Nice, fair (and diplomatic...) review. In the UK this lens is the same price a the Sigma 56mm which is crazy, and twice as much as the Viltrox 56 1.4 which is the one which suits my budget and use case. Thanks for all your help in making these sorts of decisions.
Hello Dustin, thank you for another great video review. One question: what do you think about using this and the 75mm Snipers for studio photography (headshots and family photos)?
I am beginning photographer on a budget and I find your videos extremly informative. It is really useful that you photograph the same objects/landscapes with different lenses. I am shooting on Nikon Z fc and I think these lenses might be more useful on Nikon Z mount due to crop/full frame factor. Vignette seems to be small on a full frame sensor and full frame 1.2 af for 300$ is a bargain (when you upgrade your camera to FF). Many people repored that these lenses "grind" fuji x mount. It would be a dealbreaker for me but I have no problems on Nikon Z mount. I already bought 23 and 56mm snipers and Im quite happy with my results. I really like this low contrast 1.2 pictures. Af also seems to be better on Z mount. I consider buying 33mm but even 56mm flares are annoying to me and 33mm seems to be worse. I don't mind chromatic aberrations. Overall, videographers seems to be far more happy with this lenses than photographers (4k full hd video uses only 8megapixels). My beginners set is: Nikon Z fc, 16-50kitlens, Viltrox 13mm/1.4 and 75mm/1.2; sirui snippers 23 and 56mm + TTArtisans 17mm/1.4, 35mm/1.4, 40mm macro and AstrHori 50mm 1.4 tiltlens. For me its more than enough for start. Thank you for your videos, Merry Christmas, best wishes from Poland !
Forgive me if I missed it, but do you know how much of the full frame sensor this covers? I love my sigma 56 1.4 because it covers most of the full frame image circular with recoverable vignetting in the corners. If this did the same, the extra 3rd stop of light would be nice. Kind regards, Ben.
Conclusion: If you where just a bit more diplomatic you'd be running for office. In essence, a shitter shilled by bought influencers. Thanks for again a honest and useful (yet too diplomatic) review. P.s. I need to go unfollow some channels now...
Funny, I watched the release of these 3 lenses on several channels and they all avoid the bad stuff so I unsubscribed from them. The only other channel that said the truth was Goughie so I'm still subscribed to him.
Yes, some of it is diplomacy, but part of it is the reality that I have learned over the years that not all photographs have the same priorities as me. I try to be open to the different things that other photographers appreciate.

This basically has the opposite set of strengths as the Sigma.

I’m glad the lenses are working out for you
WOW! I'm a Filipino and was surprised to see our Php 50 bill in your image sample. :D :D :D
Hello! Tell me which is better - Viltrox Pro AF 75mm F1.2 or Sirui Sniper AF 56mm F1.2
The Viltrox is WAY better, though the new Sniper 75mm F1.2 is also much better than the 56mm.
How do you compare this lens with Viltrox 27mm f1.2 lens? Other than the focal length difference?
The Viltrox is infinity better, in my opinion.

You could test that on a Sony E-mount, but I tested on Fuji, so that's not an option.
@@DustinAbbottTWI my apologies, missed that, watching with subtitles at work haha. As always, appreciate your time and effort!!

Can I use this on a Sony A7 iii?
yes, so long as you get the Sony e-mount version.
