Natural sounding dialogue is challenging to write. I had a creative writing professor in college assigned students to write down an overhead conversation. It does help to listen to people talking, and transcribe it.
Absolutely! Also, I read everything I write aloud and if it sounds at all awkward, make the adjustment! It helps to listen in on random conversations for sure.
This is one of my fav videos on the internet, and the fact you sat down and broke it down piece by piece and also used it as a teaching point for writing is incredible! Love it

Oh wow! My neighbors had a wisteria in their yard that never bloomed. Made its way to our side of the fence & gave us the most beautiful blooms. Guess it liked us better. Same thing with the cat. Probably liked the cat pervert better. The cop’s side of the interaction is probably hilarious 😂
