Calvin/Marie - Two years ago I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I had surgery, chemo and radiation. I also have a port which is nice because I can't imagine having the chemo treatments by have an IV put in my arm each time. I just had my annual CT Scan on Friday. I will find out the results in two weeks when I have my appointment with my doctor. It has been a journey but God has been very faithful and got me through it. The medical team that took care of me and still do are wonderful. I go back to have bloodwork and port flush every 3 months. My oncologist and my gynecologist every six months. My radiation doctor is now once a year. My brother-in-law told me once that as you get older the only friends you have are your doctors because you seen them more. There is truth in that.
I went thru the exact same thing. Diagnosed in 2016, in remission since. Still yearly labs. Chemo took away 1/4 of my energy. Loved my port n hated to part with it. Its a lifetime companion! God shared my journey n without Him, I wouldn't have survived.

I don't think that we will ever quit being concerned about it even though we have put it all in God's hand.

It is nice to have someone do the cooking every once in a while. Praying for Gerald, hope he recovers quickly. I think of him often because he has CP like me. Hope this is a better week for you both.

Calvin I will be praying for you. In late august it will be 1 year since his cancer diagnosis. I praise God that there is radiation and meds. The meds have side effects but he is tolerating them ok. His cancer is high risk too
Marie, it is amazing how devotionals and the Bible can always be what we need to hear. I think many of us can take to heart this devotional. We really need to come together in order to be right with God. I'm glad you and Calvin had a wonderful Anniversary. I hope Addison is feeling better now. That vegetable soup really did look good. I am trying to get settled in my new apartment. Moving is not easy. I do not like to ask for help and moved all the boxes myself and the movers moved all my furniture. I really do not know where I had all of that stuff because I lived in a one bedroom apartment now I have 2. I have got almost all my things unpacked but do not have room for all my things. It is strange to find things you had forgot all about. I found a watch that I thought I had lost and that was great. It really upset me to think I had lost it about 2 years ago but I found it when the movers were there. God is so good.Praying for yall.

I know when I would say sometime when I was young and still do that if I was mad at my parents when they would say no I would get mad and go to my room angry 😡 but also because of their parenting I would have to go tell them before I went to bed because of their telling me as well as with anyone I would get mad at and tell them I’m sorry because that is whether Jesus required to make restitution for my anger. It’s always better to not let the sun ☀️ go down on your anger. So that when we go to God he cleans our heart ❤️ and mind of all. May you both have a blessed week ❤️✝️🙏

I know when I would say sometime when I was young and still do that if I was mad at my parents when they would say no I would get mad and go to my room angry 😡 but also because of their parenting I would have to go tell them before I went to bed because of their telling me as well as with anyone I would get mad at and tell them I’m sorry because that is whether Jesus required to make restitution for my anger.
