I love these tofu runs. It's cool that they all got different voices! I have no idea what they're saying (yet, aside from the one you explained) but their voice acting has so much personality. And of course the background music is great. I can't wait to be able to play this game for myself!
Just watching Tofu dodge zombies was so much fun in remake2. I never got to this because i couldn't pass the ghost survivor mode and I'm a little sad you won't be doing them but I understand. It was such a fun time to watch you do Tofu's scenario however.
Nice run Carci it looks like it was a real challenge. The Licker tethering is interesting because that hallway doesn't seem all that much longer then the hallway with the 2 Lickers in the lab in the main game.

Ok that's the last one I finally got through all five Tofu runs; Your run style helped I just deferred to blasting kneecaps to disable temporarily; with little time and ammo its the only way through this;
Reload speed on six shooter is incredibly jesus; strategizing back and forth to learn and adapt which room and where its gonna count to pistol then revolver and vice versa
Man this was great......my favorite of your Tofu runs!! Definitely felt like this was the most skill based one with limited defensive items and needing to place your shots like Revolver Ocelot. Good stuff man.
Carci is like Shaggy. Even if he takes damage, he's gonna take out his enemy faster than a barefoot jackrabbit on a hot and greasy griddle in the middle of august.
I'm surprised you didn't mention how the SAA has piercing, which is actually kind of handy sometimes when using this character. Dodging Mr. X is also really simple. You just tap forward at the proper spacing and then walk backwards to get the punch to whiff and run past without missing a beat or he'll cancel into his stupid command grab. Walking helps with the bait since it keeps your movement from getting slippery and messing you all up.
imo the window is very tight for a non-speedrunner i know it’s reasonably consistent, but i have not much success with identifying the frames where he won’t throw you backward if you try to run around him.
You have to run straight at him, move backwards, and tap the aim trigger immediately to force your character to face forward instantly. That way you can seamlessly run past him avoiding his 1 frame grab.
I was not trying to be an ass with that last comment. I really like your content and I figured it was a mistake. Thank you for changing the title by the way. I and many others have a ton of respect for you and other creators who pay attention to that stuff.
Funny part is analyzing this. It's plausible to do no damage, You have to rely on the leg stun mechanic so damn much, and mostly your down sides are. -The U turn bridge: They cluster fuck (It was his first knife use) this leads to a risk, It's probable but it's a tight chance. -The Dogs on Bridge: Too many very risky. Have to rely on wiping most out like he pretty much did. -The Room with the 2 dogs: You CAN do a bypass run and luck out without getting a dog bite (It's very hard) -The next portions are not too horrid but you have to be good at leg/foot stunning which is the key- -The Mr. X stairs: Theoretically it's the hardest part and requires the knife to still be active. It's hard but if you can score a grab immunity via the knife. You can run past the scenario but again I bet this is hard to force situational. -And then the cluster fuck at the end with G-Adult yeah I view that as the loss of the knife. -The last part is trial of hell, If you SOMEHOW kept the knife MIGHT be able to to knife grab immunity yourself through the 2nd last portion to the stair well which is jsut a few leg shots to the goal. Theoretically doable, On trial to error process. Impractical to No Damage run it.
My strat for this one was conserving the knife for the courtyard part, letting one of the Ivys grab me and counterattack it so I could escape. I still can't believe I did it in the 1st try and took me 8:07...
This is the one tofu scenario that is giving me an extremely hard time. Having nothing but pistols to use makes it so ridiculously challenging. You can't even take your time and pick off zombies in your path, because Mr. X is on your ass pretty much the entire time. Mr. X forces you to rush forward without pause. And when you have nothing but two pistols.... My god.
I'm not even looking for w speed run for this idc if it takes me 2 hours to beat I just want it beat this an konjac only 2 left I to do I personally just wanna see how you get past mr x and the courtyard because without a grenade or 2 at the end its virtually impossible to get past unless you saved your knife for the end just in case the ivy zombie or a regular zombie grabs you then you counter run and that area will magically turn into flames but what about mr x ? At the end there
I got lucky in the courtyard and passed through the group without getting bitten and but I did get bitten on the last 3 downstairs but I still managed to get through just barely on my 1st try.
I beat it by juking the g adults not sure how lots of running back and forth and de spawning them the one that comes at you from the side i have no idea where that guy went but you know gift horses in mouths basically but I am really proud of myself
