I'm having a concert tomorrow and this is one of the songs and this song is my fav!!
By chance, did you participate in the summer music camp at Augusta University? Our concert took place on the same day.
@@ammoniumlactate5640 Yep!
Our school got a superior on this song
2024 anyone
My middle school band got top out of 3 states, we played Black Forest and above the world in competition
No dynamics for some reason and way rushed. Other than that great job
THE EUPHONIUM OMG THEY DID SO WELL! I get to play this song for a competition
We are playing this for our school concert very soon and we just can't seem to get it right!!!
Loved playing this song when I was in band. They did an amazing job!
Wtf was the squeak. Ok tempo but when fast notes too long. Dynamic range not shown. If this was at a festival and I was a judge I would rate good, but not excellent or superior.Doesn't show too much depth.
does the setting remind anyone else of Hogwarts?????
Invisible Princess I guess... there’re both schools...
Wtf is Hogwarts
No
Holy moly, great job!
we did this for school. our tempo was 175
Belle Doss one...seven..ty....FIVE?
DAMN
As a bass clarinet player the only thing I would say is may e slow down the song just by like 5 BPM so each part is heared because I don't hear very much of the bass/Backround of the song which for those who don't know is basically the audio que for the trumpets as they play right when the low brass and low wind stop
Wow, really good
We are playing this in October and I’m so nervous cause my band sucks at this somg
my band got play black forest overture before last time
Now we are playing future of tomorrow and spania for syf next month
Hmm I noticed that late F note for the timpani and how fast was the tempo for the percussion solo? Sounded perty fast. But overall it sounded pretty okay lol
The tempo was weeeeey to fast. Holy cow!
Skatingpanda_ 17 Thats the tempo, my band class is doing this song (I play the Timpani on it) and the tempo changes from fast to slow. In the first 8 measures of the song, it's usually pretty fast.
Skatingpanda_ 17 the tempo is that fast written (I play flute) if you look at the music it is that fast
Joshodude I play timp on it too
I looked at this to look at my competition music for middle school and I'm gonna say not that shabby. Their tempo was really fast. I would suggest have them all tap their foot to get them all in with the tempo
Tapping their feet won’t do much, in fact it’ll just add something on top of reading your music, and moving your fingers. Best to look at the conductor. I always find foot rappers to cringe me. Anyway, foot tapping in this tempo is just plain useless.
That's the written tempo. Ok maybe it was kinda fast second time through
They didnt do the LOUD quiet
Mr Donut You mean Dynamics?
Mr Donut not its Fp aka Forte Piano
My school has to play this at mtsu which is a college
it sounds great they tempo is a little fast though
What version is this? there's two of them.
*dies* That's WAY better than my middle school's symphonic band 0-0 GG
Well, it's ok... No dynamics, trumpet solo is a bit fast, the. After the solo, it's EXTREMLEY fast... Needs work.
Yea the trumpet solo they kinda scooped the first not and they didnt do the forte piano in the beginning
Note*
it is fine you need to go because is a hard piece
you need to go fast
Nathan Miranda Thanks for the good criticism it's nice to see some correct criticism being giving because alot of ingrorent people in the comment section are really rude and saying stupid stuff like oh they sounded bad, or omg the clarenet that sqeaked sucked.
The Bari Sax part at measure 34 was non-existent
*that is a major problem*
Where is measure 34
Why does everyone play the snaredrum part 1st and 2nd time, it's 2nd time only
It's written "play both times" if you are referring to measure 33
sounds very good / more dynamics please those trumpets need to come in ff in the beginning and also way to fast
Are these like 11 year olds?
Madison Snoes the tempo was right but i agree with you about clarinet
Aric Anderson tempo to fast listen to the real song
extremely too slow at the start
If you compare it to a professional recording it's only a bit under.
+AssassinManPlays it is supposed to be ff
where are the articulations I'm in 7th grade and I play it right oml.
Cause like there better than my symphonic band which is made up 11 year olds
Wrong notes and a squeak on the clarinet melody
i performed this piece and we dis it much slower. they could have been more slowed down cause the song is more slow than fast but good job
At the end the kid playing the cymbal. Wow so ... underwhelming
To slow im the beginning, then rushed the rest of the way thru!
It's good, but I'm not hearing the written dynamics in the piece. Like at measure 5, the trumpets are supposed to cresindo gradually up to measure 9. The solo at measure 48 is abit fast than it should be. However, it was great.
The trumpet solo was to low pitched and needed to be sharper
microphone from 1932
more low brass man
my school music department can play this much faster
rushed like every middle school band
this is better ghan my band byt beacause we have nine oeople
No offence but female conductors got the worst sounding bands
OtakuFromJupiter I don't think it's the students think it's just the effort. You also have to consider that they are nervous by how fast they play so I wouldn't be too hard on them.
Isn't that a stereotype?
you should see our band, we have one of the best female conductors
you’re just jealous because they sound better than you
