Who do you loyalists think won?? Joker or Pennywise??? 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Joker
Joker definitely
Please play resident 5 and 6 and mafia 3
Pennywise
Joker for real, his flow was unbelievable
“We live in a society”
Dammit the meme lives on.
Oh it's no meme, it is an anthem.
Argiider Thank you
@@iturrian5990 I keep seeing that line praised, what is it supposed to mean?
It is line repeated by actual and thought of outcasts.
What kind of society?
“Ask robin if I drop bars” was the most underrated bar

Big facts
Ikr
"I leave scars, guards (skarsgard, guy who played pennywise) will admit that i just killed it"
No one is a big enough fan of dc to know joker killed Jason with a crowbar I was disappointed when they didn't get the reference

"I'm a Shining man"
That line means a lot more when you realize Jack Nicholson played Jack Napier (the Joker) in the 1989 film Batman, and *also* played Jack Torrence in the 1980 film The Shining (You know, the guy who axes down the door and says "HEEEERRRE'S JOHNNY!"), which is based off a novel by Stephen King (which he infamously despises), same as IT (which King actually loved)
Basically, Jack Nicholson is the tie between both these characters in a way
Damn.I thinked that was about the facts that Stephen King goes too far with the "scene" of the book, and Joker is not that sick(which is a little weird).
It’s that plus it’s a dig at Stephen King cause King has made it known that he hated The Shining movie. That’s why Joker says “I’m a Shining Man, wink!” Not only has he been played by Jack Nicholson but he’s cool with it.

"No one is dying to play you, except heath ledger."
That line hitted Robin, it was only lifting Jokers rap skills. Pennywise was way more savage, that Ledger line was the kill shot, honestly.
A hard to catch reference in the battle is when Joker says He Leaves Scars Guards at Arkham. Scars Guards, Skarsgård, Bill Skarsgård being the actor for Pennywise
Triset908 He also referenced mark hamill, I think the verse was “I go mark ham with Ill zingers”

As expected with this channel, they spent so much time shrieking about major bars that they miss some of the notable smaller ones. I used to watch this channel's Death Battle reactions but they spend so much time during those babbling that they miss important information, it's kind of sad to be honest.
I own the comic the death in the family not to be confused with death OF the family. The comic where robin aka Jason Todd was beat with a crowbar then blowed along with his mom

Heath Ledger died in 2008 after being Joker in The Dark knight. He was accidentally overdosing himself with sleeping pills (correct me if i‘m wrong)

I like how defensive joker was over batman 😂
“Don’t touch mY bat”
Nemisis 007 do you have an ifunny account you got top comment in
I didn't think the joker would care about batman.
He can't live without batman😂
The Joker has stated through several incarnations that only he can kill and/or mess with Batman. He will completely wreck anyone else who messes with Batman. Batman is HIS nemesis. The Joker is incomplete without him.
Even then, he doesn’t want to kill Batman, either. He needs Batman as his foe to push him further, which in turn pushes Batman further, which pushes Joker forward, etc.
If someone like Bane or Poison Ivy killed Batman, I can bet The Joker would kill them for killing him.
"Jared Leto came out looking like he was Tekashi 6ix9ine"-YES YES YES
Hahahahahahha
I swear I wheezed
Lmaooooo
despite joker being just a human, he has done way scarier things than pennywise ever did
I mean, Pennywise's whole thing is eating children and he got away with it for centuries.

That crowbar line hurt us jason todd fans😭 they ain't even gotta do him like that

@@eojhuk yeah the fans did Jason dirty in that poll to choose if he lives or dies
"Beep beep. You're a John Doe in my deadlights" I feel that this bar is going over A LOT of people's head. Reactors included. Which is a shame, because its crazy.
First off, its a play on words for " A deer caught in headlights". Because deer are known for freezing and being hit by cars, due to the headlights.
'Doe' is a term for a female deer, basically calling Joker the deer while the 'Beep beep', means that Pennywise is the car.
John Doe, is a reference to the Joker in Telltale's Batman game. But 'John Doe' is also literally a legal term for unknown parties for documentation. No one knows who Joker actually is, making him literally unknown. Which in this context, Pennywise is calling him a nobody.
Deadlights are the three round lights that Pennywise uses to capture anyone that happens to look into them. Which basically ties in to the whole headlights bit and how deer look into those.
This bit alone is just crazy with the word play while also just saying that Joker will be a nobody that he kills.
Alphazone still think the joker won
Not only that. Pennywise's Deadlight's, as far as I know (I haven't watched any of the IT movies or read the books), functions as his means of exposing his victims to their worst fears. "you're a John Doe in my deadlights" is also a reference to the Arkham Knight comics and video game, where Joker's greatest fear was revealed: the fear of being forgotten/turning into a nobody.
Pennywise said beep beep richie to finn wolfhard
Yeah. I notice the one too. It was a deep play on words
Also "beep beep" is something the losers club would say to richie when he talked too much, which pennywise says in both the original tv series and remake when richie encounters him.
He's legit saying that Joker needs to shut up because he's a nobody.
"ask robin if I drop bars" that one hurt. Joker beat robin to death with a crowbar...
The heath ledger one hurt more
Bino Virex ofc
That Robin came back to life, so...not that good of a burn.
cory6266 no it still was a very good one. Just Bc he got brought back doesn’t change the fact that he literally beat him to death with a crowbar.
And the fans VOTED FOR IT TO HAPPEN. Readers HATED Jason Todd.
“You lost to a turtle, who wasn’t even a ninja” DAAAAANG!!!
That shit was weak to me because the turtle was actually a god
Castle Corn I feel like it goes because he called him a sewer troll right before that. I mean, if you live in the sewers, the only turtle you should be worried about is Raphael 🤣
Maybe it was a ninja
That was a reference to the TMNT, I must add.
ScoutTrooper164 “it’s like cocaine”
Oofers bro
I love how when the Heath Ledger bar drop everyone I've seen pretty much states "i feel attacked and that hurt me in my soul"
He’s overrated though.
That Heath Ledger line is the grimiest one in this whole thing. Nobody escapes the pure pain that one causes. That bar had me stunned for a good while after I heard it
My heart sank it really was so painful and it still hurts a lot. 😞
It's up there with Clint Eastwoods (vs Bruce Lee) "I'd beat you in round two, but that'd be unbelievable.
No one in your family ever lives to see a sequel."
And Cleopatras (vs Marilyn Monroe) "You've lost so many babies, we should call you Miss Carriage!

1. “This battles like Poker, the joker is useless, winnings not in your cards, call me Arkham Asylum, I’m crazy with bars” this is actually a double verse, and a play on words.
“You jester, I’m Montresor, ‘bout to make you my Fortunado, and seal this battle up like it was the Cask of Amontillado”
This is by far the best line in the entire rap,
A. This is a reference to one of Edger Alan’s Poe poetry works, where a Montesor is basically the victimizer (murder) of the Fortunado.
B. This is a reference to Edger Alan Poe and Stephen King going up against each other in a earlier ERB.
“You got beat by the Scooby gang”
A. This is a callback to when Joker insulted Pennywise about being killed by a bunch of children, when the Joker himself got beaten by a bunch of children as well. (The cast of Scooby Doo, which was a real episode that aired, and at the time the Scooby doo cast were all minors.)
This is probably the most intense rap battle in history

"Ask Robin if I drop bars"
Like god damnnnn
Can u explain that because im dumb and i dont get it😂
@@dominiktrojniak979 In "A Death in the Family" (very important batman comic), Joker essentially beat Robin to death with a crowbar.
In the background when he says that line, you can see Joker swinging down his crowbar the same way he did in the comic.

"No one is dying to play you...... Except for maybe Heath Ledger!!!"
You know how I got these scars?....... That joke...... That joke..... Right there...... rip
No one ever catches that when Pennywise says "You're supposed to be the man who laughs" its a reference to the 1928 film "The Man Who Laughs" which was inspiration for the joker.
"cuz you know I don't read."
This quite defines my entire existence.
„I take smiles snd I leave scars, guards (Skarsgards) at Arkham“

Love the wordplay but almost everyone misses that line tho.
That one went over a lot of heads
“Jared Leto came out trying to look like he was Tekashi 6ix 9nine”
😂That’s a good one I’m not going to lie😂
I like how in every reaction I've seen, everyone doesn't see the The Killing Joke reference when Joker says he "just killed IT"
nah we notice, its just not worth mentioning with all the lines comin. Like that whole Cask of Amontillado bit, which is a Edgar Allen Poe analogy i still don’t fully get
@@ozu2647 Because the joker = a jester, which rhymes with Montressor, Fortunado was another character from this story. basically (and I can't remember which name is which character atm) He lures the other one underground into a private cellar where he has a cask of Amontillado (expensive wine iirc). When he goes to drink it he gets knocked out and bricked in to slowly die alone underground, hence the "seal this battle up" line. It's one of my favorite Pennywise lines but I still have it to Joker
They don't react to ask Robin if I drop bars
This is currently my favorite Epic Rap Battle of History. The music was great, the lyrics were great, the costumes were great, and the impersonations were great!
Moment of silence for Heath Ledger please....
Rip ☹️🙏🏻😢Heath Ledger
"I take smiles and I leave scars, guard..." Bill Skarsgard ah!
Pennywise: nobody’s dying to play the joker
Boi he about to say it
Pennywise: except for maybe Heath Ledger
🅱️OI HE SAID IT!
3:01 I like that part bro
4:00 I'm sorry but how the Joker was defending Batman was amazing. I love BatJokes
Awkwardlife 18 same, I got excited hhahaha
They have a very interesting relationship there is a comic series where Batman is actually insane but he keeps joker around because they basically only keep going for each other
You missed the "Ask Robin if I've got bars" line, Joker wins on that.
How? The quote is not as fire as it used to be considering the fact that, that same robin got resurrected and beat the shit out the Joker.
@@dragonthunderx3250 So you're going to tell me that a lunatic of a serial killer, referencing his most brutal kill isn't badass? Not to mention it stacks on top of the other great amounts of wordplay and sneak disses the Joker worked into his performance. If it had been countered by bringing up Todd's resurrection that's one thing. But it wasn't, so that point is mute.
G.A. Reynolds I don’t think it’s a winning line due to all the other fire lines they both shot out but it was definitely a hard hitter.
G.A. Reynolds because it’s not impactful anymore. Hell its not even the most gruesome thing Joker has done anymore. The shit he did to Superman in the Injustice Comics, trumps that by a long shot.
Regardless, Pennywise trump that with the mentioning of Jared Leto and the death of Heath Ledger. Things that people still feel the effects of to this day.
@@dragonthunderx3250 nobody gives a fuck about Leto's joker, that shit was forgotten the moment the movie came out. The battle was good, joker won period.
4:58 it’s from Edgar Allen Poe’s story when Montresor wants to get revenge on a jester who made fun of him by burying him alive and when pennywise said “you’re about to fall from a new height” is a reference from the killing joke when joker fell into the vat of chemicals
2:58 See this? This right here was my favorite moment in the entire Reaction
I feel like pennywise won but that heath ledger one hurt everyone
Edit: thanks for almost 600 likes!!
Just fucked up really...
Screamskull25 I don’t get the heath ledger bar can u explain it to me?
No Flex heath ledger committed suicide shortly after he played the role of joker
@@noflex7403 ledger died while playing joker, he couldnt sleep so he mixed sleeping medications and it ended up overdosing him, which many attribute to him playing the joker in method way. which isnt true but society deems it as such.
For real
"Ask Robin if I drop bars."
Oh god. Joker wins. Holy shit. That's a reference to Jason Todd's Robin who was MURDERED by Joker with a crowbar. BTW that comic is an AMAZING animated film called "Under the Red Hood" and Jensen Ackles plays Jason Todd he's stunning. Also I REALLY like those Edgar Allen Poe references in the Cask of amontillado line. Oof.
Robin isn't a real person. The heath ledger line hit way harder than that because that's actually a real person.
@@decepticononline564 The line hits hard because while he isn't a real person, people still connect with fictional characters so it hurt. And it also hurts cause Batman was RIGHT THERE but just barely couldn't get to Robin in time. It sucks. But yes that line also hurts as well damn.
@@decepticononline564 so joker and pennywise are real people?
Ace Coordinator Mary it’s not that impactful, if this was a joker Vs Batman maybe. But that line has nothing at all to do with penny wise. Don’t get me wrong it’s a good bar, but not his best one
It can never be said enough: you two are adorable together. Keep the love alive guys ✌️i'm happy for it's success.
Funny, nearly every one of those reaction videos, no one ever mentions the line "you are supposed to be the man who laughs" .... The DC comic character "Joker" was originally inspired by the look and performance of a forgotten film star, Germany's Conrad Veidt, in a 1928 film adaptation of Victor Hugo's "The Man Who Laughs." In the film, the laughing man is disfigured with a permanent grin on his face so that he will "laugh forever at his fool of a father," Lord Clancharlie (also played by Veidt), an enemy of King James II who is sentenced to death.
When Pennywise says:"You're a John Doe in my deadlights" that's a reference to the Telltale games Joker.
Oh
Blue jay3022 It’s also reference to a legal term for a missing or dead person’s who’s name is unknown. Also also, it’s a reference to a female deer getting hit by a car. Also also also, the dead lights is something that Pennywise uses to bring out people’s fears in the It book/Movies/show..

Hany Haba After sending It down the well in the sewers, the Losers Club gets lost trying to find their way out. Then, they all decide to run a train on Beverly in an unnecessarily detailed scene. Keep in mind, they are all around 13 years old at the time and this scene was supposed to be “their transition from childhood to adulthood due to loss of innocence.” King himself regrets writing this part of the novel.

Half of Joker's "bars" showcased how powerful It is. "You lost to a turtle who wasn't even a ninja!" aka he lost to Maturin, an omnipotent unkillable god turtle. "You lost to a herd of nerds who called themselves the loser's club!" aka he lost to a group of perfectly selected kids who completed an ancient rite of power. "They all float says the quote, but your films they all sink!" The original IT miniseries is one of the most beloved miniseries of all time, and both modern movies have done better than most Joker related properties. "You're 3 nightlights in a cloud!" aka one of the basic forces of death in the universe. "When I compare your antics to the fiendish schemes I revel in" Excuse me, IT literally has decade spanning plans corrupting souls and working on people's deepest fears, sometimes hundreds at once. "Don't you lay a finger on my bat you little freak!" and bam, that's the final nail. IT has touched the Joker's greatest fear, and all Joker can do is utter a threat nobody on Earth could follow through with. It was over LONG before that, but that was the official death knell.
Being more powerful has literally nothing to do with the rap battle though. He had worse bars and lost
Omg... I was waiting for you guys to do this!!!! Ever since I saw joker va penny.... dying to see this from y’all. Thank uuuuuu....
