Hi Everybody, Thanks for watching! Let me know what you think of MegaCade! What improvements I could make and is this something you would try yourself?
The LGP does work with the PC. I use it to Play VPX in VR. Just need to setup x360ce and have it running in the background. I might do a video on how to set it up.
I bought an X Arcade Tank stick Max and putting it into a Custom Arcade Cab I built from scratch. Cut the wood, sanded, etc. Made the control panel area accessible to where I can swap out the Tank Stick with a Pandora's Box Joysticks, Custom Joysticks or the Tank Stick. Out of all the Arcades I got it's the one everyone gravitates to and plays the most. Mega Cades with a huge screen are a *MUST*
I found Waldo! Who knew he was doing a X-Arcade promo. On a side note, I never had luck when my X-Arcade control panel using it with a Retro-Pie or PC build. I have the 2 player with trackball, spinner, and dedicated 4 way stick. Configuration troubles. Mostly with the trackball and spinner as well as option buttons. Had other people take a shot at it and we all tapped out. Standard joystick games do well but that’s about it.
This is a great idea! Bill's Retro Gaming Show did something similar with his Legends Gamer pedestal and the Retro Shooter console. If you're looking for an affordable way to play Revenge of Death Adder, it's one of the games Sega included on the first Astro City mini cab. I don't think the Legends Gamer Pro will necessarily work with that, but if you have an 8Bitdo arcade stick, I think that works with the Astro City mini.
I use my gamers pro with a pc. I use to use the usb plug in to the pc but lately it’s been freaking out and it automatically going through my game list by itself. So I went to Bluetooth and it works perfect with retrobat and all the pinball games
It would be great to have something like this but I can't fit a massive machine down the narrow stairwell into my basement. Machines that can be put together like 1up and the ATgames cabs are my only options unless I want to raise my house off the foundations and put in an out door recessed entrance. The massive screens of the multicades are cool for sure. But not practical and the prices for the big custom cabs cost thousands which in this economy is a no go.
Hmm - would you get rid of your ALU for this set up? I stopped using my Legends Gamer Pro when I got an ALU, but If I moved my ALU, I could mount a TV and use a stand instead with a PC.
@@Fast3ddie Any update on the Tee Box Stand and do you think the consoles will get support soon. If I can get console support and a stand I will buy asap.
Im going to be honest with everyone. I laugh behind my buddies back and so do others when they spend thousands creating a business atmosphere in their home that breaks down easily, and is toy looking. A multicide is all anyone needs. I have one friend who has over 20 machines. We avoid his place because he desperately wants us all to play his arcade when we come over. I got all those games running perfectly on my computer. I dont want to stand in front of a tiny machine to play.

MegaCade = MegaDesk
I appreciate the advice on having a good experience for less money MichaelB!
I was going to do something similar earlier in the year, except I was going to put the TV on a cart with wheels to move it as needed.
I don't see anything wrong with this. I've had something similar set up like this for maybe 5 years now. 👍🏾
Thanks for the video. I have just about all the same components except the pedestal. Been thinking of doing this for awhile now. Thanks for reminder
good pandoras box or pie and controller on a projector playing on a 10-foot screen been doing it for years

It never ends we always want more! Lol

We do have a stripped down version of the pedestal for $3,600!
Now you need to add some lightguns to the Megacade and maybe stick a mini PC behind the screen.
I use to think the atgames control decks were a good value until my CTR boards died in both decks I had.
Need a LCD marquee and a coin op topper from Joe Szabo to make it look like an arcade.
ooh nice that looks great.I might get one. need to find more room in the worlds smallest apartment lol :-)
Looks good, and great price!
Brilliant!!!!!👊🏻😎🕹️
you literally could always just make it where you box everything in into one unit

Good thoughts! 🎉
MegaCade Lives!!!
Thanks for the title
Michael B could shore horn an gamer pro into a retired ATM machine and he would have a Polycade on the cheap too!
Retrocade be like:
Noooo! Buy one from us for 7K!
We actually make a plug and play 2 player pedestal more in line with this for around $1,600. You don’t need to spend $7000 but can if you want to.
