    I recently received and Quicksilver Card after having a bankruptcy. I know, I do not know how it happened either. Any way, I only used it to pay for things I already had money available for. Bills, Gas, etc. I paid those debts within one week of incurring them. After four months Capital One doubled my limit, without even asking. Double, Triple, or just pay off your debts early, seemed to the best way to get that increase, quickly.

      Hey Steve! I was discharged in February. I got pre-approved for a quicksilver one card. I was surprised they gave me 2000 cl. 5 months later they gave me a 2500$ increase. So I’m up to 4500$ in less than 6 months right out of a bankruptcy. I’m happy asf

    Had this card for 5 years, used it daily. Payed off every time, never carried a balance. Never received a credit line increase, has stayed at $1,500 for 5 years. Opened Navy Fed card instantly approved for 25K. Capital one offered to upgrade my quicksilver to a Savor, they instead opened a new credit card with 7k line. My advice get this card to help build credit, capital one is notorious for minimal credit line increases. Once your credit is good enough get a AMEX or Navy Fed credit card. Capital one increase limits for those who max the card out and pay the minimum payment on 19% APY. Only digging them further into debt.

      I recently added Cap 1 (bankruptcy in 2021) starting with $5k limit. 700+ fico. I was authorized on a family member card to kickstart me out of 2021 fiasco and added (4) cards fairly quickly with a combined just under $15k overall limit. I had to close Aspire due to their shenanigans of changing ToS to add a $5 maintenance fee monthly (I didn't want to pay it and wait for the next thing to be snuck in). I'd say the #1 lesson I've picked up, is be "choosy" about the c/c's you pick. Be patient. Set yourself up with the idea that the c/c you choose is going to be with you for decades.

      No that won't help, Capital One mainly wants to see high monthly usage to increase your limit. If you were bucketed from the beginning it can take much longer. Great score BTW.

    Loved the video bro I miss my credit up when I was younger and I got approved for the small credit one Quicksilver one $300 limit. I used all the limit and then paid my balance off and one payment. It’s taking a little bit because it’s a new card for my money to go back on, but I’m assuming it gets better overtime. This helps

    I’ve only been using 10% of my limit. Before I was just starting and had no credit. Capital one accepted me and I had a $500 limit, I used $50 a month and paid it off on time. After a bit I was raised to $800, I use about $80 a month on gas or whatever. Are there any more effective ways to be using my card? I can afford to pay it off using 100% each month, I just assumed that was bad

    • @SAKAICHEWY
      @SAKAICHEWY Год назад

      I always use 50% or less of my available and pay it off every month it seems to work well. But some say you can max it out for faster limit increases as long as the balance is paid off before they run your credit the next time

    I’m confused, I’ve always heard to keep my utilization under 30%. I have a very low limit of 200 on the secured version of this card. In the beginning are you saying I can “bypass” this buy paying off early? (before the due date). Essentially “resetting” resetting the utilization percent?

      One of the most important things to focus on is your statement end date. Didn’t matter how often you use and pay off your card as long as you’re under 10% by your statement end date. Then pay off remaining balance before the due date which is different from the statement end date. That will report as 10% or less utilization while you’re able to use the card and pay it off as often as you wish.

    I finally was able to upgrade to the regular quicksilver card, but I still have a low limit. I only get $100 increases. Ive been able to get approved for different cards like I just got approved for the Savor card but only a $500 limit. My credit has improved but it still needs work. But I did get approved recently for a business card from cap one with a $5,000 limit. I haven’t really carried a balance but I have for the past couple months. Hopefully it triggers a increase in the next few months. I’ll request one after a couple more months of carrying a balance.
    Quicksilver- $700
    SavorOne- $500 (New)
    Platinum- $500
    Spark Business - $2400
    Spark Business Select - $5000 (New)
