Nate’s right about staying after to socialize and drink. Some of my biggest results came after doing just that. Mainly, liver disease
This is great. I’m grateful he was asked. His answers are solid.
I am about 2 months in. And he’s right about feeling comfortable. I started to think i found a voice in myself of goofiness and turned out it works only for about a minute. But now i have a solid opener from 2 months. Time to get a solid minute. Once you do that. Solid 3-5 minutes. Getting a good 10 minutes might take a year or year and a half depending on how hard you work.
What city are you starting in

Im a year and a half in and i have a pretty decent 10 minutes and a solid 5 minutes, but i have friends who did it with me that have 15, it just matters about how much you go out and how much you write, thats truly it, ANY idea you think of, write it down!
@@NFstruck3nhow’s it going? I’m in Dayton too and I’m going to do an open mic at Wiley’s in a month, but I might head to an open mic in Springfield tomorrow to test some material. Any advice for our area?
@@kylechalmers1722do their contest and also do Cincinnati, great scene there. Leon Kimbrell and Ran Barnaclo are super funny dudes from Cincy.

Then again I doubt you could even name 20 comics off the top of your head... Only the best of the best. Are rly' recognized in this industry
You must be a youngin'. I remember Nate from when he was a baby faced kid on Comedy Central. He just hosted SNL. It was a great episode. I was shocked to see SNL was even on the air still.
He's one of the best comics we have right now. Look up any of his specials and you'll see why. AND he's clean.
@@ClearYourCanvas Clean comedy IMO is the best! It's way harder to get laughs.
