The overwhelming majority of Chinese communists just hid in the mountains while the Chinese Nationalists fought to protect China. Mao himself said he was glad the Japanese invaded because they weakened the KMT enough for the communists to take over (and then failed to invade Taiwan twice after the true Chinese government fled there in exile).

I don't know what you mean, but Sinn Sing Hoi composed many songs for both ROC and PRC, his purpose was for the homeland to be peaceful, without gunfire, bombs and footprints of invaders (typically Japan).
