- Tilak Devasher is Member of India's Premier Body: National Security Advisory Board.
He is the author of the widely acclaimed book ‘Pakistan: Courting the Abyss’ published by Harper Collins India in December 2016. It has been described by a noted Pakistani intellectual- Khalid Ahmed- as ‘easily the best book on Pakistan.’ Tilak retired as Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India in October 2014. During his professional career he specialized in security issues, especially pertaining to India’s neighbourhood. He has served both in India and abroad. In India, he was in J&K and abroad he has served in missions in Islamabad, San Francisco, Yangon and London. Tilak has written articles for the Economic Times, Indian Express, India Today, Vivekananda International Foundation, Catch News, Daily O and South Asia Monitor. He has appeared on TV shows selectively. His second book on Pakistan is "Pakistan At The Helm". His Third book will be released shortly. Tilak is an alumnus of Mayo College, Ajmer and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.

Best guest. Best Host. Best Podcast! What we Hindus were was before the Buddhist conversion of Ashoka the Great. Gandhi again tried to make us into Buddhists. A religion which came from our Hindu religion, but which promotes peace to the level which is so Anti Hindu that the religion has mostly been relegated to outside India. As such these poor Pakistani so called generals etc think of us Hindus as Buddhists they have misjudged and have lost due to their poor judgement. As a Pakistani, I listen and read critics and opponents of Pakistan. Positive criticism feels good, even if it comes from the enemy. But it is sad to say that dozens of people like Major Gooru Ariya, Pushpinder, Shasil Pandit, G D Bakshi keep speaking against Pakistan through hatred and propaganda. Meaning, this is a nameless intellectual, neither has he been to Pakistan all his life, nor has he a good knowledge of the ground facts, he just got the material on the net, mix lies in it and give his speech to the listeners. Meaning, if in the eyes of all of them, Pakistan is not at all important and neither is it harmful, then why do these Indian media and intellectuals keep discussing about Pakistan day and night and get their ratings and views. These intellectuals should think about the internal affairs of India today. Stop thinking about Pakistan.
