I've been struggling BIG TIME trying to figure out what cruise line to take for my very first cruise. What complicates things is I'm travelling alone and I'm 68 years old. This may be my first and only cruise, so I don't want to mess this one up. Because I was interested in a solo balcony to get the entire cruising experience at sea, initially I was looking at the NCL. However, the reviews for the Epic were underwhelming. After seeing this video, I can see why. The Odyssey of the Sea is GEORGEOUS! Visually this ship blows every other one I've seen away - beautiful colors, upscale-looking, a Cirque-type showroom, and a Sports Bar which is strangely missing from every other ship I've looked at. I'm not particularly fond of kids running around, but there seems to be plenty of other deck space and areas for adults. I'm a Vegas guy, and the comparison I'd make is comparing Caesars' Palace (the Odyssey) to the Luxor (NCL Epic). You've made my decision easier!

Thanks just finished our 1st cruise 🚢 on the Symphony of the seas in the Med. Hope we haven’t spoiled ourself with being on such a large vessel first 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

This ship is almost the exact same size as the Carnival Mardi Gras but sails with 3,000 less guests. Just seems like it won’t feel crowded at all.
How much square foo is a 3 person state room compared to a 2 person state room
