When I was a teenager, I rested my bare foot on the bottom of an old metal fan and then stuck my hands in the sink full of dishwater. I lit up like a Christmas tree. My whole body shook and I had to struggle to pull my hands back out of the water. Here we are many years later and I’m perfectly fine. No worries, Dave. 😂
The funniest thing is that the Commonwealth Picker is a larper. He larps as a southerner. With the banjo music and the southern accent, you wouldn’t know the only kind of southerner he is is a southern Californian. 😂
This episode had some of the best lines, but Dave wins with the "Dawn's not allergic". However everyone this week had gems, will have to rewatch to catch them all.
Living in a rural area I typically have to drive an hour or more. Found a new estate sale company that does sales usually Thursday-Sunday. So far has been well worth the drive. If I have extra time I’ll check out what thrift stores are around.
When I first started reselling about four years ago, I sold a Magnavox VCR DVD combo. I shipped it through FedEx because it was one dollar cheaper than UPS and a couple weeks later FedEx charged me an $80 supplemental fee for a 1 inch adjustment.
I just had UPS charge me $70 extra for shipping. I weighed the package at 89 LB but they said it was 129# and was off an inch on dimensions. There is no way I could've been that far off. On ebay there is no way to dispute it. It was a 27" crt tv I shipped.
I got a shocker from FedEx nowhere near $1400 but still I will not use them ever again. Buyer paid $18 shipping which was correct for the weight but it was too tall (it was a 20 inch tall box) and I got charged $32 on top of the buyer’s $18 😮😮😮
Driving an hour away for an estate sale depends on who is running the sale. Some estate companies are ridiculously priced first day and will not negotiate so not worth going out of my way
Can confirm from Wisconsin. Picking here is GREAT because I don't have much travel. Population of Wisconsin is almost 6 million. If I drive an hour west or 30 minutes north or 30 minutes south, I have roughly a total population of 2.75 million to pick from. If I travel 45 minutes south, I hit the Chicago Metropolitan Area which has a population of 9.5 million. It's why I have like 50 Goodwills in a short driving distance from my house. It's always why I have ~100 rummages during rummage sale season on YSTM. Feel bad for Kevin and Carey for all the travel they've got if there are no sales immediately nearby.
I scored a huge lot of Monster Jam trucks with the fold out arena last weekend. I broke up the sets and sold Fire and Ice for $50, Scooby set of 2 for $20, and a large set with the arena for $65. I still have a whole set of Megladons and another set of 5 listed. So Monster Jam was good to me this week!
I always do Thursday and Friday sales. Saturday always seems picked over. I tried to only go to Saturday only sales. But typically only getting a couple sales on Thursday I can load up the vehicle on one or two sales. My theory is if they’re starting on Thursday and they’re going to have a 3 to 4 day sale it’s going to be awesome.
I agree with Cary so long as you put good items up on eBay that people want and at a good price it's going to sell. How you determine what's going to sell well you could look at sell through rate but I don't. I've sold items with poor sell through rate and with no sell through rate. I would like to think I've developed a sixth sense when it comes to knowing what I can sell.
Lol Dave, I do the same thing . I annoy people in my life when I have an awesome day of picking , I just get too happy but they just don’t care about my awesome picking story. Lol Just have to be a picker to understand
Dave If your stuff isn't selling on eBay, you need to check your prices. What are people charging for the same exact items you are trying to sell? Unless someone is a viewer, they will not want to pay a premium for your items. You should also adjust your handling time from 3 business days to 1 business days. You're competing against other sellers who ship the following day. As a buyer, I would never buy something from a seller who needs three business days to ship my item.
Price is something to look at but shipping times is not a problem. Most buyers don't even look at shipping times. With 1 day shipping you risk getting more late shipping defects on your account.
@@ebayvideo6383 There's no reason you cannot ship something the following day, especially if you are a full time reseller. The first time a buyer experiences a seller who has a 3 business day shipping policy, they learn how to spot it and how to avoid those sellers.
I get burn out when it comes to pickin sometimes especially when I already have 6,500 items listed. Sometimes I just spend the time to optimize my listings, sell similar and run sales.
I have a booth, I will bring my "stale inventory" home and put it in my yard sale with my booth tags on it. I sell it typically for 40% off booth prices and sell about 75% of it that way. I don't think it's impossible to sell stuff for 40% off of you market it right. Might not be sold to resellers but others will buy it.
Cary is right. List something people want and it will sell. The market does change so something that used to sell. may not be in demand today. Keep up with the marketplace or suffer Blockbuster fate. I say Blockbuster because they could have bought Netflix early on but declined.
Anyone can give CPR and you don’t need to do mouth to mouth. In my state if you help a victim and something goes wrong you are not liable. I guess people have fear of helping because of liability. My family and I attended a CPR class.
9 1/2 Weeks was sorta like 50 shades of Grey. Before the Internet it was essentially porn but Rated R. So people, like your suburban mom, could rent it and not go into the back room porn section of your local video store. Basic Instinct was a similar movie.
I like both the TTC and PPP reselling podcasts. The locker room podcast not so much. I like to listen to Joe Rogan first and get that little testosterone spike early in the morning then I put you guys on after
Why are you only concerned about FedEx? USPS and UPS also do adjustments when you use the wrong dimensions. Why are you not going at the guy for trying to put in the wrong dimensions and cheat FedEx?

I would like to note that I made a short called "Explaining What Larping is to the Commonwealth Picker!" nearly 2 months ago!
Most larping is done with pvc wrapped in foam. I invite all of you especially Dave to try Buhurt when you guys come to California 😁
They have explained it to him on this very podcast haha 😂
The funniest thing is that the Commonwealth Picker is a larper. He larps as a southerner. With the banjo music and the southern accent, you wouldn’t know the only kind of southerner he is is a southern Californian. 😂

For Kevin to turn off his camera, I agree that was the best one liner 😂
I laughed this whole episode! Great job guys!
The second Cary said Pat Riley I immediately thought cocaine as well lol
lol
"and dogs aren't allergic to it!" - oh my god, I am dead 🤣

This may have been a record in Trash to Cash history on the amount of times Kevin sighed lol
Great episode 😂 Loved the edit ending- Dave completely cutting Carey off mid sentence 😂
My favorite Kevin label is still "octagenarian" 😂

Always happy when a new show comes out!! Can't wait to see what Dave is going to say!!!❤

I feel Dave on the wanting to tell people about sourcing finds. And then I watch friends and families eyes glaze over
Such a good episode! Finally a lot of picking content and less making fun of Kevin! A perfect amount of comedy and good info!!

Hey Dave- there was an ad during the video for an amusement park! Coincidence or … 😂😂😂
they charged me 30 originally and 50 extra for a 5 ounce differnce on weight AND there was a broken 3 pcs of the 12 items in the package..or china
I was back charged $30 by FedEx this week for an item I shipped on April 3. It was a medium sized item. Something is going on with FedEx.
Dave and the Urban Decay powder 😂
Dogs aren’t allergic to it! That was amazing
Who has been playing the Cary "Adapt" drinking game? 😂
You guys cannot talk about food at the end of the podcast! Now I'm hungry 🤣
Awesome show guys!
That book sale sounds amazing!
Can someone make a video “explaining the Kendrick Lamar - Drake beef to the Commonwealth Picker”
Who?

fedex just charged me an extra $35 for using a poly bag on a backpack I shipped out in.That's the last for fedex
😮😮😮😮😮
You guys are hilarious!
For cards outside of Magic cards I have a bunch of labeled 75 card boxes and each one of those boxes is a location.

Dave, are you going to go back and pay more for the shirts since they were worth so much. 😉
My sales are still waaaaay down. And I’m listing every day. ☹️
The spotify episodes are off weeks
That is it I am moving to Florida.

Love you guys
Oh man, we sell tons of books on Amazon. That would have been a great sale to go to
I get burn out when it comes to pickin sometimes especially when I already have 6,500 items listed. Sometimes I just spend the time to optimize my listings, sell similar and run sales.
I agree. People want to watch real people. And I’m not real enough. You guys are funny.
You are correct Dave…no more mouth to mouth for resuscitation….just the chest compressions

Kevin goes old school...Zamfir (pan flute)
Jeremiah's is fantastic!
I paid 8.00 for a Heineken and 40.00 for a large all meat pizza at my local restaurant last week, in San Francisco
Cary is right. List something people want and it will sell. The market does change so something that used to sell. may not be in demand today. Keep up with the marketplace or suffer Blockbuster fate. I say Blockbuster because they could have bought Netflix early on but declined.
Just smile and wave Dave, smile and wave. :)
Dave, Hobby Lobby sells different sized wooden balls in the craft area. Easy fix
Dave is correct, mouth to mouth is no longer a thing. Sounds like it's time for 3 particular dudes to get CPR certified. 😁
48 minute… legendary
Cary said resellers wake up early for a light run, not likely!
Maybe a light run to Krispy Kreme on their way to the bins.
Cary you should only sell Gretzky, Mantle, Jordan, and Jim Brown rookies in your auction
eBay slow ESTY took off last week
your guys bragging helps us learn so keep it up 😂
Reseller here in Miami we are full here don't come. LoL JK yes FedEx has done in to me twice now
Anyone can give CPR and you don’t need to do mouth to mouth. In my state if you help a victim and something goes wrong you are not liable. I guess people have fear of helping because of liability. My family and I attended a CPR class.
I’m liking Cary more. 😅
So cool 😎

Really? Kevin can’t go for one podcast with the urge to put the pouch in??? What’s next…a “dip cup” out in the open for all his RUclips shows?
“…you’ve just got to decompress after…”, ADHguy. Really? Your entire life seems like ano going “decompression stage”. lol 😝
Why are you only concerned about FedEx? USPS and UPS also do adjustments when you use the wrong dimensions. Why are you not going at the guy for trying to put in the wrong dimensions and cheat FedEx?
Because FedEx is the worst offender and for insane amounts.
❤
Can anybody hook me up with an American bubble boy code? I tried Commonwealth and they actually added $20 to my bill.
Definitely great prices
lol no codes for bubble wrap just he tape.
Josh Galt is a joke, don’t listen to anything that guy says lol
First!
Dave, you would only really have to worry if you have a pace maker, should have fully recovered by now.
