Dude...I finally understand what my issue has been this whole time! I'm skinny fat. I was eating in a caloric deficit and working out without seeing any results. Super frustrating. I was not focusing on building muscle I was trying to lose weight. This makes so much sense now. My mind is blown. Thank you so much for spelling it out for an idiot like me haha

I litreally needed this so bad i ruined my body i went from 96kg to 75kg but my body core the whole body was soft and so fatty it was like almost nothing changed my arms and legs and my face changed and some changes to waist i was happy but not for long now i have found this video i am going to work the hell out and give you all the updates i feel blessed 4am in the morning i litreally hate this skinny fat body so glad i could understand whats wrong with me

I do have lighter weighs (up to 10 lbs. and below) but I know what to do with Pilates, as I've done it in the past, but as far as lifting weights, I'm lost. So will I be able to achieve my new goal with Pilates alone? Or is weight lifting essential? Note...I'm a 49 year old female, weighing 134 at 5' 4"...I would like to get back down to 130. Thanks a bunch! :)

You lose more lean muscle instead of body fat when you go on a calorie deficit and focus on cardio instead of strength training Or when you go on a deficit and not exercise at all ! therefore you end up looking skinny fat . You feel like you still have too much body fat but the scale is moving down because you’re losing more muscle than body fat !

when you say obese, I guess that depends on if it's going by america's standards. If we are, I'm obese. I'm 36 years old, 6'1, 240 lbs roughly, I don't look it though. I carry most of my excess weight on my love handles. I have fairly slim arms and wrists, i'm not very bulky. But I'm flabby and my body's jiggly, with clothes on you wouldn't be able to tell. I guess that still makes me skinny fat? Anyway, I notice the scale will no longer budge after a while I hover around the same weight regardless of lifting 30 minutes and cardio 30 minutes. I've been struggling with meeting my protein requirements for the day. It's hard because I don't have much of an appetite in the morning and I get bloated and lethargic rather quickly after eating.

I was 30 pounds close to goal, but then I STARTED strength and I upped 10pds… I got a wedding in July 2022…like 2 months 😫 I am soo lost now that I see what I did wrong 😑 help🫣😬 I feel like I’m bulking my stomach area and not even the target areas I’d like to fix😒

If you still have some fat to lose, you would still do all of these things, except be in a calorie deficit instead of a maintenence level, right?
yes :) but if you are skinny fat, if you build muscle, you will look totally different and may realize you don't need to "lose fat" at all :)
