Can only agree with the other comments - awesome videos - water pump ordered and awaiting delivery. Much more confident replacing it myself after this video. Well done.
What a great video. My water pump is leaking at exactly the same spot. It might as well be from that one corroded pipe, but impossible to see. Took me a while to locate the leak. Hope I can get myself to do it, otherwise based in Thailand, labour is not that expensive. Again, thank you very much for this video.
Hey, very informative, thank you! I just had a quick question, mine seems to be leaking from the mating surface between the pump and block, is there a weep hole or something on that fitting surface where the leak could be coming from? So far ive checked the hoses above and theyre all fine.. is it possible that it could be leaking from that little plate like thing that im guessing is the weep hole?
Not much working room. Need elbows like wrists. My first car in the 70s (holden EK) had heaps of room around the engine and about 2 kms less hoses. I could literally get in the engine bay with the engine. Entertaining video, thanks mate.
Hi mate, Water pump outlets at 7:49. I have a split in a hose that runs to the outlet that is capped on your ones at 7:49. Do you know what this would be? Mines a 3.2TD manual tranny
Hey mate cheers for the vid! Much clearer than most, have a question for you, my ranger has does 334.000kms, just ordered a new water pump, I’m losing coolant even without the car running and no major leaks will have to check for the pump leaking, do you reckon it’ll most likely solve it or am I going to be looking at a head gasket. Cheers!
Mate, your vidios is amazing. Thanks for genuien practical tips. However i have a problem of a wiseling noise that no one can identitfy. Starts at about 1000 Revs, to 2000. Sounds like a siren accending as revs go up. Sounds like it comes from the turbo to the intercooler. Checked all pipping connections, intercooler right up to the throttel body. Replaced all belt pulleys, compleat fan, except water pump pulley. Ford did ran a full scan, but cant find where this wiseling noise comes from. Any ideas will be welcome. Pleas guys. Its driving me crazy.
Unrelated to the water pump I have had to replace that already lol. Just wondering if you have had troubles with engine mounts? I have replaced mine and the right hand side has worn through again. Might be different because mine is 3.2. Just thought you might have some insight? Keep up the good content mate 👌
Hey mate, my 2014 px XLT only gets about 400kms to a tank. How do you get over 800 to a tank? I've got 20inch 33s & a 2 inch lift but otherwise nothing else
Another quality video ....If you get time can you do one of your uploads for cv replacement ...I think you would explain it well with good detail ...Keep it up
ruclips.net/video/_vZ_51-tjGw/видео.html I learnt how to change mine from this guy, good video & it turned out to be actually so much easier then I thought it would!
hi sir. i have the same problem with my 2.2 everest/endeavor. found the leak from the rear part of the water pump exactly same location as you described. question. what is the solution if i dont have a replacent of that black pipe connected to the rear part of the water pump? is there a gasket between the water pump and the black pipe where i can just replaced it?
@@abdautomotive i found that black pipe called water pump manifold from the online shop. already ordered one. tomorrow hopefuly i can find a 50mm rubber o ring to replace the old one while waiting for the manifold. thank you so much for your response sir and the video you made is a big help.
@@abdautomotive i just pulled out my waterpump. its kind of hard to pull the manifold out from the pump. do i have to pull it forcefully? kind of hesitant doing it today coz im scared might break since the manifold is made of plastic. hope you can guide me on this so i will be able to fix this problem by tomorrow. thank u so much sir.
Hello looking for help I just brought a 2.2 ranger auto on a 2012 plate and the temperature gauge isn't working at it feels like there is no water being pumped round any ideas please guys
@Abandoned Automotive I've now replaced the temperature sensor and thermostat plus the water pump still the same I'm guessing it could be an electrical fault

blank your EGR cooler & clean your intake manifold , you should pick up 2L per 100km
@@abdautomotive thanks mate, did you just install a blanking plate or full bypass?

You make it look so easy..
it's a 2hr job
Very helpful vid, In the middle of doing mine but whoever was in there last put all the clamps in the worst way possible, 4 hours later have it out. 🥵
yeh the factory orientation of the clamps ain't the best, i stuggled a bit
Glad to this still going strong! What do you think of the 2.2 in terms of reliability?
the motors are really good & reliable, just the plastic parts around them that fail, i guess most manufacturers go plastic now days to save money.
