 Continental Mark V - the selling point was that it had 5 yards of leather - and I still have the brochure and BOS, so I know it is a Mark V. And I am all but certain that my Dad had a Mk III in '58. He also had a '56 Premier convertible which was an extremely different looking car and without all the pizazz of the '58 and a horrible coral color with my Mom's white interior.
Stunning '60 MK in Silver w/ Red leather interior.
Solemanndd67 you're right. You can't go wrong with this color. Classy and stunning. Thanks for watching.
I'm 69 and always have been a car lover and admirer. In elementary school in the very early sixties or late fifties one of my classmate's monied family had a white 2 door Mark II. I remember her mother bringing her to school in it. Now there was a car that was relatively devoid of side or any other body chrome, but dripped excellence and class. As I remember, theirs was white with the "Continental kit", of course. I knew my Cadillacs even back then, but this is another different cookie from a different MOLD! I don't know how else to describe this Mark V, except that it's a boldly beautiful luxury car. American luxury of the highest order. 😉
I agree with you Dale. For some this car is an acquired taste. In the classic car world its something different and I love it. Thanks for watching.
That color combination is gorgeous And I don’t know what happened to chrome and young people but chrome to me as beautiful
True work of art
For sure. Thanks for watching.

Cool car the rear window rolled down, for ventilation!
Yes very cool....and BIG. Thanks for watching Mike
All I can say is WOW!
I couldn't agree more Durand. Thanks for watching.
Hi Mike's Classics....I am so pleased to have found your channel. I love looking at incredibly well cared for beautiful automobiles. This has got to be up there with the best of the best. Pure elegance. Thank you Mike. If it weren't for people like yourself, us out here in far off countries would never get to see these absolute treasures. You know, we all dream of winning the lottery and if I did, this is what I would love to be the custodian of for a little while. Making sure everything that needs attention, gets attention. What an honour it would be......... Thank you Mike......if you could see my face looking at this beauty, I'm smiling from ear to ear.
I am so glad you like this car and found my channel. I just shoot what I like and I like all kinds of vehicles. Survivors to fully restored. I love em all. Thanks for watching.
I have always been a lover of cars. As a young kid, my uncles and I would watch cars drive by and identify the make, model and year. Sad that all the cars today look alike, hardly distinguishable. But, I am old enough to remember this car on the road. Back then I wished my family could afford one of these. Absolutely beautiful car!
Great story Scottie. You're right it is much more difficult today to know a cars year and sometimes its manufacturer. Thanks for watching.
Isto é uma obra de arte das mais valiosas ...
De Maringá Paraná Brasil..
They sure don't build them like that anymore...just beautiful.
Absolutely gorgeous car. Looks 100% - no doubt better than new ! Would love to drive this car but it’s too sweet for that :) 10/10 excellent work 👍🇨🇦
Thanks for watching Dave.
Thank you for a great video, what a beautiful car!
You're welcome Gil. Thanks for watching.
Off the charts!
For sure. Thanks for watching.
Absolutely breathtaking. Either you like or dislike the '58 thru '60 Lincolns. I love them, but any and all collector car fan should concede: this is an extraordinary specimen....best in the world!
I agree Steve, I can't imagine a nicer one. Thanks for watching.
Very tasteful restoration, a masterpiece
You were cruising in style in one of these cars.
Ohh dear lord , woooww!! so clean!!
When Lincoln and Cadillac owned the luxury car market, men wore suit and ties to work and women wore beautiful dresses.
Gorgeous whip 😲😍❤️💋💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🙏🙏
I've always wanted a 58 continental convertible!! It was so cool that the center of the rear window went up and down on the hard tops!
If you're not a rich man it's a lot of hard work owning a car like that!
You're not as rich after you restore it. That's for sure. Thanks for watching.
