It feels so strange to listen to someone speaking about my country with so much passion and joy, while watching the city where I live on the background. It makes me wonder. I'm not really used to appreciate my country and Milan. I'm always focused on the worse sides of my country and I've always had the feeling that I'm living in the wrong place, that I just wanna be somewhere else. Maybe I should just be grateful for everything I have.
I feel exactly like you! I have been escaping from Italy since 2 years now, but watching this video I kind of tried to see Milan from your eyes Lucy. Great video, as always! 😍
Honestly I can totally understand why a lot of people leave, it’s obviously a country not without its problems! it makes me really upset seeing a country with such beautiful history, culture, views and language get hurt…. I hope Italy can get back on track❤️
I honestly didn’t know about little Italian mannerisms like the espresso but I love that each culture has they’re own identity. Taking the time to value the moment is so Important and videos like this remind me of that 💛
This was just in time. Recently I’ve been to Albufeira ( Portugal ) with some friends and while we were having real fun I thought to myself: “I’ll never get to experience this twice” and it got me thinking. You seem to have this ability to tackle things that are just on my mind haha
Glad to hear you had a nice time in Albufeira, it's where I was raised and where I currently am right now after interrailing. You're right, it's the same thing I would have to keep telling myself visiting the countries I visited, it's great to stop and think about what we are doing, and live in the moment. Really glad Lucy makes these videos because it's the kind of thing that goes through my mind too and she just writes so well.
Just finished my Interrail trip and you're right, there were times where I realised I might not be able to do something like this again, and to visit the places I did, I honestly felt really lucky. It is both bittersweet and overwhelming truly, to think back on it all and know it's gone, but I think that's a good thing, like you said, nothing lasts forever. Just seeing this video gave me fond memories, since I was in Milan not too long after the date you filmed this (I was there on the 29th) and visited most of the places featured here. Hopefully it's something I get to do again but if I don't, at least I can look back on it knowing I did do it and not everyone gets to have an experience like this. Looking forward to seeing more of your trip and hear more of your insightful writing, I wish I could write as well as you do haha. Hope the rest of your trip goes as well as mine did. Carpe diem
Thank you so much, Lucy. This was exactly what I needed right now. I’ve just had a fight with my best friend who means everything to me. This video made me remember all the food times we had together. And that everything will get better one day, even if it doesn’t feel like this right now.
Thank you for this wonderful video, and I hope that today, 2 years in the future, you are making another wonderful memory or doing something completely ordinary that is worth enjoying fully :)
I LOVE this video! I understand and relate to a lot of what you said in this video (and really most of your videos that I watched, I have lots of love for the video where you talked about simplicity, I love simply living and living simply ), from wanting to take a mental picture to Nothing being permanent. I sometimes think how funny and cool it would be to get a tattoo that would say "Nothing's Permanent" or one that says "Everything is Temporary" hehe
Wow, what background music is that? Could be straight out of Forrest Gump. It sounds so thoughtful and deep... Great video, great atmosphere. Much inspiration. :) What's it like for you to switch from being in front of a camera more to being behind it?
I use Epidemic Sound for all of my videos, although I can neverrrr remember which song went with each video ahah! I love Franz Gordon on there, I use a lot of his songs!
Your videos give such a nice, homie kinda vibe. The kinda feeling that brings me back memories from my childhood. I don’t know what it is, but everything about your videos really bring a nice warmth within me, I start to contemplate a lot whilst listening to your words, thanks again, for yet another, immaculate video 🌷
I recently started seeing your videos and in a way, it's helpful as it makes me calmer, and present and helps me with my being☮️. I just have a request can you please share the music's name in the description.
I do love your approach to nostalgia. It’s tye memory of a great moment lived. The memory often relates to the feeling we experienced in the moment. And very true, nothing lasts, not the good or the bad. It is like a wave. Lovely thoughts. Thanks for sharing. 🌸
this video is just five minutes long but it brought me to tears as i thought back to my interrail trip and what beautiful people i met on the way. thank you for reminding me of these moments

I prefer being behind the camera 10000%! I’d much rather film beautiful views than my face haah, hopefully the viewers prefer it too😎
@@LucyAlllan Good for you. Might be best if you should get "too big". Not everyone needs to know your face. Stay safe. :)
I love these short clips, they make me more aware of life and everything around me :)
Thank you!!

Great content! Can you make videos about what is a purpose of travelling, how to find motivation to study?
