I love Stargate SG-1, but the rendering of the salute was all wrong; first of all, one does not render a salute indoors unless one is reporting to a superior officer in that officer’s office. Second, she rendered her salute to Jack O’Neill, a full bird colonel. Salutes are always directed to the highest ranking officer, who in this case is General Hammond. Lastly, the palm of her hand was visible when she was saluting. A proper hand salute should have the palm turned inwards toward your face.

She was regarded as uber smart with 0 flaws but made so many mistakes. e.g. Solitudes - she steps of the iced up Stargate in Antarctica and says this is an ice planet. Lol.... So much stupid. Many other things were bad along with her command presence is near zero. Dr. Weir was the best leader of Atlantis and had amazing command presence. Anyways, I like Col Carter but they should have made her more "normal" and realistic.
