You forgot to mention the aquarium being built south of the mall/north of NBP, hopefully this will up the desirability of this general area too. I just moved to the Meadows and just discovered the mall two days ago. It's really light and airy and close by is a Whole foods, Fresh market and Sams' club south of Benderson. We went to Lido key twice already and it's a very easy ride if you leave before 10Am on weekends, straight though Fruitville road. We really have lots of things around here and don't need to drive to far anywhere.

Great information. Like everyone else, we are interested in SWF and we find your video's very helpful. The current housing market will probably keep us on the sidelines for a bit, but we love that area. We spent some time in North Port a few months ago and had a great time. Thanks again and we'll probably reach out to you as we try to gather more information about the area.

Is there a Costco?
There is a Costco in Bradenton off of HWY 64 and also one in South Sarasota in the Palmer Ranch area.
there's a Sams club that's very good just south of the lake
Is there a university of some sort near UTC?
There is not a University at UTC however New College of Florida is located at the West End of University Parkway.
Back in the early 1980s, (if I remember correctly), University was originally named County Line Road. It was rebranded when it was purchased for development. Nearby colleges are New College, Ringling College, USF, and FL. State has an actor's studio within the Asolo Conservatory Theater.
